Emani and the esthetician team at Beauty Strike are so good at what they do! My mom and I have been coming here for facials once a month for maybe 4 years. In each appointment, your esthetician will address any skin concerns you may have and offer a range of add-ons to leave you glowing (shoutout to my girl Alaisha!). They will also answer any questions on their products/techniques, or just chat while they work on you. Alternatively, if you're feeling quiet, you can just enjoy the soothing sounds they play in the background (I've dozed off during facials a few times). Either way, the team is super friendly and the spa is always cozy. They also sell the full line of products in their store, but the estheticians are never pushy in trying to get you to buy anything. My mom and I have the monthly membership, which makes the most sense if you're coming more than once a month for any services. They have sales on treatments and products pretty frequently if you're signed up for their text alerts, so definitely look out for those if you're on a budget. Their facials are also a super easy gift idea for literally anyone, I typically get people a set of 3. Since the spa is a little out of the way, I always suggest that people make an afternoon out of it - if you're commuting via the A or G train, it's a nice walk through Clinton Hill. There are also a few cafes on the block, as well as a great Italian place that offers pizza or a sit-down dinner if you're really hungry. My partner also comes for facials and lymphatic massages, and he has always had positive experiences here - they do a great job of making everyone feel comfortable. I'm a huge skincare lover and have been looking to work with a Black esthetician, so when I found Emani on Twitter I was very excited to support a Black woman owned business. I got a city detox facial and dermaplanning done and I must say Emani did a great job. My skin was so smooth and hydrated for weeks after (attached photo is from after my service). Emani also suggested products for me to use, specially for the issues I want to work on which I appreciated. As far as customer service: Emani was the only one at the store and she was kind and communicative while she finished up with a previous client. Although I got there early she started my treatment about 20mins late and finished at the time allotted for my service. So the full 60mins was not used in my session, which I feel should have been since that was what is called out when booking the service and it was her who started the service late. I came here on my birthday for a Swedish massage. There was no receptionists to buzz me in and the masseuse there barely gave me instructions. I misheard her instructions and went towards the back for my massage since my appointment had already started. However, she told me to take a seat. I apologized and told her I'll take a seat right away but she told me she's cancelling my appointment because I "don't know how to listen" I bought it on ClassPass and she used that against me to cancel. I searched to find quality care and treatments in my BK area, intentionally looking for black business owners to support. I found Beauty Strike and signed up for the 2 facials a month membership. Miesha and another young lady were my first aestheticians, and they were great. But then I was switched to the owner, Emani. At first, we hit it off good. I even purchased her skincare that she recommended. My last service with her was not good. And bonus, I had to return to LA for work. So I told Emani at my last appointment on Dec 16, 2024 to cancel my membership. I also called and spoke to another aesthetician two days later and asked that she canceled it, and she confirmed. On Dec 29th, I was still charged $175 for January 2025. I called Emani, and she said that she would look into it. After that call, she has now ignored every call from me since. Emani never responded to a voicemail or an email from me. She is not the type of business owner I would ever support again. For me, it's not about the money, it's about the principle and the decency to honor the customer service that she claims to provide, rather than hide and ignore a customer for a mere $175. Emani is super down to earth and an artist behind the formulas. This is the first skincare line I can use confidently, so helpful to my sensitive, hybrid skin type. Excellent service, and welcoming environment, relative to what I usually pay at other places, this was absolutely more affordable.

The space was clean and Sydnee was absolutely excellent. She provided me with an excellent facial and was incredibly sweet beginning, middle, and end. However the experience was really soured by the way the owner, Emani, treated guests. We were so surprised since we expected the owner of a small business to be engaging with us with the same kindness and positivity we were extending. However she repeatedly dismissed our simple questions as us "being too anxious" and spoke really negatively throughout. She didn't do the proper skin analysis advertised for my partner, didn't send follow up care instructions like they advertise and like Sydnee did, and barely engaged with any of the questions. Sydnee was extremely helpful during my facial and tailored my facial to my specific routine which was such excellent care. Full grace to Emani who might have been having a bad day, but as the owner and representative of a service oriented establishment being so callous with customers means they won't come back or spread word about your business. I also encourage folks to tip directly to the aesthetician instead of leaving it in the tip jar so you know your provider is getting what you intended them to get. read more

