HORRIBLE STAFF. WILL NOT RETURN. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I had an appointment at 9am with Elena for a chemical peel. Due to construction on Cary Street, I arrived 9 minutes late. I could have called, but the spa opened at 9am, and I didn't want to make a phone call in the car knowing I will be there soon. When I tried to check in, the front desk associate Kirstan Fournier berated me for being late. She said that I was unacceptably late, that Elena has a full day ahead, and that she doesn't know if Elena can accommodate me so they would have to take a no-show fee (which is my deposit). I was very apologetic and said I understood if I needed to reschedule. At this point, Elena came out and said that she could fit me in, but instead of trusting the Master Aesthetician's judgment, Kirstan said, "We will see what Elena can do, it is stated in your clauses that there is a no show fee and you obviously can't read or be on time." The reason why I was very upset is primarily because of the "you obviously can't read" comment. As an Asian woman, this sentence felt distinctly racially motivated. I sat in the spa treatment feeling humiliated and agitated. I reached out to management a few hours later, and the manager Maya told me "I'm sorry you misunderstood what Kirstan had said, we are not a business that allow discrimination." So it is the whole i'm sorry you feel this way, but it's your fault for not understanding correctly, our staff didn't do anything wrong, it's all on you for mishearing and misunderstanding. When I asked for a logical explanation i.e. would you (other staff) remember something was not said to you but just as a surrounding conversation half a day ago? She had no answer for me. I am very disappointing in lack of responsibility the manager & staff are taking. All I wanted was an apology and they told me I imagined the whole thing. TEXTBOOK GASLIGHTING. This is even more disturbing than the previous incident. The business is not willing to take responsibility but rather denies all wrong doings. read more

I was looking for an aesthetics salon in Richmond because it was getting harder to book an appointment at Richmond Dermatology. Spa Three Ten had openings and was able to book a Botox appointment that day! The salon did not have a medical office aura about it, which made it much more relaxing. I have seen Margaret both times for my appointment and she is very personable, knowledgeable, and makes sure she fully understands the results you would like. The salon does apply and accrue Alle points which makes checking out a little less painful! Botox per unit pricing is right on par with other salons in the area and there is plenty of parking in the back, if the lot in front is full. I will be returning! read more

I've come here a handful of times now for Botox injections and have been so impressed with the service and experience. I started off seeing Joann and, most recently when she was unavailable, saw Leslie. Both ladies were incredibly warm and friendly and made me feel at ease, start to finish. I will readily admit that I am particular. I LOVE Betsy and LeAnn. They are both real and focus on what you want. After moving to Richmond I had a hard time finding someone who truly embraced an approach to skincare that was all about effectiveness with an end goal in mind. If you want an esthetician who is about results, Betsy is your woman. I had my first foray into Botox with LeAnn about a week ago. I am recommending her to all of my friends who are considering Botox. She gets it, it's about what you want. My conversation with LeAnn was total candor and zero pressure. I readily shared with Leann my fears - she addressed every single one. LeAnn 100% understood the what I wanted and as a newbie she was crystal clear that it was totally my choice on the what if anything I should do. This is strictly for their eyelash perms only! I'm usually not one to complain, but I went in here for an eyelash perm and can say i will not return. My eyelashes turned out pretty bad. 1. Only the lashes in the middle of my eyelid are pretty permed 2. she failed to even attempt to get my inner eyelashes onto the roller 3. the outer ends are permed but not even with the ones in the middle. 4. She ended up "perming" my bottom lashes and now they are either kinked, stuck to my face, or completely horizontal. So basically I definitely do not recommend going here for eyelash services. I've gotten them done at other places that are out of town before and will definitely wait to go to those places. read more

