Be well is the BE ALL. I selfishly wish it was open every day of every week because it legit nourishes my belly soul. I've tried every smoothie on the menu and can confidently say they're all hitters in their own way. For me it depends on the day's vibe. Hot days call for La Palma. Sweet days desire The Licuado or Well Whip. Indulgent days need that Nana Cao. Fit days like a fresh Strawberry Mama or Blueberry Dreams. And every day in between is dedicated to my go to's CoCo Sphere and Blue Ocean. You really can't go wrong! The juices are great too and in combination can create the perfect cleanse. Now if you're not about a cleanse, don't sleep on the food. Their sandwiches are the underrated stars. My personal favorite is the salmon lox. However, I would argue the turkey sandwich is easily top 5 best sandwiches in the Bay Area. Also, that avocado toast is the amuse bouche. They truly know flavors. Love the smoothies here, and the online ordering is so convenient. The hours are pretty limited but I'm just glad this place is open at all. So far I've really enjoyed the various coconut milk smoothies. I've tried one or two juices that seemed overly lemony but that won't stop me from trying again. read more

3.5 Stars, at least until they improve in terms of keeping regular shop hours and the overall wait time for orders. The smoothie I ordered was perfecto (Blue Ocean). So, I guess good things come to those who wait. All the proper notes hit - coconut, agave, mango - it was a signature smoothie worth every dime. The customer service has been upbeat and helpful. I spoke with another customer while I waited and he expressed a bit of frustration with the wait time and customer service intimating that they had been rude to him on several occasions. He had been waiting for 15 minutes. The store also doesn't allow customers inside which may be off putting for some customers. I do like the kiosk option. I was sent a text message which provided updates on my order status. Initially, it sent me a 54 minute wait time. Fortunately, it took closer to 10 minutes. An absolute gem of a small business located here in San Leandro, CA! We don't have a lot of healthy food options so when I found this place on Yelp when I was craving smoothies and found that it was right down the street from my workplace, I was ecstatic. Parking is in a small paid plaza and I highly recommend paying for parking since the patrol is always out around here. I've gotten the Blue Ocean (my fav) & Blueberry Dream smoothies as well as the avocado toast. If you love coconut milk/water like me, the blue ocean is the perfect drink for you and it's so extremely refreshing and pretty to look at too. I don't typically buy avocado toast from outdoor restaurants since I think I can make it better but this place has delicious fluffy bread and well marinated/seasoned avocado so every bite is heaven. The only drawback is that you do have to wait a while for your order (~30-45 minutes during lunch time) so I highly recommend utilizing their online payment platform Revi to order in advance. I was back by the next week picking up more of that Persimmon before they ran out. After the holiday craziness, I was back again for two bottles of their Red Beet, celebrated Earth Day with their vegetarian Portobello Sando, vegan Well Whip for Dole Whip lovers like myself (pineapple, cold pressed pineapple juice, housemade coconut milk, agave) and their Earth Day/weekend exclusive Coco Sphere (banana, housemade coconut milk, honey, ceremonial matcha, blue spirulina). Was in the Pelton Center dropping off dry cleaning and happened upon this new juice/smoothie shop. Order at the door and card/virtual wallet is best. Next time I would probably call in an order but not sure if they do that. It's a slower process here - so be prepared to wait for the juicy goodness. The smoothie was super thick and the ratios were delicious, I see why they don't do substitutions - formula is perfection. You can tell the quality of ingredients here - taste like real live food. The juice was shockingly vibrant - in the best way. Perfect little cleanse after my trip. Staff are so authentically warm and passionate for their craft. There's a new juice shop in town! Full disclosure - I was actually planning to get boba across the way at I tea. But the line was just too long and I was too impatient for that. I had already noticed the juice sign as I was walking up and as a pressed juice lover, I had to check them out. It looks as though they just moved in, as they were still preparing the store, but there is a menu already up and running and friendly staff to assist you. I ended up with the woke juice, which is pear, green apple, lemon and ginger. I don't usually see pear at a juice shop so I had to get that one. There's two sizes - 12 oz. or 16 oz. I went for the smaller one since I was just trying them out but after my first sip, I regretted not getting the larger size. They also offer a couple of food items, including a lox sando. Will definitely return and look forward to trying more of their drinks, especially that cacao nibs and banana smoothie. read more

Wait times can be up to 15 minutes or so. I've waited longer at Peet's and "In and Out". No big deal for me. The Woke is spicy with ginger and very lemony. It's my ideal drink. It was my first time trying this place as I came across an Instagram foodie influencer raving on the smoothies and food. So I thought why not? The service was great and the wait time was 25 minutes. To be honest, I didn't think it would take that long to make all the orders but there were people ahead of me. This place is outstanding except for the "ambiance." The fact that the customers have to use a kiosk and stand crowded outside the door opening is not great for customer service. I would like to be able to walk inside the store where there's ample space to stand and wait for my order or talk to someone if I have questions about the items instead of hovering through the door until someone walks by. I haven't had problems with ordering online and pickup on time. I do appreciate the rewards program given all the convenience fees required for ordering at the kiosk/online. The quality of the food and drink items is excellent. I highly recommend this place if you haven't yet given it a try. Their avocado toast cannot be beat. The execution from the bread to the toppings is supreme. I also love their mushroom sandwich but beware this is on the heavy side. I love the use of sprouts and mayo. It's filling and I don't normally eat sandwiches but I'll eat this one down to the last bite. The banana agave shake is also on point but the price is too high for me. This is something I could make at home but when you're on the go and looking for something more on the healthy side, this is a good bet for your daily dose of potassium. The pineapple shake on the other hand was too sour for me to finish and not my cup of tea. I couldn't finish it but I'm sure it was 100% fresh. Still looking forward to try the turkey sandwich and at least one more of their shakes. I usually frequent this place when I'm in San Leandro for dog grooming or dog training otherwise it's a bit out of the way. I would go regularly for the avocado toast if I lived closer! read more

I like how creamy and thick the smoothie is. 3/5 Portobello sandwich - I wanted to try something different, but I wasn't too big of a fan of the sprouts. I didn't eat the sandwich right away, so it did get cold. Because the bread is toasted with olive oil, it was pretty greasy. I didn't hate the sandwich but I would probably order something else for future visits 5/5 Avocado toast - This was so yummy! It had a lemon-y taste to it, which made it refreshing. It looks small in the takeout box, but it's pretty heavy and filling. The staff is so nice and friendly! After having to wait 20-30 minutes for my drink during the first visit, I learned to plan ahead and call/order online through their website. They're small staff (of 2?), so waiting is understandable. I think it's worth the wait if you have time! They don't have a typical business schedule and close fairly early. But, man, the sando's are addicting and the smoothies are amazing! Every smoothie is taste incredible! This is not fault of BWJ, but I realized that I can't handle too much raw pineapple or it'll make my throat irritated, but something I learned about myself thanks to devouring their smoothie!
