One person working here and a family of 6-8 people in line taking forever to choose a flavor. Slow service but so generous with the one scoop. 1 scoop is $5.25. The ice cream is pretty good, very creamy. They also have a cotton candy machine!

Sweet Bar is an expansion of the existing Loard's Ice Cream. Interior slightly renovated to create a fun place for youngsters for enjoy their favorite desserts: ice cream, milk shakes, sundaes, green tea, milk tea, smoothies.... Associate was quick to say "hello". Tasted an ice cream sample. Licks: 2 scoops-horchata, rocky road in cup. (6.65) -got discounted to 5.90 for unknown reason. -walnut sample along with above scoops didn't have much flavor, was creamy, melted semi-quick. Not oversugared.. -cones had surcharge (.25-$1) 3.5 stars decor caters to the young at heart, school crowd. Adults welcome. Saw a table of aunties in corner. *cotton candy machine available. **not advisable to bring dates here. Besides lack of privacy. The image of a "cheap" date isn't cool.

I've been ordering from here for a while now. My family loves it. The problem is, that every time I order delivery they mess up the order. EVERY SINGLE TIME. If I order for there or take it to go it's fine but not when I have it delivered. It's really starting to annoy me actually. The service is fine when I go in and the ice cream and drinks are good but they need to forgive this delivery thing out. Not sure if they're being lazy or just don't care. I ordered a Strawberry Snow which was good and the Super Sundae with salted caramel ice cream, peanuts, chocolate syrup, a cherry and no whipped cream. It came without the chocolate syrup and had whipped cream on it. Now I understand that this isn't that big of a deal and it's not the end of the world but you want something prepared the way you ordered it and paid for. Edit: just found a yummy piece of plastic mixed in the ice cream! What the heck Sweet Bar?!?

The advertised tofu with taro and sweet potato balls with neither included

We ordered door dash a few weeks back and it was the worst dessert order we have ever received, EVER! We ordered tofu and grass jelly desserts. The hot grass jelly was suppose to come with red bean, tofu and mango, but we received a huge tub of grass jelly only. The tofu with taro had no taroor potato balls. The bubble waffle we ordered was super soggy and just didn't seem cooked all the way through. Overall... Stick to the ice cream only. They should have cancelled our door dash order instead of sending an order that did not meet the requirements of what their menu offered.

I visited Sweet Bar on a Sunday afternoon it was not busy, the service was quick and the staff was nice. Unfortunately the waffle machine was broken so I was unable to try the waffle bubble. I got a few ice cream cones and milk tea. The kids loved the ice cream and the milk tea was good. The shop is cute and was a nice experience definitely recommend trying.

I've been here multiple times and my favorite place to get ice cream in San Leandro. They still serve Loard's ice cream now with option of a fresh bubble waffle. The service is great and the ice cream + bubble waffle was delicious. The bubble waffle was crispy and loved the mochi texture in the bubbles. I wasn't a big fan of the boba tea because it was bitter but was mainly there for the ice cream. They even have a fun cotton candy machine for the kids. This place is great to grab ice cream with the family!

Came here after dinner for a quick dessert stop. This place is cute to hang out at. I chose to have half coffee and half praline. It was kind of overly sweet, especially the praline. I'd probably choose a different flavor next time.

Green tea and banana ice cream with egg waffle

We got green tea and banana ice cream. The egg waffle was really good, crunch but soft on the inside. Green tea flavor was my favorite. We got 2 scoops but it felt like we got 4 scoops, they were really generous with their servings. This is a very cute and spacious places to hangout with friends. It's super colorful and fun. Lots of chairs and tables.

I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

Normally, we have our own waiters to take our order, serve our food, give us the bill, and pay for it. I don't know if I recall correctly, but we can self-serve complimentary chips and salsa as well as water. And they have hibiscus tea? Pretty much it's ran out already by the time I arrived. Speaking of that, it was very loud here since I came here during the weekend, but it doesn't really bother me as much. I mostly came here for the Ube Pancakes since I have them before and I think that they're famous for having them. Honestly, it's really good and tasted like how I had them back then. The serving was quite huge to the point that I'm almost full. It's expensive though since it's $22. That's quite unusual for just pancakes alone but that probably because of the ingredients they used. The Vietnamese iced coffee was sweet at first but watered down overtime, but that's natural. At least that didn't happen when my drink arrived. I really enjoy my time here and I'm thinking of returning perhaps on weekdays if I can. It's just too hectic here, but it's not to the point that I would leave since I drove about 25 minutes from Fremont for this restaurant. I feel like Ube Pancakes is the only main dish I have so far and so I'm looking forward for other dishes in the future.

Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. It gives off such a welcoming, community-centered vibe -- like they genuinely want people to come in, enjoy good food and drinks, hang out, relax, and just have a good time. I was indecisive while ordering because there's just too many goodies to choose from and IK that can be annoying, but we had great service because the guy that took our order was patient and seen that my struggles was most definitely real . We ordered mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken, curly fries, and two large Thai teas -- one with green apple jelly topping, which paired sooo well to me hehe. We don't eat out much because we cook at home nowadays, so when we do, we wanna enjoy the classics lol. It's actually really cool seeing how the place has evolved over the years. The very first time we came, the back area looked like this cute little library/study hall/tutoring/game/hangout room. Then a couple years into the COVID days, it turned into a unique snack and gift shop vibe. Now it's this awesome mini arcade/lounge setup with comfy seating, sports on TV, and really great food (savory & sweets) and drinks. And the food is SOLID. Even on my last mozzarella stick, I still had a cheese pull -- and it had already been at least like 20-30 minutes. That says a lot on the quality. What also makes this place stand out is the little acts of kindness. Part of their service is while we were already getting busy, grubbing, they randomly offered us a complimentary yummy, soft, and fluffy eggette on a stick with their condensed milk sauce, which gave me that feeling like how a love one would just randomly give something very sweet just because. I don't go out much anymore, but if I'm craving for some outside sweets and treats oh and almost forgot to mention how pretty affordable for the quality and portions we got for our meal, I'm def bringing my nieces n nephews here when they visit! I love the different chairs, décor, games, ambiance, food, and drinks! They keep everything so clean, neat, and organized at the station from where you sanitize your hands, grab your napkins, straws and condiments-- it genuinely feels like there's something here for everyone. You HAVE to find at least one thing you'll enjoy here!