I placed an order with Beauty Strike on 11/29/2020. I received an email with USPS tracking information on 12/5/2020 claiming that my order had been shipped. Today is 1/15/2021 and according to the USPS website, they are still waiting for this package to arrive at their facilities. I reached out to Beauty Strike via email on 12/21/2020 and they responded a week later, letting me know they would contact USPS for an update, and get back to me. After a few days without an update, I reached out again asking for information about the order, or a refund. It took multiple emails to get a response from them, and when they did respond (1/6/21), I was told again that they would be reaching out to USPS, and if there was no resolution, I would be sent a replacement order. Any reputable business would have sent me a replacement when I first reached out, considering this was close to a month after the order was placed. I reached out to Beauty Strike via email again and received no response. On 1/12/2021 I called their storefront location because my email had not been answered. I spoke with the owner, Emani Jeter who proceeded to give me an attitude for the duration of the call. She tried to rush me off the phone, claiming that all communication regarding online orders must be done via email. I let her know that I had been contacting them via email, but had stopped receiving responses. When I asked her for a refund she very rudely let me know that the refund policy was on her website rather than telling me what that policy was. I asked her what the policy was and she read it verbatim from her website, stating that Beauty Strike did not offer refunds. When I asked her if it was okay for her to have my money without providing the products I ordered, she brushed me off and said I would be contacted via email. I have not received any further email correspondence from this business. I have not received my original order. I have not received a replacement order. I have not received a refund. As can be seen in other customer reviews, this is a regular issue for Beauty Strike. This business has a clear inability to ship orders in a timely fashion, and when customers attempt to contact this business about these missing orders, they are met with delayed response times (or no response at all). The owner Emani, is clearly unable to take accountability for these issues, or to fix them. She is also desperately lacking customer service skills. Customer service is horrible (I agree with other yelpers wit the same issue) my items never shipped and no one tried to help me with my order. I wrote an email and nothing happened. Also the facials are nothing spectacular and sometimes the ingredients aren't that good. Again I wanted to love this place. I'll never go here again after having a reaction and no refund. I don't think this place will last. You're better off going to another person for a facial. Also she sometimes doesn't show up to her own appointments that you book and doesn't send you a warning. I placed an order last month and have had 0 contact with the brand about shipping info. I emailed several times only for the business emails TO NOT WORK. I called the store to speak to the owner and the receptionist asked for my number and order number and claimed that they would call me back when she's in the store. THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME VIA PHONE CALL EITHER. I've DMd them on Instagram and didn't get a response until I left a public comment about not receiving my order. Then they never messaged me back. I was then having a discussion with someone on their post about how she didn't get any info on her order either. Then I'm getting more replies to them asking for my order number which they already asked for and I provided. 5 MINUTES LATER, THEYVE DELETED MY COMMENT AND THE OTHER CUSTOMERS COMMENTS AS WELL. Our whole conversation GONE. I'm beyond disgusted with the lack of transparency and communication with this company. I spent almost $90 on this order bc I loved the body scrub but I'll never ever ever order a product from this place again. The only reason I'm giving one star is because zero isn't an option. With all of the mess that's going on in this country, I really wanted to reach out and start supporting more black-owned businesses. I came across Beauty Strike, and figured they seemed like a legitimate skincare company that cares about their customers and the people. HA! I placed my order for two products, on 7/18/2020, but was fully aware there would be a 3-4 week delay due to covid and the fact the order needed to be shipped to the West Coast. On 7/30/2020, I received an email with a USPS tracking number but the information noted the order had not yet reached a USPS facility. I assumed the shipping label was created and would be dropped off at the facility in a few days. Nope. On 8/17/2020, I emailed the company and got a response a couple days later from an Emani Jeter stating due to covid there were delays, but they'd ship it out ASAP. They also sent me a $5 gift card for their store that had a 1-month expiration. Why in the world would I be interested in buying anything else from them when I didn't even get my first order?? On 9/2/2020, I emailed again requesting a refund. At this point, they clearly still have the $55 worth of product I purchased, and it does not appear they will ever ship it out. As of 9/11/2020, I have yet to receive a response on my refund request. This is the first time I have had to deal with such terrible customer service and it's really a shame it's coming from a black-owned business. I always try to support my people, but this is just very unfortunate. I would absolutely recommend NOT ever dealing with Beauty Strike. The owner and anyone else involved should be ashamed, and I'm not just saying that off of my own experience. terrible customer service, never received my order from NOVEMBER after I had emailed them multiple times saying I contacted USPS and route which was the package insurance they made me purchase. Route said my package had no insurance and they even tried to reach out to this trash company and they got no reply. I ended up disputing the charge from my bank because clearly I was never going to receive my product. They ended up emailing me in March (4 months after ordering) with some bullshit gift card. They also blamed USPS and instead of sending people replacements when they noticed nobody got their packages, they decided to take peoples money. It's also funny they blamed USPS because I ordered packages from other companies at the same time (black friday) and I received every single order via USPS. If I could give zero stars I would. As a black woman I try support black businesses when I can but when things like this happen I will not. I decided to order a few things, a week almost went by and I wanted to inquire about it. I went on her business Instagram page where I saw a customer comment about their package and they wanted an update. I replied to her comment and ask if she heard anything and she hadn't(it had been 6 days) I commented back and said that I'm thinking about asking for a refund because it's a bad look for a "business owner" to not respond to customers in a timely manner. The owner decided to respond to my comment, said she would give me a refund. The most relaxing facial I've ever had. Emani's hands are magic. Her products smell and feel heavenly (which are designed by her) and vegan friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
