We were looking to grab some food in the Trinity area before heading home. We did a quick search and saw BBQ Joes has two locations nearby, one in High Point and one in Trinity. The Trinity location has slightly higher Yelp reviews so we read a few of them and noticed many of our Yelp Elite connections recommend and that was enough for us. We arrived about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. The location is easy to find and convenient to the highway. Located in a stand alone building with plenty of parking. We also noticed they have an additional parking lot which would make it easy for those with trailers, RV's, etc. Both the interior and exterior appear to be well maintained and we were immediately impressed. We approached the counter and were greeted by a young man. He provided us menus to look over and we also noted there is a wall mounted menu which is easy to read. I decided on my typical BBQ order, a pulled pork sandwich with no slaw. I chose Mac n cheese as my side with a bottled water. My wife chose the brisket platter with sweet potato casserole and green beans, the platters also come with hush puppies. We were provided a number for our table and took a seat. While we waited for our food we both used the restroom and both were clean and well stocked. We also couldn't help but notice at least two employees who were deep cleaning the high chairs and garbage can receptacles, it was impressive to see employees going the extra mile! Our food arrived quickly and looked incredibly tasty. My wife noticed she was given baked beans instead of green beans and the young lady who brought our food was quick to bring an order of the green beans. Neither my wife nor I are baked beans people so we just left them on the plate. Of course, my camera ate first and after I took a few pics we dug in. Each and every bite was delicious! The meats were cooked beautifully and the sides were all yummy. We were finishing up and my wife had a decent amount of the brisket left and decided to order an additional half pound of chopped brisket to add to her salads for work throughout the week. She also ordered herself another side of sweet potato casserole and a Mac n cheese for me for lunch at work. A great experience! We will definitely be back and highly recommend to others.

Best smoked sausage I have ever had (jalapeno cheddar). Excellent pork and brisket but i would make the drive for the sausage alone. Really good breakfast and quick service in the drive thru

Needed a quick lunch, and this place filled the bill. This area is really starved for good places to eat, and I would say stop by here for a good sandwich. I had the sliced brisket sandwich- came on a plan bun with decent enough coleslaw ...it was good. Nothing outstanding, but service was fast and friendly. They serve Pepsi products, which I'm not a fan of- so there is always ice tea to drink.

Road trip number two underway and I'm still only halfway through the reviews from Road trip number one! I was passing through this part of the world and while I wasn't able to meet up with Erik, Mister Yelp Greensboro Community Manager himself, he suggested I stop at BBQ Joe's for lunch. There's nothing as good as a live recommendation from a local so I stopped at BBQ Joe's for lunch. It looks like maybe it used to be a fast food place as far as the structure goes but this isn't fast food. I had a BBQ plate, pulled pork with white slaw and green beans. It was fantastic! Big hunks of moist pork, good portions of those sides which were clearly made in house and a side of the Joe's sauce that was great. The meat didn't need the sauce, but I put some on and it it kicked it up a notch. This is good stuff. The restaurant is clean, the service was friendly and the price was right. BBQ Joe's is only a very short detour of the interstate and well worth it for a great meal. Yes, they do carry out and drive through too. Deliciousssss southern bbq joint! They have everything you would want on their menu. Everything was delicious especially the hushpuppies which at first I thought were onion rings. While it was all amazing the pulled BBQ & hushpuppies were my favorite! I hate that they don't have a location in Greensboro but honestly it was still warm by the time I got home.

You guy. Have you guys tried bbq joes???? I just went there a couple minutes ago o m g I ordered a chicken filet sandwich with lettuce tomato and onion (the combo ) the sandwich was so juicy and so delicious the fries that I didn't know where there, They were so crispy so good, so soft in the inside and it comes in a big portion bag (like a McDonald's L fries )everything was fresh . They're sweet tea that you can NEVER go wrong with so refreshing . AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I 100% give this a 10/10 and recommend you guys to spin by. In trinity !

A friend moved in near this place recently and we hadn't tried Joes. Tonight I went through the drivethru and picked up BBQ for 2 plus some Banana pudding. Perfect dinner for 2 under $10. I was impressed. The BBQ was tasty, served with two fresh burger buns, slaw and sauce. We each made a nice large sandwich with enough left over for lunch tomorrow. The Banana pudding was traditional and a perfect ending to a nice meal. I have passed this place so many times but I would advise anyone traveling on 85 to stop.

Blown away. Some of the best bbq I've ever had and super friendly staff. Will be taking detours to come back.

