This is me and my aunt at the pool

I come here every year with my and aunt and uncle I love it here it is so much fun there is so much to do the workers are nice and kind. I will Always recommend to other people also they always have a lot of activities to do at any time. I fell very safe here and I love it and you can make a lot of friends here and also have so much fun with them and you can win prizes and you can take golf cart rides go to the lake go to the pools and at the end of my site there is a pond and you can feed the fish and turtles also you can go in the back and you can like at the teepees and at night you can go looking around the pond for a lot of cool insects like frogs. And at the lake there is sand and fish very little is a playground that I grew up in and there is a food court thing next to it and they have the best food.

My wife and I stayed at Beachcomber Camping Resort for a week. We had a great time. We arrived after the office had closed due to traffic delays on our trip. It was not an issue. The office staff called before they closed to inquire about our ETA. They had a check in packet set outside the office for us. We talked to a security guard at the gate who gave us directions to our site. While the roads are not wide, there was plenty of room to negotiate the turns. Our motorhome is just over 30 feet long. I backed into our site without any problem. There's a long concrete pad for a patio. The campsites are well maintained and large enough to park our suv that we tow behind our rig. The rules that Beachcomber have help to provide a relaxing camping experience for all.

Ask the Community - Beachcomber Camping Resort

Where all the pools open when you went?

    They are now

Wait. They charge you to take a shower? when did this happen? Was concidering camping again after a very long time of not camping, only to see someone say they charge for showers. Do they charge for bathroom use as well?

They don't charge to use the bathrooms, sinks, vanity and so on. just a few quarters for showers. They are really nice. very large with dry enclosed dressing and sitting area

There's no front desk -- everything is handled by text -- but the staff was quick to respond and very helpful throughout our stay, even though we didn't have any issues. Our room (201) was large, clean, and nicely designed, with a full (albeit abbreviateD) kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and plenty of space to hang out. The balcony had a beautiful view of the sunset and was one of our favorite parts of the stay. One parking space is included and it's a very easy walk to either the beach or town for shopping or food. It's probably (definitely) on the higher end price-wise during the summer, but for a fall weekend, it was ideal: quiet, comfortable, and close to everything.

I also enjoyed the workout mats in room to continue exercise away from home. The heated salt water pool even in early May felt so nice. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere. The fire pits were also relaxing and easy to use. Lokal is steps away from the beach which is fantastic. Would love to visit during peak season to use the provided beach tags and service available. It is also close to many bars and restaurants that are walkable. We really enjoyed our stay here for the perfect Mom and Dad getaway!

I've stayed at their Diamond Beach location, but this was my first time here. Let me mention the most enjoyable employees first. Chet was at the Front Desk when I checked out. He was by far the most friendly person I interacted with at the front desk. Some of the females were a bit...... unfriendly. If you chose to work in a customer service position it's probably best to have a sunny disposition. I think Cape May needs to address that. Tarik/Tajik? He was the young men who helped EVERYBODY get their chairs and umbrellas to the beach. He was WORKING! Yet, he always remained pleasant. And lastly, the gentleman driving the shuttle was very pleasant. He picked us up/dropped us off about 4 times. He was also servicing the Mahalo (and Icona resort) so he had his work cut out for him! We REALLY appreciated him as it was pouring one night and he came to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. That amenity is CLUTCH! Overall, it's a nice hotel. Clean, a beautiful small bathroom, a cute little kitchen area, a small pool, and parking. Somebody mentioned the room was small, but to me it was a decent size. The balcony however, now THAT was small. Just enough room for the 2 of us to sit out there side by side and chill. I did see larger balconies out by the pool (facing the beach) so I guess you get what you pay for (larger room perhaps; suite). The AC however, is loud. It's not a window unit, but one of those wall units. I'm glad I brought my earplugs, otherwise I probably wouldn't have slept. And speaking of sleep, the bed is not what I am used to when I visit a hotel; especially a higher end boutique hotel. It was uncomfortable to me. My partner however, had no problem sleeping and did not feel it was uncomfortable. So.... roll the dice. The pool is tiny. Or shall I say, smaller than the size you will expect it to be. But it works. I chilled in the pool for 3 days. It's a good spot to people watch and break from the sand of the beach. And once we parked, we didn't have to move the car. Cape May is very pedestrian friendly. We walked and rode bikes every where we went. I love it. It was a great getaway. Check it out.

The shuttle runs Friday & Saturday in the off season. It was a much appreciated surprise. We took it to the Trolley Ghost Tour. Side note: Cape May MAC Trolley tours are a must. The walls are thin. Have private conversations very quietly. Our neighbors were respectful & adhered to the quiet hours 10pm to 7am. We loved that we walked in to a living room area and not directly in to the bedroom. The door faces out to the world like a motel so I definitely do not like my bed close to the entry of the room. The kitchen includes pantry shelves, dish detergent & cloths, dishes / glasses / mugs, Keurig, toaster, ice bucket, refrigerator, and silverware. The shower pressure is AMAZING! Hubs & I could have lived in the shower..haha..but seriously it was great shower pressure. The Spa Collection has a light sea scent. We had plenty of towels & wash cloths. The bed is super comfortable. Not to hard or soft with tons of pillows. There is an extra blanket in the closet with robes. Slight complaints: there is light out on the patio so it was not a completely dark room to sleep. I had an eye mask so that was super helpful. Also, the TVs are older. There's limited channels. The TVs aren't app capable. In season, most people probably won't care because they're out & about but if you have kids or if it's raining or it's the off season like our visit we really appreciated having a TV & would have loved if we could log in to our apps. We did enjoy HBO & watched some movies. Didn't care for Marty Supreme. The TV screen size could be bigger too. It was surprising to get a text from Front Desk each morning asking if we needed care. We only stayed 3 nights so we didn't have them clean, but they did our room on the second day anyway. They did a great job. Made the rooms feel homey. We'll definitely return.

They have a nice outdoor bar on the beach, but due to the insane wind, it was closed. Tropical Storm Debby was working her whorish way up the coast of New Jersey that weekend. We left the property for dinner, but we regretted it upon our return. The hotel restaurant (Coastal Blue) is beautiful! We enjoyed a night cap at the restaurant bar while we learned a bit about the history of the hotel from the bartenders. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. And they MEAN 10:00 AM. We were getting ourselves ready to go and at 10:00 AM on the dot, housekeeping walked in. We heard them before we saw them, and we said, "We need a minute". It was a little off-putting. We even had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We did not hear a knock. At any rate, don't expect to linger for even a minute. We were worried they would charge us for the extra 10 minutes (they didn't). I can't help but wonder if it would have been a different scenario if we booked our stay through Icona directly. Hmmm... At any rate, clean hotel with good amenities and shuttle service for local jaunts.
