This put my mind at ease after being previously anxious to try waxing at a spa that I'd never visited. I had such a wonderful experience during my first appointment. My esthetician, Rory Exton, was kind, genuine, and welcoming and put my mind at ease, especially after I detailed my past not-so-great waxing experience at a different facility. Throughout my appointment, she led me through the process and gave me tips and tricks for lessening pain (which worked) and for aftercare. She made me feel right at home and truly safe and the entire staff was just as kind and welcoming as she was. Was so excited to finally treat myself with my second massage ever and the free facial they include as a first month option. (This is not available to transfer to other locations nor a massage...I would have done so in a heartbeat if could do either as this location is 45 min from me. Additionally, one of the women also said that it was really on my injector to have told me about this specifically a couple times...I agree communication is a virtue...why are we assigning blame everywhere else lol. They did offer to reschedule but this was a pre-busy season gift, far away from me, and I actually cannot deal with this location again lol. There were moments where I was in so much pain I almost tapped out. The other employees from the guest relations to the nail artists and other massage therapists were top notch. The atmosphere is a little underwhelming as you have to walk through a gym to get there and the spa is quite small but it was worth the skill and customer service that all but one employee offered! The most recent time, she even asked to see my nails and proceeded to criticize them - calling them uneven, and telling me she would teach me how to be picky. It was highly unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. The irony is, my pedicure was even more 'uneven' than my nails - and they chipped within the week. Even after I had made it clear I was not there to receive a manicure, they tried to upsell my pedicure multiple times. It seems that no matter how much money you plan to spend here, it's never enough.

I get massages to help prevent and deal with migraines, and this smell was so strong I fear it'll trigger a migraine instead. I had to wait outside in the 90° heat instead of the waiting room. I asked and the receptionist said it was a diffuser...it didn't smell like any natural essential oils I've ever smelled and they'd probably be better off not using a scent in the common area. If they must, I would go with one that's more calming and universal like lavender.
