Went here today for lunch and sat at the first floor bar. We did bottomless mimosas and it's such a great price. I have the coconut mojito and it was also very good. Ordered coconut shrimp sushi and it was excellent as a starter. For lunch we did the tuna sushi and the Krab sushi along with the grilled Caesar with blackened shrimp. Everything was very good. Came here with my dad for dinner. The location is ideal. We had a 45 minute wait for inside, but that was fine. We did end up with a table outside and within the 45 minutes. We shopped a bit across the street at Alwin's while we waited. We both had an old fashioned. 18.00 each. Wow. They were on the sweet side, but ok. We chose to dine on the second floor and the views did not disappoint. It was a clear day and the ocean and beach were a perfect setting for dinner. For drinks my wife and I had the white and red sangria. Both were done but I preferred the more spritzy flavor of the white sangria. She had the punaluu beach fish which tasted very fresh. I had the pecan crusted trout. The pecan crust added an excellent texture and the citrus-Chardonnay sauce really brought the dish together. The only down side was there wasn't enough of the sauce. The servers and hostess were friendly but nothing exceptional. Overall it's a reasonably priced pleasant experience with exceptional views. read more

My first time at a very cute spot. They do not take reservations on the weekends so we arrived at 5pm and got ocean side seating, though the weather wasn't the best. I ordered the short rib and mashed potatoes which were amazing. The potatoes were 10/10. I would pass on the salmon roll and try another roll next time. The bars have TVs for any sports fans. The restaurant has two floors, the first floor is inside and the second is outside. They have an elevator if walking the steps is not an option. The pier is walking distance and the pier has free entrance. The strip of the restaurant gave me a nostalgic feel of what miami use to be in the 80:s which is a great feeling. TL;DR: a bit pricey but great food that actually matches its price point. Some dishes on the salty side. Parking: street side, no private lot. Atmosphere: casual but feels on the formal end. Service: wait to be seated, you will be watered, food brought to you, check brought to you. Kid friendly: high chairs available upon request, single paper menu with crayons. Menu: short and to the point with no photos. Things are a bit pricey but the level of presentation and taste with each dish is spot on. Drinks: you can ask for light syrup in mixed drinks if you don't want it too sweet. Smoked Trout Dip: the dip itself has really small thin bones (edible) and is really salty. Definitely something you cannot eat by itself -- you NEED that pita bread. That being said, it tastes really good with the pita but there isn't enough pita bread (at least for my group of 5), we had a lot of dip left and not enough bread. Walk the Cedar Plank Salmon: comes with a generous helping of kale salad that is mixed with lots of Parmesan cheese and sprinkled with what looks like crouton bits -- there was too much Parmesan in my opinion, which made the salad a bit too salty. The salmon was extremely tasty. You can have it cooked to your liking -- I chose Medium Well and it was divine. The sauce on top was not too overpowering and gave the salmon a nice flavor and slight tang. I also enjoyed the crispiness of the grilled portion of the salmon. read more

The food is bland and what I would expect from a shack on the beach, not a restaurant. The service is slow and the building could use a deep cleaning. It reminds me of an Applebees or TGIFridays (R.I.P.) as far as the upkeep. Boxes stacked in a corner, rusty fixtures, and grimy fans show that the minimum is done to keep this place open. The drinks here are INCREDIBLE and the views of the beach are stunning. They have these beautiful large curved booths that face the ocean and the restaurant is two stories. There was a wait for the booth, so we sat at the bar for a few drinks first. We went for brunch and there was a fairly limited brunch menu, but their typical lunch menu also had pleasantly of great options. Normally a beach front restaurant is on the pricier side, but I would say that there were options for all budgets which was pleasantly surprising and the portions for food were also excellent. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is since you can't make weekend reservations. Having to wait almost two hours to sit outside is not ideal, especially when you can make reservations next door and have a very similar experience. I really did enjoy this place though. Their food is really good. If you can get a table upstairs by the ocean, it's totally worth it. I worked with them on a surprise proposal that was successful so I really appreciated all of the work they put in to make sure we had everything we needed and that it went as planned. I would definitely recommend this place. Pricing is what you expect to pay for a spot on the beach. There's garage and street parking really close and valet if you'd prefer. They also have a ramp that leads to directly on the beach for a stroll after you eat. read more

She was very kind about how upstairs dining worked and we were able to sit on the second floor overlooking the ocean. Our server, Vlad, was great. Food was very good. Shrimp and grits were excellent, as was the scallops with dirty rice. The only critique I'd give is that the oysters were not shucked well. The meat was mangled and the oysters weren't cleanly cut from the shell so I had to scrape them a bit to get all of the oyster out. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Additionally, my girlfriend is very gluten sensitive. Vlad, with the help of the chef, did a great job of letting us know which dishes were safe. We will return, and we will definitely recommend. We went to beach house on the last day of our family vacation. Getting sat was a little confusing but it was worth it for the amazing view we had! I had the special which was a chimichurri steak and the whole plate was inhaled. Whatever the potatoes were, i'd eat them 1000x over again. My mom was so excited for the hot dog and was shocked when it came out.. pictures don't even do it justice but she said it was just what she wanted, a GOOD hot dog. I got a gift card from my parents and I decided to save the card and take them there when they came to visit Pompano. I walked by the place practically every day, and was really looking forward to eating there. First off, I was very surprised at how limited the menu was. Secondly, my wife ordered a margarita and it was $17. When she ordered a second one, I asked her if it was good, and she said it was ok. I told her well for $17 a pop, you might want to make this your last one here. I ordered the sushi appetizer, and it was ok. I don't even remember what I ate for my entree that's how unforgettable the food was. On the plus side, the view is pretty hard to beat, and our server was excellent. All of the sushi was delicious as were a lot of other things. The kale salad = fresh and delicious, sandwiches- I could recommend them but I have a gluten allergy. They can make several dishes gluten free, but they don't have any gluten free buns or bread. For drinks I suggest the margarita with a tajin rim!
