The tech was great, found the problem in 2 minutes and fixed it. However, there are two issues that led to a downgrade. First, they were supposed to come Tuesday. Never showed, never called. When I finally called, they said tech got held up, will come Wednesday. They should have called. Second, their price was very high, $895 for trouble shooting. Even after a discount because it only took too minutes to fix, $700 is still to high. read more

I scheduled an appointment with this company well in advance and received multiple confirmations leading up to the service date, including communications shortly before the appointment itself. What was most disappointing was not that the appointment had to be rescheduled, but how the situation was handled. The day before the appointment, I spent additional time answering questions and providing information about the home and project. Looking back, it seems clear the company was already experiencing scheduling issues, yet no one communicated that there was a significant risk my appointment would not be honored. On the day of service, I continued receiving updates suggesting there was still a possibility a technician would arrive. As a result, I kept my schedule clear and remained available. Only after the scheduled day had effectively passed was I informed that the appointment would need to be rescheduled. I understand that unexpected delays happen and that service businesses occasionally need to adjust schedules. However, asking customers to reserve an entire day, continuing to engage them in the appointment process, and then canceling at the last minute because the company is "very busy" is not a professional way to manage scheduling. I cannot comment on the quality of the electrical work because no work was ever performed. My experience was limited to the scheduling and communication process, which unfortunately left me feeling that my time was not respected. read more

Hernian Martinez from Beacon Home Services did an amazing job installing a new breaker box in my home. He was prompt, efficient, friendly, courteous and professional. I have an old home that has been remodeled and the wiring is a little wonky and the old breaker box was original to the house (1958) so it was a bit complicated. He was very careful and diligent and made sure everything was done properly and working well and cleaned up even though it took a little longer than expected. Exceptional service. read more

We prefer to use Beacon Home Services for any electrical needs in our house due to how we have been treated with each issue or problem we have faced. The process always starts with ease in contacting them, describing the issue and having a professional electrician coming to address it proficiently. There is total transparency with procedures and costs. read more

It was easy to work with this company, all the way from scheduling with Rebecca, to getting our work order completed with Nathan. They gave us excellent service, fitting us in right away, and letting us know exactly what to expect from our visit. Rebecca was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, pinpointing the scheduling procedure. Nathan was the ultimate professional electrician by promptly diagnosing and immediately repairing our problem. They guaranteed our work for 10 years and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend Beacon for home repairs and would use them again in a heartbeat! read more

Sean and his team did a good job getting my electrical panel upgrade completed. Reasonable price, easily scheduled and completed on time.

Beacon home services did a great job for me. I needed a wired in LED light fixture replacement. Their professional recommended options, had the solution for much less expense than the old installation. read more

Twice, the Beacon canceled my appointment on the day of service. When a tech finally came, I was charged $1,600, but the intermittent power outage in two rooms was never fixed. They sent the same tech back, and the problem returned again. After they canceled a third appointment, I hired another company. The other company quickly identified the real issue and fixed it. Based on my experience, Beacon Electrical is overpriced, failed to resolve the problem, and provided poor customer service. read more

$345 for a breaker reset. Beacon's pricing turned my stomach in knots. My elderly mother recently had her hot water tank replaced, and the plumber tripped a breaker in the process. I called Beacon to check it out. The electrician arrived a day later, probed the water heater momentarily, then unhooked a small tie-clip and flipped the breaker back on. The whole visit lasted maybe eight minutes. When I called the office to pay, the admin told me the "diagnostic and reset" would cost $345.16. Let me be clear that I fully expect to pay professionals for their time. But this wasn't an emergency nor was it same-day service, it was mid-afternoon on a weekday, and the electrical panel was right in the open. No parts need, and no special access required. Even if they billed me for a full hour that's fine, but charging $345 for a basic switch reset feels dishonest and wildly inflated. I'd strongly recommend getting quotes elsewhere before you let them through the door. read more

An appointment is not an appointment. It is more like a "'maybe we'll come if we have time." I've been waiting at home all day for my appointment (confirmed this morning) and now apparently they won't get to me because they're too busy. I'm a busy professional with kids. I can't take off more than one day of work to wait for a plumber. The lady who informed me that they were not going to honor their appointment couldn't care less. She didn't even apologize. Now I used up my LAST personal day of the year and I still have a bathtub full of water. Unfortunately, I have their useless service plan which I regret because I can't get the service I paid for since they don't show up. read more

