I literally just got home after spending over 2 hours looking at beads, charms, crystals, gems, stones, findings, cord, and more. Beads Beads is by far the best bead store in Orange County. The selection is huge, (and includes a nice selection of half off sale beads), the prices beat every other bead store I've been to, (which is a lot), and the staff (Wendy and Rosie) are beyond friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The amount and variety of inventory this little store has is amazing. There are all kinds of beads including crystal and silver, chains, clasps, etc and the tools to go with them. I was looking for a professional way to attach clasps to a corded necklace and the owner (I assume) showed me the clasp and demonstrated how to use the pliers to attach it. I really appreciated the individual attention to my questions and the help finding what I needed. While I was there they answered questions from other customers as well. I have shopped here several times and have always had a great experience. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and will readily help you find the beads, findings, etc that you need. Though the store is a bit small it is packed with an incredible selection of seed beads, charms, and tools. There are even books and classes available if you want to take your knowledge to the next level. There is always someone else shopping there which speaks as to why this small store is still in business despite online competitors. Great store! It is wise to come here with a firm plan because there are so many fun beads here you'll end up planning another project around these, and another project around those, and if you don't know what I mean you haven't been to a bead store as good as this one. The prices are good, so at least if you end up "needing" twice as many beads as you came for, it won't be too bad for your wallet. A wonderful store. Although it is tiny, it has a great selection of beads, and the staff is very helpful. Whenever there is something I need for a project, but can't find anywhere else, I go there. My only complaint is that I can't go into the second room of their bead shop. One of the owners keeps their cat there in a cage, and while I appreciate the need to have one's pet close by, it seems sad for a cat to have to stay in a cage all day. In addition, the room either smells so strongly of cat that it makes my allergies act up or so strongly of air freshener that it makes my eyes burn. They should really keep their cat at home; it would be better for the cat and the customers. Recommendation: Definitely go; it's one of the best bead stores in Orange County. They have a great selection of Swarovski Crystals, Seed Beads, metal findings, buttons, Czech dagger beads, and many other kinds of quirky and fun beads. But make your visits to the cat room brief. read more

I've always wanted to stop in this place since I was younger and finally had a chance to today. They have a very wide selection of beads, including some very unique options. When I couldn't find any hardware on the floor (clasps, chains, etc) the lady at the counter was very helpful and showed me the options they kept behind the counter. Unfortunately, they didn't have the chain or keyrings i wanted, but i did get some nice gunmetal lobster clasps and they were very reasonably priced. I will definitely stop by again when I need any beads for any upcoming projects. read more

I know they have to pay rent some how and in this economy with all the big box stores I'm sure its hard for a bead shop to keep up, but some items I was able to get at Michael's for literally 50% of what Beads Beads is selling them for. If you have a project you're stuck on, they will help you. Go to Lately and you've gone too far. I've always been treated with kindness. For me personally a couple things come dear but I have a strick income. Most people will probably think the prices are great. You never leave disappointed. Absolutely adore this place. The ladies here are always super helpful and walk you through the process if needed. Rosie taught me about crimpers and how to finish off a wire bracelet. Vicki is always super nice and goes around the shop with you, helping you decide what looks better. I recently discovered they have crystal pendants, that are super affordable. The vibe when you walk in is so much different than when I shop at Michael's. Hopefully my jewelry making takes off so I can support this small business even more. read more

This shop is a little gem of a store! They have an incredible selection of different beads, chains and trinkets you can get lost looking at them all. It's a tiny place, but dynamite comes in small packages, lol! Wendy is fabulous! She's charming, fun to talk to and incredibly helpful, Both times I've gone to her store for help and not only did she help me with my selection, but she put it altogether and didn't even charge me to assemble everything!! Truthfully, the prices here are more compared to other places. Was looking for Miyuki seed beads (not delicas), I think they are all pretty much delicas, not much twist bugles 12mm either (also what I was looking for). Swarovski crystal was pretty pricey here (15$ for 144pcs-you can mix and match with plain, AB, AB2X as long as it's the same size), not worth it to be honest (average plain 144pc is ~8-10$, ABX2 ~14-15$) as there's another place down the street (Beads U Need) that's much more down to earth price for Swarovski--still cost more than online of course. Also the store was hard to find because the sign was only on ONE side, if you're coming right lane( when the store is on the right and you can turn straight to it) has NO sign, it's an empty board. If you're coming from the opposite side (the store would be located on the left if this is the case), the sign is there. It's basically right behind Bank of America. read more

Well, as bead stores go, this is certainly the smallest one I have ever set foot in! In fact, I was kinda afraid to enter because the exterior of the store looked more like a run-down shack. I entered, not sure whether I would find anyone else in the store, as the location is also kinda weird and a bit difficult to find. But, to my surprise, there were quite a few number of patrons, so I was put at ease. I hate entering stores where I am the only person there. It makes me feel super awkward! They did have a good variety of beads, but none that I jumped at based on the pricing. What can I say, I'm stingy when it comes to purchasing beads. After all, the entire purpose of me coming here was to find a specific brand of wire, which very few retailers carry, and by golly, I found them! The pricing of the wire was not unreasonable compared to the web distributor, and I had wanted to try it out in person before I put in a huge order online. So, I browsed, then went straight for the wire, and then browsed the half-off rack, and at least came out with one strand of beads! The lady who rang me up was pretty friendly and even questioned whether or not it was a good idea for me to simply throw the items into my purse, but I insisted. =) So, as far as a bead shop goes, this place is not that bad, and it certainly has more variety than any Michaels or Joanns. At least they are open on Sundays for a couple of hours: 12PM - 3PM. read more

A little hard to find, but worth it! It's north of Collins, parking lot right next to the Bank of America parking lot, but set farther back from the road. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice, "deep" stock--I found the 9 or 10 of the charm I needed instead of being frustrated by skimpy/crummy stock at other shops. Organized stock with cool items--might need to ask to see a case. It's not handicapped accessable, and the only way in is this narrow little wooden ramp, barely wide enough for a baby stroller, much less a wheelchair. Very unhappy, as it was a great place. read more
