We dined on a Friday night for my mom's birthday at Beach House in Pompano. I made a reservation a few days in advance online . For a Friday in April the restaurant was not too busy . For parking I opted to valet since I couldn't find a spot on the first two levels in the parking garage and I had a lot of things to carry (valet $15) - note do not bring balloons into the restaurant, if you do they don't allow them at the table due to fans , they will keep your balloons in a room until you leave . They have many seating options , we sat inside , they also have outdoor seating and a rooftop . It was super windy when we went up to take a few pics. For appetizers we had a beat and goat cheese salad - was very good , a fish dip with pita - loved it and a garbanzo bean dip not my favorite and wouldn't order it again. For main entree, I had salmon with asparagus- it was a very large piece and cooked perfectly. My sister had a red snapper with broccoli which she enjoyed and my mom had a grilled fish sandwich with broccoli . I brought a little cheese Cake in for my mom's birthday and we sang at the table . What a beautiful place and location. Parking is a little tough but it is the beach area. There's two level to the Beach House. First level is regular dining with a bar facing the water. For the best views go upstairs. Upstairs has a bar and dining but the dining area is stadium levels. Great open area and views. It almost feel like you have a private cabana. As long as their is a beach breeze the area should be comfortable. The menu is varies from sandwiches, burgers and some elevated items. All affordable and priced accordingly. Of course there are drunks! Just about anything you could want from draft, mojitos and margaritas. Started with the jumbo shrimp cocktail. Was very tasty with fresh large shrimp. My main course was the chicken cordon blue sandwich. It was cooked well and tasty. I did find the bacon a little flavorful and dominating in the sandwich but it sure was tasty. If I were to get thus again I would probably have the bacon on the side. Loved everything else here from the atmosphere, to the staff and friendliness. We were greeted and seated quickly, got to sit outside, with an absolutely glorious ocean view! Our server came over quickly to take our order. I got mahi mahi tacos, hubby got a club sandwich. The taco was freakin amazing. Cooked perfectly, with a zest that was only made more delicious by the Cole slaw and mango salsa. So good. Hubby's club was delightful, came with homemade chips and a dip that was to die for. Not ranch... I don't know what is was, but I almost licked the bowl it was so good. I got the beach house cooler to drink. Nice colorful rum drink with a beautiful flower garnish. I'd skip the sliders next time. The fact this has a 4.1 star review is baffling to me. This restaurant has to be one of the worst I've been to, and I've gone to quite a few all over the world and omgggg where do I start? The view was nice I guess, since it's right on the beach, but the food and drinks are the most disgusting I've had. The waitress made a point to tell us that the lychee martini was the best and lowkey through shade at other establishments lychee martinis tasting like gasoline, and you wouldn't believe it, when she brought it, theirs TASTED LIKE GASOLINE. My bf had a margarita and it was so water down, we had to send both back and got sangrias instead. The waitress comment on the margarita is that it's so hot that the ice might have melted. Sure okay!?! But how do you even mess up sangria?!? I swear they pour water in the wine because it was tasteless with some fruit. We were so embarrassed for them, we just decided not to say anything and just drink it. Then it was time for food. My bf had fish tacos and he said it was okay. Suspicious... My Caesar salad was a different story. I didn't know it was even possible to mess up Caesar salad either, it's always been my go-to, even when restaurants are questionable. Honestly they should have just bought the pre-made bags from Publix, because they decided to be fancy and grill the whole romaine lettuce and it was soggy and wet. AND BARELY had any dressing. As someone who's been to many restaurants like I mentioned, I've had it grilled before and I've never had a waitress bring me a soggy lettuce. Overpriced for terrible food and drinks. Great cocktails, great menu. Chef is from Louisiana so you know they know how to cook, blackened mahi was the catch of the day and the blacken seasoning is perfectly smoky and not over salted. The gulf oysters were meaty and well shucked. The coconut mojito was great and jordan was a great bartender/server. The restaurant has an upstairs, patio, and a walk ramp down to the beach!! Beach House is a beautiful setting right on the beach with fantastic food and great service. 5 star ambience: the setting is beautiful right on the ocean with plate glass windows for a wraparound view. Outside it's a rejuvenated area of Pompano rebuilt in the last decade or so. There's a crowded parking deck, but also valet parking for this cluster of restaurants. 5 star service: Megan our server was excellent. She was friendly and sweet, plus it had recently been her birthday ( we were there for mine). No one asked and I kinda hate the sparkling cupcake sorta stuff, but Megan brought one, which was sweet and thoughtful. 5 star food: kale and chicken salad was also fantastic. Ok, so we're in Florida at moment and we wanted to visit a nice restaurant. I will admit, I am quite spoiled with Northern fare but I have an open mind everywhere I go. Today I went to the Beach House. We were hungry. The fresh oysters were actually pretty good. The chicken wings were tasty and warm. The honey bbq sauce was good. The blue cheese authentic. My in-laws got sandwiches, which seemed pretty decent considering that they ate most of their food. I tried the mac and cheese. It was ok. Nothing special. I had 2 mojitos because the first one was watery and I wanted to make sure I wasn't just an alky but both were bla. This leads me to the burger and service. My husband ordered a burger. Nothing fancy, he asked for it to be plain with cheese, medium rare. Normally, I really wouldn't care but it was mostly the response that got me. I told the waiter that the burger was cooked well done, he said, "I see that, I didn't make it, what would you like me to do?" I said what I hate to say, can I see your manager. She came, she said let me get you another burger and brought out the same, well done burger, again. So don't ask for medium rare. The manager never came back to check on us again after. I heard they do things differently down here in Florida. I get better service at Outback. I don't mind bad service as much if the food is spot on but messing up the food and being dismissive is a red for me. Lastly, it's loud in there. If you're looking for a fake pre-club, pre-party scene this is the place for you. The view of the beach is nice. I would not recommend this place for a true foody. This restaurant is nicely located right next to the Pompano Beach Pier and has great views if you choose to sit outside. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, all nice interactions. Our waitress was very nice, continuously coming back throughout our time to check if anything is needed. I had gotten the cilantro key lime chicken and it was delicious. The size of the chicken they give you is very generous and the fries it came with were salted great and tasted amazing. The outside seating was great. What a difference from 4 years ago! Again the smoked fish dip was excellent. The service today was horrible. Perhaps our server Alan was was stretched too thin, he did attend to our needs but quite slowly and very piece meal - we needed a fork and a lime (2x) we waited upwards of 30 minutes. Maybe the bar was slow as we waited quite a while for our drinks. We did speak with the manager Antonella, she only made excuses, no apology. I've been here a few times, it's about time I left a review on Beach House is in absolute beauty of a establishment. The vibes are immaculate, the views are one of a kind and most importantly the food is bomb. Location is great , the ambiance is phenomenal and service is up to par. You can have a really good experience here at what ever occasion. Inside seating is cool and still get to enjoy the ocean views but out door seating is where it's at. I mean why are you in the beach if can't enjoy the sweet ocean breeze right? I do have to say that the coleslaw I had here was the best I ever tasted. They have a lil something of everything, from shrimp n grits to sushi. Drinks are fire too. I highly recommend this spot if you're in the area looking for a good experience. read more