This review is only for their eyelash perms. I went in and got my eyelashes permed and it wasn't a bad experience. The woman who did them was very nice and the spa is clean and accommodating. I was not impressed with how my lashes turned out. One eye was permed much higher than the other and the middle portion of my lashes stuck out higher than the rest. Somehow my bottom lashes were also permed or got the solution on them because when I left they were going on all different directions. I ended up having to curl my lashes everyday to make them even. I was told the lashes would last around 6 weeks depending on your lashes but it's two weeks out and my lashes are back to normal. This is the first time I have had my lashes permed so maybe it is just my eyelashes, but I feel like they were suppose to turn out better than this. read more

The problems with this spa began before I even stepped foot in the door. I went to SPA 310 because I had a Groupon for laser hair removal. I purchased the more expensive package for a full brazillian instead of just a bikini. When I called to make an appointment she could not take me for several weeks, which was frustrating but understandable. During the call I specifically asked if I needed to do anything in preparation for the laser treatment (I.E. grow my hair out to a certain length, trim, shave etc). The receptionist told me to grow my hair out, so for the several weeks before my appointment I went all natural (against my preference) because I thought I had to. My first appointment started well enough. The salon was pretty and inviting and I felt as comfortable as one can be when they are about to get their undercarriage lasered. That all changed when I found out that instead of growing my hair out, I was actually supposed to shave prior to treatment. So before we could even get started Daniella had to shave me (how mortifying!) After the treatment, Daniella sold me a fancy bottle of "numbing spray" to ease my pain for the next treatment for $30. Upon closer examination I discovered it was just lidocaine that I could have bought at CVS for $5. This was the first of many upsells Daniella and her staff pressured me with. Two appointments later I told her I thought she had missed a few spots because the hair had not thinned out there as it had in other places. She seemed angry that I would question her process and when I asked her if she could laser the area just a few centimeters above the treatment area (which is impossible to shave and too sensitive to Nair) she refused, saying the treatment only covered a very specific area. The extra spot would have taken literally 10 seconds to do and would have made a huge difference to me. I would have even paid extra if she offered but she refused so abrasively and absolutely that I dropped the issue. A few appointments later she had a new hair stylist in the salon that she talked about all during my lasering. As I was headed out she commented that my hair could use a trim and while I agreed, I wasn't sold on the idea. She kept pushing it, and her new stylist, and made me feel so pressured that I agreed to the haircut. She never mentioned price and when I was finished the cut looked fine but the $60 price tag was a shock. Not to mention during the haircut the stylist kept insisting I come back for a keratin treatment and regular haircuts with her (I guess upselling is a requirement for working at this salon). I finished my 6 treatment cycles and I still had significant hair regrowth so I inquired about additional treatments. Daniella made a big point about giving me a "discount" on single touch-up treatments. But when it came to booking another appointment the price was $130 a pop. I said no thank you. 6 months later, 75% of the hair growth is back and I wasted a big chunk of my time and money. If you like half-assed (pun intended) treatments and feeling pressured to make additional purchases, this is the salon for you. Otherwise, I'd suggest getting your business taken care of elsewhere. read more

This review is only for the lash perm and lash tint. Getting my lashes permed was a new experience, and for the price I was willing to get them done. The salon is very nice. The front area is well lit and decorated. Erika met me at the front desk, offered me a glass of water, and forms to fill out. Once finished she brought me back to the spa side of the building. When we were in the room she told me the process of curling my lashes-8-10 minutes of lash perm, 8-10 minutes of a neutralizer and then 8-10 minutes to apply the tint. Glue is applied to both the upper and lower lids, then a cotton piece is glued on (I didn't see how this looks). This part took quite awhile. The lash perm itself smells like dirty beach water, but is not irritating, or abrasive to the nostrils. The process itself is relaxing, I found myself dozing off during the 40 minute procedure. When it was time to 'wake up' and have my lashes rinsed (or wiped off), my eyes stung quite bad. Erika said this was from the perm and graciously kept rinsing my eyes with cool water. When we were finished, my lashes were curled and dark! Erika explained to not wash my face for 24 hours, cool, no problem. She said in about 6 weeks I'd need a follow-up, cool, scheduled before I left. Here's my issue-I wore glasses to this appointment, my eyes were a bit red afterwards and it wasn't until I got home that I noticed there was quite a bit of glue on my eyelids. It looked like I had cried and gotten black mascara smeared all over my eyes. I didn't want to touch my lashes or eyelids because I didn't know if it would irritate them more, and figured it would loosen up over the next day or so. 30 hours later I washed my face *gently* in the shower. The rest of the day and the following 2 days, I literally used tweezers to peel off the lash glue stuck on my upper lid and from the ends of my lashes. In the process, 5 of my lashes came out, even though I was gently pulling them from the glue stuck to them. I've noticed my inner and outer lashes are not curled. Overall, they looked lifted, but not the entire lash line. It's been 4 days now and my tint is also quite faded, my lash ends are light enough that it's a noticeable difference. I've had my lashes permed before and this was not how they ended up. That said, this is a process I would try again at a different location. read more

