First, a couple of administrative points: (1) As other posters have said, the staff here makes the food when you order it. That means a 25-30 minute wait if you do so. And the waiting area / dining room is tiny and not air conditioned. That makes for a long and not comfortable wait. Do yourself a favor and call ahead - it will be there waiting for you. (2) Also as others have said, the dining area is tiny, with maybe three tables. You should have a plan to take the food elsewhere in case the tables are taken. Now about the food. The chicken was pretty good, with a lot of paprika used to give the chicken a golden color. The mashed potatoes and the macaroni and cheese were also pretty good. The corn muffins were very good. So why not a higher rating? The food is good but not great. The prices are a bit high. A fried chicken meal for one is about $12, and a meal for two is $25. Not horrible, but for that kind of money you expect to be really impressed. The food is decent but is not worth a long drive for. I do recognize, however, the challenge in finding good fried chicken in Western NY, and they try. The service was fast and friendly. Authentic Fried Chicken! No KFC here. This is fried chicken the Southern way. Crispy without being greasy. The Mac and cheese was very tasty--not bland and creamy like some places. I finally wen tot check out BC's! Sunday's during football season is a day for delicious food, and that is definitely what we got with BC's. The fried chicken was sooo juicy! I will drive to Webster any day to get my fix of fried chicken. All we ordered was friend chicken and then we got a free side, we chose the chips, which now thinking about it we should have gotten the back and cheese, the the chips were perfect for the ride home :) I want to go back and try their ribs and their chicken and waffles and mac and cheese! this is defintinily a place I will be returning to and I think their friend chicken is top notch. I was born and raised in the South. Best Fried Chicken I've ever eaten served by some of the friendliest people. Their Hot Wings are even better. My wife and I get them with the sauce on the side and just eat them plain.... the breaded seasoning is that great! Pick-up is a little difficult as they are located on an extremely busy road and have no parking. They'll deliver, but I love the chicken so much I'll walk the mile from my house to pick up the food. read more

We decided to stop by for a quick bite before a late night movie. Service was fast and the owner was very engaging. One of the first things I noticed was how clean the restaurant was! We ordered the garlic parmesan wings - they were delicious. Our fried chicken plates were also fabulous. Super crunchy, crispy, moist and perfectly seasoned chicken. The yummy green beans reminded me of the stewed okra and tomatoes I grew up eating South. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, the chicken was super crispy which I like though I prefer my fried chicken more peppery. There wasn't any salt and pepper on the table either so I ate as was. It was good, as I said super crispy, not dry, nice meaty pieces. The cornbread had good flavor but they make them in little cupcake papers so a lot of it stuck to the wrapper, I would have preferred it just made in a pan and cut into pieces. This restaurant menu is pricey, it has good food but it is by far, the most bizarre experience I have ever had with take out food anywhere. The first time I went there it was 75 minutes to pick up my order. I ordered take out food again about a week ago and it was going to be 45 minutes for my order until I get a phone call that it would take another 45 minutes to have my order ready. I appreciated the call and the professionalism but I just don't understand what the hold up could be? I came in to get my order 90 minutes later and it still was not ready. There were 4 people in the place already waiting for food when I arrived. The dining room was completely empty, which was really no surprise to me. When I walked in, the woman in charge was running out the door to move a car out of the parking lot and for some reason and was gone at least 5 to 7 minutes. When she returned, she told me that it was going to be a few more minutes. Off to the kitchen she goes and by the time she had returned, there were nine people at the counter waiting. The lady is very nice and the food is delicious. The chicken is succulent, crispy, fresh, and worth the trip. The side dishes are all home made and just as good. The ribs are ok but I have had better. I think it all depends on your tastes and how you like your ribs. I would highly suggest that you put your take out order in well in advance and to be prepared to wait. If you are in a hurry or you are going there to dine in, I would either be prepared to wait or I would just not do it. I am going to return to this place again because I like the food, I like the management, and I like to support the local restaurants. I give this place 3 stars and I certainly hope that they figure out these service issues because they certainly do have the potential to be at least a 4 star operation. read more