OUTSTANDING Service!! On Tuesday I had an issue with my 26 year old toilet (original toilet when I had the house built) and a bidet seat I had tried to install. Needed an emergency service as I was getting a leak two days before Thanksgiving. Candis made sure I was first on the call list the next day (today, the day before thanksgiving). And Mary followed through to connect me to Wayne who was simply put - the Superman of plumbers! He quickly diagnosed the problem and strongly recommended that we replace the supply line and braided hose both of which were corroded and failing. In less than an hour, I was up and running with confidence. He also gave me a recommendation on what toilet to buy to replace the old one I have. The professionalism of Wayne and the team at Beacon (Candis and Mary) was fantastic!! I haven't done it yet, but plan on joining there preventive maintenance service of $180 a year. Thanks again "Team Beacon"!! 5+ services read more

Do not use Beacon for plumbing because you'll pay twice. Once at the time of your repair and two years later when their shoddy work breaks down. Beacon came out to check out a leak near our toilet which turned out to be from the valve but the technician removed our toilet entirely before he pulled out his ipad and tried very hard to upsell us to replace everything - including the toilet. What we needed was the valve and a new flushing mechanism. I didn't have great hopes for this repair because the day after the repair, the bran new chain that went from the flapper to the handle snapped. This was in July 2024. May 2026, we notice a leak in our basement under the bathroom above, and it is the toilet. At this point, I am sure it's the wax seal but the leak had been going on for so long that we needed to hire a restoration company to come out and look at it and it resulted in having to have two dryer/blower things running for 5 full days. Thankfully that fixed the wetness and mold issue and we were able to have someone who actually knows plumbing come out and tell us that yep. Its the wax seal and he called the installation of it "shoddy". Please do not use this company. They will not fix their shoddy work (initially I was told the warranty was just for a year but when I pulled up the receipt, it was indeed for two years). I really hope I can discourage people from this company. It was just an awful experience all around and I have no idea how much their shoddy work is now going to end up costing us. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Beacon Home Services. This company charges extremely high prices for even the most basic repairs. I needed a simple leak fixed in my gas water heater--a job that took no more than 10-15 minutes--and the cost was outrageously high. Their customer service was equally frustrating. They were rude, unhelpful, and promised to call me back but never did. The lack of professionalism was obvious at every step. I strongly recommend staying away from this company. Save your money and look for a reputable service provider that values honesty, fair pricing, and respectful communication. read more

Chris did a perfect job moving an outlet on my kitchen island that had been an engineering glitch in my DIY remodel. He also included a better outlet (his idea) that included USB and USB C ports. Technician replaced water supply line & didn't replace the hose connection faucet. Didn't realize until I needed water access for pressure washing. Called Beacon & they said they'd send a technician to "make it right." Technician offered to make it right by offering to reinstall faucet for a special low price of $725. Neighbor came over & installed new faucet in less than an hour for no charge. One star is too generou! read more

Water heater replacement completed efficiently. John and assistant were pleasant and courteous.

I count on Beacon, recently Will and assistant Tyler fixed a mal-functioning wall outlet. I agreed to replace other outlets too as they were worn-aged too. In doing so they found four burn-scarred outlets much to my surprise and left me truly grateful for their work. Replacing worn outlets prevents electric fires caused by electrical arcing, and due to the poor connections and the qual;ity of the outlet. read more

Don't use the plumbing! Called to have Kohler toilet tank plunger repaired. Whole installation is $20. Labor is an hour at $80 so the price is $150, at most. No, they charged $450-BS! Had them out for a quote, technician tried to tell me I needed a new electrical panel for $2000 which I do not at all need, just needed a screw driver and 5 minutes to tighten the breakers, it was boarder line criminal. Additionally he gave me quotes to replace a number of other fixtures that were 2-4 times the cost of multiple other quotes even after the discount he was giving me for paying almost $200 for a yearly subscription service. We asked for an estimate for a 240v outlet, 30' of cable, and new breaker. As soon as the Beacon estimater saw the panel (unopened), he commented it needed replacement, the main breaker was bad, could cause a fire, needed a whole house GFCI, and showed us pictures. Cost: $5-7K! He said there wasn't room for a 240v breaker, until I pointed out 2 of the 120v breakers could be moved; he said yes that "could" be done. He continually pushed panel replacement, provided 3 quotes for the work. We've had solar panels installed and an EV charger (by Beacon!) with no comment about the panel. Beacon provided one estimate for the 240 line we requested at $1500; minimum of 2x what research said it should cost, 4x the cost of other estimates. I sent Beacon an email about our experience, received a suspect AI generated response with no name; sure enough, I asked ChatGPT to prepare a response to what I sent Beacon, got back almost word-for-word what Beacon sent. Apparently Beacon doesn't care about anything except how much money than can get from a customer! read more