I swear/live by this salon. It started when I was sent to Meriel for a haircut on a recommendation and fell in love. She always is careful to understand what I want, although I generally want the same hairstyle and does a fantastic job. I also had her color my hair, a jet black with blue undertones that many a stylist has screwed up to a lighter black or one that doesn't work properly on my already dark hair but she did an incredible job to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. I then started going to Karen for massages, and she does such an amazing job and is always so accommodating. She's always accommodated my schedule when possible and been very attentive to any issues I was having. She also has easily changed styles of massage depending on what I needed. I have been to many masseuses in Richmond looking for the perfect one and although I have been to others I always return to Karen. Kathleen also does my eyebrows and she is fantastic. She does a careful job of cleaning them up and ensuring they are the style I want. I have also gone to her for a midday appointment where I had to return for a last minute meeting and while I was fussing over my red face she quickly touched up the makeup above my eyebrows and sent me back looking great. Things like this ensure I'll return to Spa310 for any service I need. read more

I tried out quite a few salons in Richmond, and most of them disappointed me with uneven cuts and a general lack of creativity and style. I decided to try Jamie at Spa 310 on the recommendation of a family member who always has great hair, and it was a great decision! He is a color genius. I have been both blond and copper red with him, and he always gives it great dimensionality and vibrancy. He also does a great job with the cuts. Short or long, he makes it look good with my face shape, and it grows out very well, so even if I can't make it in for a few months it still looks good. read more

She is so lovely; very smart, very professional, friendly, and realistic. My skin has changed over the past ten years, as everyone's does, and she had adjusted the treatments accordingly. She keeps up with industry trends, is well-trained, and respected among her colleagues. I'm also very happy with the service list and prices at this spa. The feel of the place is relaxed and cool, with great products to choose from should you decide to purchase something. I would NOT recommend Jamie Lewis at all. After a consultaion, he still pretty much did whatever he wanted.Naturally curly girls, stay far far away! He has no idea what he is doing. But what is worse, he thinks he is cream of the crop and that couldnt be farther from the truth. My hair was way heavier on the top and super thin at the bottom. Whats worse is that I had a tail.. there was this layer in the back that was way longer than layers in the front. Worse haircut EVER. I could go to a chain salon and get much better results. It will take months to grow this out. step away and dont make an appointment with Jamie Lewis! read more

I've only come here for the skin care treatment so I can't speak on the hair salon but I am impressed with the customer service here and the skin care professional that I've seen. This salon is in Carytown so when I first drove there I was already thinking "where am i going to park" but they have a small parking lot in front of their shop which was convenient. I was greeted when i walked in and was asked it I would like a beverage. I asked for coffee and they brought me out some in a real cup, not a Styrofoam cup. I had a some information for fill out on my first visit but I was seen very quickly. We had a talk (consult) before she started and she asked me what I wanted to get out of the session and when I told her, she suggested another treatment (less expensive than my initial request so I know she wasn't in to make a dollar). She was very nice, seemed excited about her job and it seemed as though she loved her job which is always good. I came here off of a referral from a friend and i'm glad I did. When I find a good beautician/nail salon/skin care professional I stick with them and I'm pretty sure I will be a loyal customer here. read more

