Well, where should I start.. This is our 3 trip here and for sure our final. You pike to think your first bad experience was a bad day from staff, but 2nd time wasn't great, and we said 1 more try... we'll we are done. 1st trip- june 2023, we camped in our 5th wheel. And had a baby pen up, and we were told to take it down even though our son was just starting to learn, so it was for his safety. Same trip the sewer field across from us smelled so bad all week we were there. In the last 2 days, they had someone check it out and said they will be fixing it. Then we wanted to go to the pool. Got to the pool, and we had the whole pool to ourselves, and we had an hr before closing. The life guard comes up to us and says I'm closing early tonight cause no one is here, but you guys. Tell that to a 2 year old. Very upsetting. They charge you an arm and a leg for people to visit you. It's per person in the vehicle and vehicle is additional price. 2nd trip- Oct 2023 we stayed at the cabin. My parents came to visit. Paid the arm and a leg price, and when they wanted to leave by 9 pm, no one was at the gate to let them out. We asked if we qualified for a first responder discount, which they avertised, and they said that was a different season. Oh ok that's really nice. We volunteer to save lives and put ours at risk, and you can't do something nice for first responders because we are not there at a certain season. You're sleeping on a piece of plywood with a tarp on it that's how uncomfortable the cabin beds are. The sink in the bathroom is size of a small fish bowl. No shower. Very moldy and stinky smelling. 3rd trip- June 2024 prices to stay here are insane. Nothing is affordable for families. I can see why it was so empty and no one was on our side of the road but two other families.. what a shocked difference. I took my 3 year old to the park... the slides are all peeling of paint. Looks like they haven't updated anything new at the playground. Everything looks so dirty, old and unkempt. Every piece of play equipment could have used a paint job, but guess they would rather take the money rather than use it for good. We stayed at the cabin again. Again same as Oct 2023 2 chairs in your cabin even though you had more in your family. An outdoor picnic table and no table inside the cabin for you to make meals or eat at. Thsinis fine when you want to eat when it's warm but when it's cold who wants to eat at an outdoor picnic table. So no table inside for you, 2 plastic cheap chairs, small fish bowl sink which the water doesn't run unless you constantly are holding it.. so try washing your hands when your 1 hand has to hold the water lever down. The beds are plywood with tarp on it when you sleep on them. 3 nights and we couldn't wait to get home. Our trip was suppose to be a week but this place is ridiculous from the amenities to the service to the place you spend a ton of money for. Check in at 4 pm is ridiculous. You pay for a full day but can only come in at 4 so your day is practically over. By the time you finish setting up the pool closes at 6 which is another issue. It's summer and your closing the pool at 6pm? Who does that. Then you don't open the pool till 11 am.. Why are there bright street lights when we are camping. There are street lights on the cabin side, not the seasonal folks... you trying to sleep, but you got the damn street light shining through the blinds. We are done and told numerous families to save their money, and we will check out the couple of other camping places nearby. This place went downhill. Only people who are here are really the baby boomers. Once they are done and gone, I doubt you'll get younger families to wanna be seasonal. Good luck making it cause you rocking your prices so high is gonna chase a lot more people. We could tell just from our street no one on it and it's the middle of June. It was very sad looking. No excitement, no activities for kids. Other than outdated rusty peeling playground. And the pool, which hours suck! And finally... nonone told you about having to need quarters to take a shower... that was the tipping point for us to never come back! How low can you people get. You get over 1k dollars from us in 3 days, and you can't offer people a free shower or a table in the cabin to eat on. Shame on you all. No one you are advertising 20 dollars off your next stay if you.... etc or get a discount for extending your stay. That there says your hurting. We will never be back! read more

I purchased a beautiful park model house in beachcomber in the summer of 2016. We were there for only a few weeks and the immediate harassment started. A security guard by the name of Dennis accused me of speeding on a golf cart. Which lead to him following me and harassing me for a good 15 minutes. Which lead to him attempting to rip the keys out of my hand . He called the police and fabricated a story that I had swung on him. He is easily 6.5 300lbs. If I swung I wouldn't of missed!!!. So 3 cops come in like beachcomber swat team and question me about this accusation. Luckily I had everything on video on my phone so I proved my case that he was a lair. Long story short the owners tammy and ken would rather have a security guard that treats there guest like a prisoner rather then a family of 4 staying in a resort. I was giving a ultimatum to sell my house or move it. But we would not be welcome back for the 2017 season. Not that we would want to come back. 9 bucks a guest. 9 bucks for your guest car. Constant scams where they accept cash only and tell the guest it's for a local hospital! Offer a check made out to the hospital. They won't be interested in that ! read more