I have now discovered that the rep from Beacon whom I referenced as being condescending in my original review (because I didn't know all the technical water heater terms he was using) installed the supply and return pipes on the new water heater BACKWARDS which is impacting my HVAC heating (as it is a heat pump) .... I am awaiting a call back from Beacon Management to resolve this and will provide a more detailed and updated review based on how they resolve this. read more

I had a couple of toilets that were ghost flushing. A simple enough problem to correct, and I could've done it myself, but I made the choice to pay to have it done, and for the security it would be done right. I was shocked at the price (nearly $400, though he gave me a bit of a discount). I had thought $150 would be more than fair for such a simple job. Anyway, I didn't want the hassle, so I paid it. However, the very next day, the ghost flushing in one of the toilets was even worse than before, flushing (leaking) at least 20-25 times a day. I didn't mind. I knew they would likely guarantee their work. The plumber came by, but surprise, surprise.... not only did he not guarantee the work he'd done, he admonished me for taking the easy, cheaper solution (a bandaid approach as he termed it), and told me how much more it would cost to actually fix it right. It is true I'd opted for the least expensive option (it was still twice what I'd guessed it would be), but if it wasn't going to fix the problem, why did he proceed? If he had said he couldn't guarantee it would fix it, then I would have declined his services and got someone more responsible to deal with. And today? Yep. Still listening to the toilet flushing by itself a couple dozen times a day. read more

I just requested an estimate. Beacon Home Services sent several text messages to ensure I would confirm my upcoming appointment, which I responded to each text with confirmation. I received a text that read a technician was running late; therefore, I was rescheduled for a few hours later that day. Then I got a text telling me someone was on the way. Finally, they sent a text saying Beacon Home Service was unable to contact me and the appointment would have to be rescheduled for another day. I called the company to inquirer as to why they cancelled my appointment. I was told they called and left a message at two different times. I explained that I did not have any missed calls or messages. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told Courtney Godfrey was to busy to take my call. However, she made enough time to call a technician to come to my house. When the electrician arrived, he asked me what size breaker and line I wanted for the installation. I told him that I would have to ask an electrician. I asked again to speak with a manager. The company told me Courtney Godfrey would call me the next day. She did not call. This was a honorable experience and I lost a days work. read more

We are the newest fans of Beacon Home Services! The business came well-recommended to us, and we received prompt attention and availability when we called. Seth came out to estimate both an installation and repair, gave us several different options, and was polite and patient when we discovered I'd ordered the wrong ceiling fixture. Amy was quick to rebook our job when the new part came in, and Seth returned to work removing an old ceiling fan and installing a new one. He was efficient, personable, and very professional, and was very neat at all times. He then replaced a fixture in our crawl space, so we are now good to go for awhile! I have been a customer since 2019 and a Lighthouse Club member since 2022. From my first visit, when electrician Andre found a wiring problem in my house that could have caused a fire, to my most recent request, when plumber Cesar greeted my dog, who loves him, like an old friend, I am always pleased with Beacon technicians' work. Not great. Had an appointment cancelled. Moved to another date, then they barely showed up within the window. I asked for quotes for 2 relatively simple jobs. I asked for a quote for one job and and a quote for the combined work. The service guy came back 45min later with a quote to redo our all our kitchen plumbing and many things we didn't request for- $4K....WHAT!? Just give me a quote for what I asked for.... Finally talked him to a reasonable price for the most simple job. Gave me some bs about needing to get it approved but said he would come back the next morning between 7-8. Completely ghosted. He never called or showed. This place is unprofessional and unreliable. AVOID read more

