I decided to get a pedicure, which they're doing a promo for $19.99, so don't miss out on that (normal price is $40). Or you can pick 10% of for your entire service if you're doing other services. They do serve beverages; soda, juice, and alcohol. It was nice that there was a selection. They have a head spa which my friend and I tried out. We chose the Classic option that was really relaxing. A scalp massage and blow dry. The manager kept checking up on my friend and I if we were doing okay, which was very nice of her. While we were there, they gave us a free keychain and gift for the grand opening. Not sure if you can expect the same post-grand opening. She did a great job executing the top part of my nails and shortening them as I requested as I am starting a pottery class I need them short for. My issue is the fact that the thumbs and pointer fingers were not executed well in terms of the refill. I left the salon and noticed giant gaps on my thumbs. These photos were taken less than 24 hours after getting my nails done and it looks like my thumbs have been grown out for over 1 week. I have been getting my nails done for years and they do not grow this fast and I have never had them look like this immediately after leaving a Salon. They were asking me to pay $25 to get the refill fixed and repolished. The only thing they are offering to do for free is to touch up the gel. So I was stuck with heavily grown out acrylic that will be masked by gel. I was speaking with Than over the past 2 days and I became more and more upset with my interaction with them. They were unwilling to offer me any better option to fix my thumbs and pointer fingers even though this was an error of their employee. In my one email I used the word "crappy" to describe the work done on my nails and then they refused me service altogether. I paid $60 for these nails that look grown out 1+ weeks and I have only had them for 3 days. These likely won't last for another week and I feel insanely ripped off. I am shocked by this and this is truly the worst experience I've had at a Richmond nail Salon yet. In response to owners response (on Google) These are nails that I wanted done for my anniversary and I am upset they look the way they do after just 3 days. The polish is not the concern so that was not a real solution. The solution offered to me was offensive as I was requested to pay 50% the cost of a 10 finger refill to fix 4 fingers when this was not done properly the first time by an employee of yours. I agreed in email that the other fingers seemed to have grown naturally but I provided photos from Saturday showing the giant gap on my thumbs. That was taken less than 24 hours later. I did not say something at the salon because I did not notice it until I got outside, nor was I asked if I liked them. I had dinner plans to get to so I could not spend more time there. I find it completely unnecessary to decline services to me for using the word "crappy". It seems to me based off of prior reviews that your business does not fix mistakes that you make.

I don't usually have issues with dip polish, but after 1.5/2 weeks, my nails have started to chip and come up off the nail bed. Other experiences have lasted over 4 weeks and I'm typically pretty hard on my nails. I did not receive any cuticle treatment or anything else of the likes even with the basic manicure package. I also felt like the price for what I paid was a bit steep (yes I'm aware of the inflated prices of service literally everywhere) for it to especially not last. I should have walked out as soon as I opened the door. Chop shop! No sanitization. Nail clippers straight from drawer and straight back in drawer. The brushes they used at the pedicure tub are old and gross. Hard plastic bristles rubbed over my feet and then the brush was put right back in the cart. They all have gloves on but only to protect themselves. Cross contamination all the way around. Thank god I brought my own polish from home. The girl that did my service was nice but she piled polish on my nails in layers and when she finished she said to sit for 5 to 10 mins then I could go. Well I did what she said even though I was dodging fruit flies and other gnats from doing the backstroke in my wet polish. When I went to bed that night I woke up with sheet prints and lines in my polish because clearly each coat wasn't allowed to dry before she piled the next glob on top. I paid and was asked not to use plastic but cash only for service and tip. I should have just lit that $80 bucks on fire. I will never return here. It is filthy and so gross. The girl that did my service didn't even take my old polish off all the way. It was clear but you could tell it was there. She Just started filing away. Used a Dremel like tool that the burr was never changed or cleaned. Just nasty. Like dirty nasty. Please don't get me started on the "hot towel" that she used. Ickkk!