We recently dined at The Beach House and really enjoyed the overall experience. The atmosphere is beautiful--right on the water with a relaxed, coastal vibe--though it does get a bit loud at times. We started with the clams, which were delicious and a great way to kick things off. We made a reservation for a Friday evening and were offered immediate seating on their downstairs outdoor patio or wait for an upstairs booth for 45 min. We decided to be seated immediately and the view was still beautiful! The restaurant is right on the beach. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. We loved every dish we ordered. Today was such a lovely Sunday at the Beach House. We went early afternoon and it was not too crowded and the weather was beautiful! We came here twice with friends - the ambience is very laid back/beach vibes. We ordered from their brunch menu & had the French toast + salmon Benedict which were both very good and quite filling. For appetizers we had the tuna stack and it was large enough to share. A friend of ours ordered the artichoke appetizer but it was difficult to eat because it was hard to chew. Otherwise, if you sit outside it has a great view to the ocean but wait time may be a bit longer and sitting inside is also nice because the windows & terrace area is all open so the wind blows through in the dining area. It is located in vibrant downtown by the beach hence the name. There is outdoor seating and the restaurant is open window (the only way I can describe it). There is a full bar and a second floor which can be reserved for private parties (that evening there was a wedding reception). We shared a hummus appetizer which was very good. The boys ordered burgers and I had the short rib entree. They were all very good! The restaurant is lively so it is a little hard to have a conversation. There is street parking available or you can park at a hotel nearby. Service was friendly and efficient. If you're looking to dine with an ocean view, I recommend this place! read more

My experience at Beach House in Pompano Beach was unacceptable. Our server, Christopher P., made it obvious that he had no interest in serving us. While he greeted other tables warmly, explained the menu, and engaged with them, he offered us none of the same basic courtesy. No welcome, no menu overview, and he couldn't answer simple questions about the charcuterie board or even basic beach activities. The difference in treatment was blatant and uncomfortable. No guest should have to sit and watch their server provide attentive service to others while ignoring my table. Management needs to address this kind of selective service immediately. read more

The view of the ocean is breathtaking, this alone is worth it. Food is on the pricey side but quite good and considering the location, it is worth it. I recommend asking for an upstairs table to get the best view. I removed one star because service is always an issue. During lunch time we had our host forget about us, he cleaned the table but then did not come get us, so we seated ourself after 5 minutes waiting. For that same lunch, our waiter was nowhere to be seen and it took a while for the food to come. We were not in a rush so it was fine but definitely too slow. Another time we went with friends, one of the guests did not get their food. As the table was done eating, he told the waiter to cancel the order. While the waiter apologized, I think it would have been nice for the waiter to offer the food to go or perhaps offer something on the house like a desert or pay for the drinks. Because going to a restaurant and not getting your food served is unacceptable. Overall it's a good place but don't expect the best service. read more