Horrible service. This prison is so anxious to get their hands on your money that they don't even treat you humanely. We were driving around on a golf cart and security stopped us to see if we all paid to get in or are registered. You can't have more than one car per site but don't worry you can pay for as many as you want. Have a friend in town that wants to say hi? Sure no problem, they just have to pay the 2 night minimum of $20. Oh your kids are one year older now? Be sure to update the contract to charge them as an adult. Your son wants to stop by for the weekend? Just have him register himself and his car for the price of a hotel. Having a party? Too bad, you need to be quiet, and we'll send security just to make sure everyone paid to be there. Oh you registered for the season? What a shame the season doesn't start officially until next weekend so you'll have to pay to get to your trailer. If you're looking for a great prison that you get to pay to be locked into, look no further. But if you're trying to enjoy yourself, look elsewhere read more

We love Beachcomber! We've been going there every year for about 20 years with family. We rent a loft cabin for a week. The cabin is roomy and includes a small microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The campground is clean and kept beautifully. The flowers are AMAZING! The staff is friendly and helpful. The food at the snack shack is good and the ice cream is delicious. Fishing in the main lake is fun, catch and release only. Our family makes sure to spend plenty of time at the main lake and beach, as well as the main pool. There are activities for kids and a very nice playground at the beach. The camp store has just about everything you would need. The bathhouses are kept clean, 4 minute showers for a quarter. Cape May beaches are just 15 minutes away, we prefer The Crest. Best days end with a pretty campfire. If you love the camping life, Beachcomber is for you! read more

Wow, I'm really surprised at these past reviews! I have been camping at Beachcomber for over 10 years (as well as other campgrounds in NJ) and I can honestly say that Beachcomber is BY FAR my favorite. I have always found the owners/workers to be very accommodating and friendly. The entire campground is very well maintained, appealing and CLEAN, including the bathrooms/showers. There are plenty of activities for children. I do think that the rates are a little on the high side (especially the golf cart rentals), but in comparison to other campgrounds, it is still worth it. I will continue to try other campgrounds in NJ for short stays but until I find one as good as, or better than Beachcomber, I will always plan my weekly (+) vacations at Beachcomber! I LOVE it there! My family and I stayed here over Mother's Day Weekend, which happened to be my son's birthday. I can honestly say, we were VERY happy. We rented a cabin for the weekend. For a wilderness cabin, it was very clean. There were great activities going on, like a Mother's Day Brunch, complete with Mimosas! Than, I had told the girls working in activities that it was my son's 8th birthday, and EVERYONE who saw him made sure to wish him a Happy Birthday. It made the weekend very special. What a great, and friendly staff. We were so impressed that I managed to get my sons Cub Scout Pack booked for their Halloween Haunted Hayride weekend October 12-14! The boys are ALL looking forward to camping & being scared! I am looking forward to seeing this GREAT campground again! read more

Not impressed. From the moment we arrived the up charges started. $9 a day for a second car ( we are here for a week) $20 dep for a cable box. $10 for each entry pass...AND the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT was they DO NOT GIVE POLICE OR FIRE PERSONAL DISCOUNTS ANY LONGER. Thanks for the appreciation. When I shared my disappointment they said nothing. But while we were setting up our site a guy stopped by in a golf cart and said "I guess someone pissed you off at the office" so he THROWS a small bundle of fire wood on the ground for us. Really? We have the whole back of the pick up filled with fire wood and he THROWS us a 6 piece bundle of sticks? And the cost of everything here is double other campgrounds. They don't seem to care much about customer satisfaction. read more

We recently had a wonderful stay at this campground and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. The spaces in the Captain's Quarter were exceptionally spacious and impeccably clean, offering plenty of room for relaxation. The campground's landscaping was stunning, with beautifully maintained flowers and greenery enhancing the overall atmosphere. The pools and lake were also noteworthy--both were very clean and well-maintained, contributing to a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Overall, this campground offers a fantastic blend of comfort, cleanliness, and natural beauty. Highly recommended! read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE DON'T EVER COME HERE First off let me start by saying this camping resort owner & staff are RACIST. My family & i were ask to leave 15 years ago for numerous of problems they were trying to accuse us of. They discriminated my latino family for us being naturally loud. Their attitude & demeanor was full of disgust towards us, please do yourself a good deed & don't ever contribute to this camping resort. They are a lot more other camping resort in the areas with bigger camping grounds , greater prices , and without a doubt better hospitality. read more

Wonderful campground! Beachcomber Camping was very relaxing with a beautiful swimming lake, a nice beach, and clear blue pools. There were always tons of activities going on for you to do and so close to the lighthouse and attractions in Cape May and the rides on the Wildwood Boardwalk. The staff was very friendly and I would highly recommend this campground to anyone searching for an inexpensive yet delightful vacation. read more

Out of all the campground resorts I have visited, Beachcomber is the best. The personnel is friendly and the resort is very clean. There is constant activity for both adults and children. One of the best things to do is to relax at the lake. The view is absolutely beautiful. Beachcomber Resort is definitely one place you'll one to visit!! read more