I got the sliced beef sandwich combo with slaw, okra, and sweet tea. My mom just wanted peach cobbler and okra, and we added potato salad and banana pudding for ourselves. The fried okra was cooked right and not greasy. The potato salad surprised me in a good way, it had slices of bacon in it, which was different but actually really good. The banana pudding was good and creamy, and the peach cobbler was good too. Portions are generous. It's a lot of food for the price and definitely worth it. Service was good,we were in and out. Like most self-respecting barbecue joints, BBQ Joe's lets the food do the talking: the dining area is strictly utilitarian. They keep busy here, but the staff are very efficient, and you won't be waiting long for anything. While BBQ Joe's serves up the chopped or pulled pork that is synonymous with the Tarheel State, don't go looking for the classic Lexington-style experience. They have a variety of sauces as well as ribs, chicken, smoked turkey, and brisket. Stop in before 11, and you can feast on a variety of biscuits. For my most recent visit, I picked up a chopped brisket sandwich with white slaw, a side of hushpuppies, and a banana pudding. The food was prepped quickly and brought out with a smile. The brisket couldn't touch what I had in Texas, but for High Point, it was definitely respectable. Though not as smokey as I would have hoped for, the meat was tender, and the sandwich held plenty of it. That said, the house Joe's sauce runs a bit sweet, and you might want to add a dash of something spicier. While the ring-shaped hushpuppies were addictively crispy and delicious, the banana pudding rated as tasty but unremarkable. BBQ Joe's is a reliable option for good food and fast service. You can find better barbecue if you're inclined to travel, but for High Point proper, this is it.

Most of the time, we order online and use the drive up window to pick up meals, so this is the first time in a while we've been inside. At first I was disappointed to see QR Codes on the table for menus but we were promptly brought real menus (which I prefer). I was surprised to see it seems the menu has expanded quite a bit, not only with breakfast but also things like burgers and pasta dishes. We had the rotisserie chicken omelette and a breakfast burrito. Sides were hash browns and the home fries. The omelette and burrito were both reasonably good, not the best I've had but certainly still good. The potato sides were both great. Food came fast and hot, and service was attentive. I still prefer Why Not for dinners over breakfast and this won't become by new go-to in the morning, but it's a good option and I'm glad to see them expanding the business.

I had the Why Not Chicken wrap which has fried chicken, bacon, cheddar, and some other not-as-important stuff that all tasted scrumptious together! They made this fresh so it took a few minutes (info for those that may be in a rush) but hot and freshly made was fantastic! They have steak fries which were cooked just right. Smart move on their part by sending the most adorable teenage boy with perfect puppy dog eyes to humbly hand us our bag as he kept saying how sorry he was. Who could be mad at him? Not me. We had ordered on their app as we were passing through the area and they were very busy so I get how a mix up could occur. The 5 stars happened because even though we sat for 20 minutes, our food did not. It was hot and it was fresh. Other places could take note of this and maybe step up their game a bit or A LOT.... I'm not saying any names but their initials being with Whataburger... Anyway, I digress. We both got the same thing. The double burger with chili, slaw, mustard, onions, and pickles. While not necessarily the best choice for a road trip lunch driving down the interstate, it's hard to be salty about something so delicious. Messy? Yes. But it was a glorious mess!! You gotta love a place that not only allows you to completely customize your food, but allows it for relatively no extra charge except on the big ticket items like bacon or extra cheese. And they don't skimp either... which again made for a messy drive but well worth the laundry I had to do as soon as our 7 hour drive was over. The two patties were perfectly done, the buns were fresh and they were very, very liberal with the included toppings. This thing was stacked with a wonderful, meaty chili, cool, crisp slaw, crunchy pickles, and rounded out with fresh onions that added a terrific contrast to the chili and slaw. And the toppings were spread through out the sandwich so that every bite delivered on flavor. They were also generous with the napkins, which is rare these days and very, very much appreciated. The fries were good although I'm not a big fan of the crinkle variety... that said, I do appreciate that you have the option in the app to get them extra crispy. That made for a much better experience. Though they're not my favorite type of fries, these were well cooked, soft on the inside without being mealy like most crinkles are; while having a nice crispy exterior. If I have to have crinkle cut fries, I'd prefer Dairi-O's. I also tried their tzatziki sauce because I love that as a dipping sauce for fries and it was pretty spot on. At first, when I saw it on the menu, my thought was, "what does a burger joint really know about tzatziki sauce?" Turns out, a lot. It was creamy, tangy, with just the right amount of fresh cucumber and dill. Over all, as far as I'm concerned, it's a solid fast food choice that feels less like fast food and more like eating a perfect burger from your backyard grill. We both enjoyed it very much and will be back.

So many places throw on one or two extra and call it a day, but this was a legit pickle situation. For two double combos and a chocolate shake, it was $29 and some change, which felt pretty reasonable. I'd definitely grab it again if I'm in that area. Perfect post-disc golf fuel.