Complete waste of my time. When they arrived I showed them the two items that I had requested. Then I asked about other items to be added While we were walking around I asked the estimate to be separated by room so that I could choose to not do certain items So they started counting fixtures (by acting busy they didn't need to reply to my request) They briefly showed me the estimate on a tablet which was 20k - I didn't notice that the line items didn't have pricing. When I received the bid in my email, only the bottom line had a price Waste of my time and theirs. One more sales tactic. I received a phone call immediately after they left asking for a review. I stupidly gave them a good review! The company understands I want a breakdown but "there system doesn't allow it". Unreliable company. I called Beacon Home Services upon discovering my recently installed water softener can only be serviced by them or F.H. Furr. They are the only two local companies contracted with the manufacturer to service my brand (NOVO). As Furr had installed it the year before, but then incorrectly advised me to remove my Acid Neutralizer (which they did, then later advised I actually needed one), so I gave Beacon a chance. Beacon made a whole day appointment. Two guys showed up at 9:30 and spent 5 hours (not exaggerating) testing my water and speaking with a NOVO representative. In the end, they recommended changing nothing with regard to the softener, but advised I needed an Acid Neutralizer. The rep said he was having difficulty with their system providing an estimate to install a Neutralizer and would email it to me by the following day. A week later I had not received it and called them. The receptionist said she'd check into it and let me know. Another week passed so I called again and was told the same thing. Another week has now passed and still nothing. My experience (and other reviews found here) tell me a beginning like this is a good glimpse into how the company operates so I won't be calling again. P.S. their plumber did create an estimate to replace an unrelated drain line for $1,150, but failed to email it. The receptionist sent it to me upon my first call. read more

I purchased a residential load calculation to consider adding an EV charger. It took three calls over a week before I finally got the worksheet, and it was filled out for the wrong county. Here's the good - they were extremely responsive and communicated very well when scheduling the appointment. Electricians arrived on time and were nice enough. The bad - they wanted to charge me just shy of $1200 to replace two ceiling light fixtures (essentially pendant lights). No repairs needed just changing them out. Neither fixture was heavy nor did they have crystals, etc. $1200 for a job that would take maybe 30 min. When I was hesitant to move forward they called their office and got me a 15% discount. So still over $1000. Insane. My husband was working upstairs through all of this. Can't help to think that I may have gotten price gouged because I am a woman. Either way, hard pass. Found another place to do an install for less than half of what they quoted me. read more

Absolutely horrendous plumbing service! I recently had the displeasure of hiring Beacon Electric And Plumbing, and it was a complete nightmare from start to finish. Let me share the horrifying details of my experience, which I hope will serve as a warning to others. To begin with, I had made a reservation for the plumber's first visit, only to be left waiting in vain. Beacon Electric And Plumbing had the audacity to cancel at the last minute, leaving me in a lurch. This blatant disregard for punctuality and common courtesy set the tone for the rest of the ordeal. When the plumber finally arrived for the second visit, it became abundantly clear things were not going well. He arrived around 9am, said he would be in 10 minutes and wandered in an hour later. I had a tiny leak in a pipe, a problem that should have been easily fixable. However, instead of addressing the actual issue, this plumber inexplicably decided that my three-year-old water heater needed to be moved a mere three inches. What followed was a disaster of epic proportions. After touring the house, the plumber decided he needed a break from his few minutes of walking around and said he would be back in an hour and left. Some hours later he returned. He was also very fond of long telephone conversations. After the plumber moved the water heater, he made a swift exit without bothering to check their work. It wasn't until they were long gone that I discovered my basement was flooding. I spent the entire previous evening worried about a tiny pin leak now in desperation to contain the water, resorting to placing buckets every 30 minutes to prevent further damage. When I called the plumber for assistance, their brilliant advice was to hit the new water valve with a hammer. Unbelievable! Despite their supposed fix, the leaking returned, and by 10:30 pm, I was pulling up rugs and furniture and turning off the water in the house. Turning on the water heater caused an immediate flood in the basement, a problem I had never experienced before the plumber's ill-advised meddling. The timing of this catastrophe makes it hard to believe it was a mere coincidence. It seems clear that the plumber's reckless actions were the cause of this new, devastating problem. As a result of this dreadful experience, as a heart failure patient I was forced to pull up carpets, move all my belongings away from the flooding, and endure an immense amount of stress and inconvenience. To add insult to injury, the plumber had the nerve to assure me that they would fix the problem but failed to follow through. In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how utterly disastrous this plumber's service was. Their incompetence, lack of professionalism, and disregard for the well-being of their customers is appalling. I implore anyone in need of plumbing services to steer clear of Beacon Electric And Plumbing, lest they find themselves in a similar nightmare. Worst plumbing service ever read more
