This place is a bit of a drive, but so much better than the chain restaurants right off the freeway. We got there around 10:00 AM on a Saturday morning, and every table was full, so we ended up sharing a large table with another group. That was plenty fun. Our coffee was refilled as fast as we could drink it, and the waitress was helpful and funny. It seemed like a lot of customers were regulars, but they made us feel right at home too. My husband had a Big Breakfast with ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit with gravy. He said all of the meat was plump and flavorful, and the biscuit melted in his mouth. I had eggs and bacon, scrambled with cheese and house potatoes, with a pancake instead of toast. The bacon was crispy, they were generous with the cheese, and they had the green jalapeño Tabasco-my favorite kind. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside. The portions were so large, I took over half of it home to eat later. The food is great, the customer service was fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. We will be back the next time we're passing through. As we left, our waitress offered my husband a large to-go cup of coffee "for the road". Saw a review about racism by the staff but it was from awhile back so decided to grab a bite here as we were passing through. As soon as we walked in, all eyes were on us. Not in the most welcoming way but at first, we thought it was due to being a clear "out of towner". As we sat, I realized that I may not be welcome with multiple pro gun/republican signage (nothing wrong with that, we all have our beliefs, but typically those beliefs align with folks that don't welcome me - a black woman). After our waitress asked for our drinks, a regular (everyone knew him by name) pulled her to the side and said "if you have any trouble with her(meaning me), let me know and I'll take care of it" and she laughed and walked to the back. Moral of the story, if you're just passing through - I wouldn't recommend stopping by unless you'd like to be ogled, laughed at, and made uncomfortable. We quickly ate our food (typical bland diner food) and left a nice tip because I know COVID has been rough on everyone and left as quick as we could. read more

A few people I know in Anderson touted Becca's Cafe as the best breakfast in the area. As a HUGE fan of breakfast foods I had to do some investigating myself. Here's what I found. This is a really old fashioned style cafe complete with one or two regulars who don't mind helping the staff out and cleaning when things get busy. It's kind of charming to be honest. The food is pretty darn good and lived up to my expectations. I got the three egg breakfast and the eggs were cooked perfectly, the toast as well, and the hash browns were amazing and crispy. The high point however is the breakfast sausage; it was easily my favorite I've ever had. It might look a little humble from the outside but these folks sure know how to knock out a great breakfast! read more

If you're looking for a typical greasy diner breakfast, you've come to the right place. I had higher expectations because of the positive Yelp reviews. This is basically a God-guns-country kind of place, with nice but busy waitstaff. That's all fine. It's really the food that left me nonplussed. My "scrambler" was a messy, overcooked, greasy omelette; my friend's corned beef hash was straight from a can. My avocado half was tiny and hard. The house potatoes were pretty good. The side of fruit consisted of canned peaches. Needless to say, no gluten free options. You don't have many choices in Anderson, so it's all relative. But I'd honestly rather eat breakfast at Starbucks. I feel a bit duped by the high ratings here, so I wanted to provide an alternative point of view. Becca's opened from 6am-1:30ish. Good place for some country eats. Had their special today: Carmel banana French toast, eggs and sausage. Even tough the eggs are a bit under cooked, sausage a bit salty, but taste like home made ate it with the extra pancake I ordered on the side. Best pancake I've ever had. Good by itself, no syrup needed. 4 star is for their pancakes & service. Will come back and try their tuna melt and other items on menu. Friendly service! read more

Sorry, changing my review and deleting the photo. The one I wrote here earlier was supposed to be for a different restaurant. The employees here at Becca's were very nice, but the food was ok. Nothing special. I ordered a half turkey sandwich on wheat. The bread was very thin bread, so sandwich didn't hold up very well. Meat tasted like processed ham instead of turkey. Came with 1 slice of meat folded over. 1 very small piece of lettuce and 2 small thin slices of tomato. Too much mayonnaise on it. Sandwich reminded me of the sandwiches my young nieces used to make me with Oscar Meyer meat. The side I ordered was cottage cheese with fruit. Cottage cheese had peach slices on top if it. Was slightly runny. Maybe it was low fat or fat free. Person with me ordered the grilled cheese which was very crunchy, but cheese tasted like the individual wrapped processed cheese and it tasted like it was grilled in oil. Not going to return to this restaurant. Neither one if us felt very well, later on. Everyone else in the restaurant was regulars or friends, either being called by their names, or getting up from their tables and going in and out of kitchen and talking to the employees. We were the only people they did not know. Surprised they got any ratings higher than a 3, which we felt was generous. Must have been friends writing the reviews. In all fairness though, we only had the lunch and most of the reviews were for their breakfasts. Maybe their breakfasts are better. read more

Great food and amazing service! Went to Becca's Cafe for breakfast this morning for the first time and we have now found our new favorite breakfast restaurant! We loved everything about this place! From the small family feel of the restaurant, to the regular locals that they knew by name, to good homestyle breakfast, and then to top it off seeing the owner not only waiting on tables, but bussing the tables too! You must keep in mind that you are in the north state and good restaurants are hard to come by. Good service is even harder to come by. So 4 stars up here definitely isn't 4 stars in the Bay Area or other parts of the country. My husband and I stopped here on a Sunday morning. The place was full and we waited patiently to be seated. Thankfully another customer came in and informed us he was a regular and it was a "seat yourself" place. Once we were seated the waitress promptly brought us menus. The food was ok. I will say that the potatoes, which we ordered without cheese or gravy, were excellent. I'm not sure what they cook their eggs in, but they were definitely a bit too greasy for my liking. My scramble was missing an ingredient but that wasn't going to make or break this meal. Next time I will order a couple hamburger patties with fixings, and a side of the breakfast potatoes without cheese or gravy. Decor: it's definitely a little country cafe and clutter makes me twitchy so I would prefer much less but again, didn't make or break the meal. Here's why I will go back - the potatoes were great and, as an army mom, I love that they support our troops and our vets. I will go back just to donate to their boxes for troops. read more

We were in Redding to see Willie Nelson this past weekend. My daughter lives in Anderson and suggested Becca's on our drive back to the Bay Area. My mom had waffles and ham. I had eggs over medium, pancakes and link sausage. My daughter had an omelet and pancakes. Everything was very tasty. Eggs cooked perfectly. $34 for the 3 of us, including coffee and OJ.
