I tried bbq chicken at a different location and was near the suwanee area so I stopped by here with my mom. We ordered two medium portions of whole chicken, one cheesling flavor and one Galbi flavor. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed because the chicken was not as crispy as expected. The cheesling flavor one was kind of soggy and the powdered part was kind of wet. The galbi was crispier, and both were still juicy inside. Service is great here and the seating area is very comfortable! Love the side of radish they gave us to go with the chicken. read more

Upon entering the business the ambiance was really lively and welcoming. There were music playing and you can just hear how the people here were with their friends and family and enjoying their dinner. The service was also really amazing always checking up on us (asking us how we are doing and refilling waters) and getting us (party of 3) a table pretty easily. There is a variety of flavors in chicken and they are okay. They aren't bad in taste so you will continue eating them but they also aren't anything too memorable. I absolutely love bbq chicken and am so happy that more and more bbq chickens are opening up in ATL! Suwanee has been open for about two years now, but I'm always so used to going to the Duluth location, that I often forget that there's a location literally minutes from my house. I have felt this before, but the Suwanee location definitely does it better than some of the other locations, and I've felt that in taste as well. This time, I ordered take-out -- I ordered the Golden Olive Fried Chicken, Secret Spicy Chicken and the Cheesling Boneless. We also got an order of the rose spicy rice cakes. BBQ has some of the best spicy rice cakes, and I think they might have the best spicy rice cakes in ATL.. The rose one is creamy but not creamy to the point where it suppresses the spicy flavor, but it also has a subtle sweet flavor that I really enjoy. I always get it and it's amazing. The cheesling is also a great choice -- I like to call it crack chicken, because it's dusted with a sweet cheesy powder and it is soooo good. I think it's my one-top flavor here for sure. BBQ is the #1 chicken brand in Korea for a reason -- I do wish they would bring more seasonal menu items that Korea also offers, but I know that's not easy so I gotta be grateful for what we have. Gotta say I was a bit nervous bringing one of my friends here for the first time because BBQ Chicken was currently sitting at 3.5 stars BUT I'm glad I went. Parking: Plentiful. Located in a small plaza, there's lots of shared spaces. Coming in, staff checks your temperature and seats you. We came on a weekday so fortunately we were the only patrons dining. Food: Honey Garlic Wings (M/$14) Galbi Chicken (M/$13) Both of these sauces were really tasty. The medium portion is good for 1 person and each comes with 6-8 pieces. Super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Can't go wrong with either of these. Pickled radish are complimentary and they also brought out some cheese puffs to munch on while waiting. The wait time for chicken was a little long, but not bad. Craft beers are HALF OFF ALL DAY M-F which is great. Service: Great! We had no issues here. FOOD: Rose Ddeok-bboki with cheese ($11+$2 for cheese) - All the craze in Korea right now so was glad to be able to try it in the States. Their ddeok-bboki is honestly one of the best I've had, tbh much better than a lot of the bunsik (Korean snack) restaurants around. The ddeok (rice cake) is not too chewy but not too hard. The spice level was perfect for those who don't want anything too spicy but still want to feel a kick. We added cheese as a topping and they did not hold back! Medium Cheesling Boneless ($13) - The picture was taken after eating a couple pieces so the portion size is actually decent for a medium. I love love the Cheesling, the mix of the powdered cheeses is not as overwhelming in taste as it looks. Highly recommend! I also never order boneless since they're usually tiny portions and dried out, but the ones from bbq are the complete opposite so I always get boneless. read more

Bbq chicken is one of the many new Korean fried chicken restaurants in the metro-Atlanta area and is one of the better places to go in my opinion. The Suwanee location does not disappoint and I was able to go during the lunch special which comes with an order of wings, fries, and drink for just $12-13. We were immediately greeted and seated as we entered the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and provided recommendations for which flavors were popular from the vast assortment of choices. We came during a less busy time, but there was a lot of people coming in and out for takeout. We decided to get the Garlic Soy and BB wings per recommendation. The chicken and fries came out fresh and crispy within around 10 minutes of waiting. The lunch special included 5 humongous wings and a hefty order of fries that were fresh crispy and juicy. I don't have many good Korean options from where I'm from and many of my family members made this place sound promising. We ordered nine things, yet, only two of them arrived within 25 minutes. We wished that the place had some Kimbop so some of us brought some in. They told us that we couldn't bring it in. The manager tried to take our Kimbop away, even after we put it up ourselves.
