I've gone to this place twice. The first time I left with cuts around my cuticles and my fingertips. The second time the employees were rude, and when they asked if we wanted anything to drink they asked a friend who was with my group to get the drinks for us. I also had multiple cuts on my fingers and I actually had to get one gel nail removed because there was a cut so bad on my nail that the gel was impeding on the cut healing. I do NOT recommend this place, there are much better nail places in Plano with lower prices as well. read more

I had the most HORRIBLE experience today! I am not a frequent Yelp reviewer but they need to reap this one. One of the employees put his hands on me and grabbed me and pulled me across the floor to another chair so he can rush me out of his chair and get someone else in. I was embarrassed and horrified. He drug me like a DOG even when I jerked away. I am a small woman and I felt harassed! Then the manager tried to tell me it was a misunderstanding and that she would not accommodate me after experiencing that. She repeated, "I don't know what you want me to do." I have reported this business to the Better Business Bureau and will be back to receive a refund. Absolutely horrific, inappropriate, and ridiculous. They should be out of business. read more

I frequent this spa for nail and/or pedicures. They are always so kind and upbeat. They have not once tried to pressure me into buying something I do not want. But then again I actually read the entire description before purchasing anything (which I think Orlando J clearly did not) I was there when you ordered what you wanted and I was there when you left. You are whats wrong with this world. Made a complete A** of yourself. Your review is absurd , especially coming from an individual who was clearly out to receive something for free. (he's crying because he didn't get extra 20 min massage for free y'all). Aside from that you threatened the manager, please for the rest of us who are respectful human beings, don't come back. Be aware of this place!!! I've lived in Plano for 10 years and I was grateful to see a nail salon open right next to my home. A year ago, I moved 10 minutes away and would still drive all the way to A Nail Bar to get my nails done. My family and I have been loyal customers ever since it opened but after today, I will never go back. This afternoon, my two sisters and I went over there to get our nails done and everything went well up until some nail polish was found on my sisters Gucci wallet. After informing the tech and the manager, they very quickly gave us an alcohol swab to try and wipe off the nail polish and when that didn't work, they called the owner and he said he would purchase the wallet and pay the total amount she paid. Next thing you know, after emptying out her wallet, the owner backtracks and says he wants to review the security footage. Then he never gets back to anyone and stops answering her calls. He leaves it to the manager to deal with. The manager starts yelling and says she's not going to pay $430 and eventually proceeds to underhandedly call my sister a liar, saying that the nail polish was there before she came into the salon. We asked to see the security footage and they refused. Eventually saying they would show it to us if we call the cops, which we ended up doing. When the cops came, they still refused to show us the footage. Cops recommended to file with the Better Business Bureau which we will be doing immediately! After the way they treated us and the way they approached the situation, I only wish I could give them 0 stars! read more

They clip my toe nails and run water on my feet for 15 mins ... and said they are done I need to pay more this is there basic service! The manger was allowing this to take place. I live out of the country so I don't live in Plano, I live in Shanghai. But I visit family twice a year. The salon is about 2 blocks away from our brothers home so I like to walk here. Usually I get my nails done here the following morning when I arrive and then again the day before I leave. I've come here a few times now. And I used to have only good things to say about this salon. All the staff is super sweet and friendly. And they do really good work. But in this past year they have changed management. And the new manager, don't know her name but you will recognize her. She will not greet you with a smile...she is the rudest person I have ever met. I almost felt like she was doing me this huge favor for allowing me to enter. Used to be a great smiley face upon entering very welcoming. But now OMG!! It is the most uncomfortable feeling to arrive. I asked her about a color and first thing she said was they don't have names for their colors. Which by the way they do. She just didn't want to bother in helping... oh and if you're thinking that maybe they were super busy, but they weren't. I went there during the week and they had just opened. Sad to say that I will probably be returning but it will only be because of the convenience that it is so close. This is such a nice nail salon. It was very clean and comfortable. I was offered a drink when I got there, and they have a million color choices. I had a hard time deciding. Cathy and Cindy did my NexGen nails and pedicure. They were so friendly and fun to talk to. I didn't feel at all rushed to get in and out, and they took their time to ensure they did a great job. I am sorry that others had bad experiences, but I did notice that the other reviews were quite awhile ago. I began coming to A Nail Bar about a year ago and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I think everyone who works there has done either my manicure or pedicure at one time or another. Without exception they have been friendly, professional, and competent!! Their prices are competitive with other area salons, they have never tried to hard sell me a product, and are always checking to make sure that I am satisfied. I have been in there when CUSTOMERS were rude, but never the staff. I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years and nicks happen sometimes, but honestly that has happened here very infrequently...that's one of my favorite things about this salon...they are so careful! seriously best pedi I have ever had! The sweet lady spent so much time on each toe nail till everything was perfect - from trimming, to the cuticles, to dead skin - she was thorough!!! They look great and it felt great. Definitely upgrade to the organic pedi because you get a nice massage with it - worth every penny! I ended up getting a nexgen mani too - first time to use this product and my nails look great. They have only been open around 6 weeks but they already have regulars as they had memorized clients names as they walked in. The owner made a point to get my name at the end while I checked out and I am sure he would try hard to remember it when I come back.