It's probably one of the best places I've ever eaten when it comes to authentic well done fried chicken. The skin was perfectly crispy and the inside meat was hot and juicy. I had the waffle and chicken, which I have never had before and that filled me up as well satisfied my hunger for something rich and filling. I had the opportunity to try "the coop" for the first time tonight. What an incredible option delivery! The woman who answered the phone was very sweet and I didn't feel like I was being pushed off the phone like some other take out places. We ordered the garlic parm chicken wing dinner and the chicken tender dinner. The wings were absolutely insane (and I am not a wing person). Crunchy outside yet juicy on the inside. The chicken tenders weren't what I was expecting but still very good. My two kids loved them as well. It's a hole in the wall in the Village of Webster but the food is good. It's not particularly cheap (don't expect a $5 Wednesday special like a certain famous national chain), but it's all hand breaded and made to order. Thank the eight pound baby Jesus this place is in Webster, because if it were any closer to me I'd be eating fried chicken every friggin day. This was the best I have EVER had. Everything here is made from scratch and it shows. My husband and I got the small combo. It was plenty of food for the two of us and it was $15! Two bone-in fried chicken breasts (you can choose which cut of chicken you'd like), ribs, a small box of just-made seasoned chips, two pieces of cornbread and a small tub of macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was just okay. It didn't have a sauce - it was literally just macaroni with some melted cheese. But everything else was so, so good and so cheap! The restaurant itself is really small (I think it had maybe four 2-person tables?) and it's definitely hot in there. I didn't see any outdoor seating. It's definitely more of a takeout place. They make everything to order so expect to wait about 15 minutes for your food. They're right in the little downtown area of Webster so we just wandered around the shops while we waited. I wasn't sure how to do this review, especially since everybody loves it here. I came here because they kept popping up with all of these amazing 5 star reviews. I feel like it is rare for a business to have that many great reviews so I knew I needed to try it. I checked the hours ahead of time and saw they open at 11:00 AM on Saturday's so I knew they would be open when I left home at 12:15 PM to get lunch. When I got there, the business was closed. The guy at the shoe store next door said he would call the owner and see when they would be there. The owner told him she would be there in about 5 minutes so I decided to wait; I should not have waited, I should have gone home and saved eating here for a different day which would probably give a better review. One of the owners did get there in 5 minutes and she opened up and informed me she was waiting for her fresh chicken to be delivered and it would be there shortly. I still decided to wait. Another 5 minutes passed and the chicken was there. The problem was that the chicken they got was frozen, so they really didn't have any fresh chicken because they couldn't use the fresh chicken until it thawed. The only chicken they had was a couple of cutlets, a couple of breasts and wings. One of the other owners offered to make a plate similar to what we wanted and toss in some extras for the inconvenience. I was fine with that and went forward with my order. I really should not have. It took a while for my order to be started since they basically had to open the store and then I has to wait for it to be made. I left home at 12:15 PM and came home at about 1:45 PM. That is a long time. Like I said, my mistake for staying but I truly expected them to be open when they said they would be and that it wouldn't take so long to get what I wanted. We got home and started to eat and I agree with just about everything else. The chicken is amazing. Soooooo freaking good I do not think I will ever be able to had chicken anywhere else. The mashed potatoes and gravy were not that great and really need some work. The mac and cheese is okay. However, the chips are godly. It has just the right amount of garlic salt as well as other spices which give so much amazing flavor with just a small amount of heat. Overall, I would come back for the chicken and chips but I would call ahead of time to ensure they are open and ready for customers. I really should have not waited but I knew I was going to want to try this place. The owners were really great to me and threw in extra food for the inconvenience but if they were just open, they would not have had to do that. Fried chicken is tricky. It should be very simple, but there are not many places that can do it right. It needs to be moist, flavorful, and the breading needs to be crispy. Usually you get some of the criteria met, but not all. Enter BC's Chicken Coop! This chicken is (dare I say) perfect. I want everything rolled in that breading. The chicken is a good enough reason to give this establishment 5 stars, but the sides I have had have also been stellar. Green beans (w/bacon!), macaroni and cheese, and my new favorite: chips! Shout out to Chris and Naz for selling the chips. That wouldn't normally be my first choice but I had to see what the big deal was and I get it now! A warning: you will crave this place and make trips out to *Webster* (ugh) for the sole purpose of visiting the Coop. It's worth it though. read more