I was referred by my daughter and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. I made an appt with Allison and went from purple highlights to their unique custom platinum blonde, for a different look into summer and it came out amazing! Allison was awesome in every aspect, she had a pleasant attitude, was very detailed with each step of the process, she devoted her undivided attention to me my entire visit which took over four hours. There were no distractions, no phone calls and no breaks to do any other things. She listened to my wants/needs intently and made me feel extremely comfortable as well as, took her time and explained everything she was doing throughout my visit. I am a massage therapist on vacation and decided last minute to get a massage. I walked in to Spa310 with no appointment. I was greeted cheerfully by the spa coordinator who deferred to the massage therapist standing right there when I asked if there was an immediate opening. Karen was enthusiastic about accepting the last minute walk in appointment. I opted for a 90-minute Swedish massage. After a brief intake conversation, Karen gave me a general overview of how our appointment would go. I was not prepared for just how good Karen would be. It was more than just rubbing in the area of my discomfort. She wasn't just on it, she ON IT. She knew exactly what she was doing. She manipulated the muscles in several different ways. She expertly and deftly released tight muscles and opened up joints. This all was accomplished while still maintaining a spa-like relaxing atmosphere (as opposed to feeling like I was at a medical appointment). I receive regular massage therapy back home, so I know the health maintenance benefits. I also felt "pampered". Karen definitely takes her career seriously, but she was also laid back and fun. She'll be my go-to massage therapist when I'm in the Richmond area. The prices seem a little high ($150 for 90 minutes) but I'll pay it again, without reserve, to know I'm getting a top quality massage wrapped up in a relaxing spa experience. read more

Just as an aside, I have never written a review on anything on here or anywhere else before -- I actually created this account solely to write this review. I have gotten my lashes tinted here a number of times, and it always is flawless, and the price is really affordable -- Brynne is the best! I usually get my hair done at YY Salon on Main -- I have gone there for like over 8 years, and Nick is a hair magician -- seriously, he is an artist. I saw a LivingSocial for keratin at Spa310 a few months ago, and so I figured I would try it. I had the keratin at Spa310 done recently, and it was one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had. I think I lost about 1/4 the amount of hair I started with because she pulled so much of it out when brushing it. Also, rule of thumb: you don't comb through someone's hair with your fingers while wearing latex gloves. My scalp hurt to the touch. She also burned the back of my neck with the flat iron, and then proceded to say, "Oh, sorry... I should've warned you." ... that you were going to burn me? I was aware the flat iron was happening, but not that you were going to touch my neck with it. The girl was very young, and it showed. I've had keratin done a number of times before at other salons, and it's been wonderful. Her inexperience and inability to decipher when her client clearly was in pain was unbelievable. If that wasn't all enough, when I was leaving, even though the girl working the register was aware I had purchased the deal through LivingSocial, and even after she had written down my voucher number, she proceded to then charge my card the full amount -- if I hadn't asked if she'd just charged my debit card the full amount, I would've only found out after looking at my bank statement. She had no idea what was going on or what she was doing, and we had to perform the transaction three different times. I will never, ever get anything done to my hair there again; it was so miserable. read more

I got a Signature Facial and brow wax from Brynne in preparation for my wedding. I live in an area with a much higher cost of living compared to Richmond, and for the facial's $85 price tag, I thought it felt more like a $120+ spa experience. The facial includes dermaplaning (removing the topmost layer of skin), which is something I had never done before and would love to do again. My skin has never looked or felt this great, and I wish I had the expendable income to get facials regularly. She worked in the brow wax in the middle of the facial, which was really convenient. Brynne is a genuine sweetheart, and she made me feel really comfortable and like she cared about my experience. Another bonus was that, like me, Brynne is blond/fair skinned, so she understood and could personally relate to my sensitive skin issues. In sum, best facial ever, and good bang for your buck. read more
