The crunch rings through my head so vividly, it is almost as if I am eating it at this moment. Now I want fried chicken again. This spot does Korean fried chicken and they do it really well. I think bb.q Chicken can get quite pricey, but the quality of the food is worth it in my eyes. If you want to save some money, I recommend going for lunch. You can have some chicken and fries for a fair price when you get their combo. Otherwise, you have plenty of options for different flavors/sauces for your either boneless or bone in wings. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with most options. I've had the pleasure of trying a bunch of different flavors and there are certainly some stand out ones that cannot go wrong. The original is no frills, straight up savory crunch. It is simplicity at its finest. I also think the soy garlic is good, it has a nice savory flavor that doesn't overwhelm your taste buds. Lastly, the Gangam Style ones have been a recent favorite of mine. Imagine a black pepper steak from a Chinese takeout, that is your flavor. Although the flavors vary between these chickens, the crunch and juiciness reigns supreme amongst all options. bb.q Chicken has other dishes and sides such as their tteokbokki, which I haven't had a chance to try. Grabbed lunch from here recently and enjoyed my food. I won't comment much on the inside of the restaurant since I was only in there for about 30 seconds, but it looked nice to me :) My to-go order was ready on time (actually, it was ready early, so I'd recommend heading over there before the estimated time if you want your food as fresh as possible) and I was excited to dig into my kimchi fried rice with an egg on top. Overall, I thought it was very tasty - not overly spicy, but it definitely had a little kick to it. My only minor complaint is that it was kind of expensive for the serving size, so I can't imagine getting it frequently, as $15 pre-tax for a small-ish lunch is a little steep for me. Horrible customer service! We order from this particular place a lot. Often times, our order is over $100. We stopped by here after a long drive from TN. Because we were not sure of our ETA, we decided to order to-go. When we got there, we were so exhausted from the drive that we asked if we could eat our food inside the restaurant, where there were only 2 people dining inside today, 1/6/2026 at 2:35pm. The front desk person gave us our order and told us we could not dine in because we ordered "to go". Now, they already added a 10% tip and I was going to add more tip had we been allowed to dine in. We ordered a sweet potato fries, fried dumplings, small spicy original wings, small secret sauce wings, small honey garlic wings, and small soy garlic boneless. His place is in the Bradford shopping area, kind of by the public off of Davis near High House. It is a very spacious place with plenty of tables, not super packed that day, though, even though they have a bar and 3 TVs, right before football on Sunday. Plenty of booths or tables for larger parties. I feel however that they are pricing themselves out of the crowds that may make this place a success. It is expensive for wings. 8 wings are generally 16 bucks, and 16 wings are around 30 dollars. It would be nice if they had game day specials of dollar wings or so, to get people in to taste the crispy wings. This is a problem, however, unless the 25-minute wait time is because we came in early. Also, having a traditional buffalo sauce would satisfy those strict flavor addicts of the sauce, but I digress, not my business. The wings were good, but I would not call their "hot" very hot, more medium. We got the 8 of the Spicy Original (3 flames), the Galbi Hot (2 flames), the Wings of Fire (4 flames), the boneless Soy Garlic, and the boneless Caribbean Spice (1 flame), Fries. - Spicy Original -- Good flavor, no sauce, spice in the batter. Was medium to me, so I go some of the wings of fire sauce to dip in.. this is what I would recommend for most of their sticky wings, because they do not save and are very messy. - Galbi Hot -- Not very hot, and a funky flavor to me and the fam. Again sauce on the side maybe better - Wings of fire -- More like a slow burn at other places. very sticky, and kind of hot, but not mouth burning... sauce on side way to go.. - Soy Garlic -- Decent flavor, crispy - Caribbean Spice -- not spicy, ok flavor, not too messy. - Fries -- It is very hard to get good fries in this area, but these were nice and hot and crispy. Service: We ordered for a scheduled pick up, and our food was ready promptly at the time we requested. The staff was friendly as well on a busy Super Bowl Sunday! Food: We ordered the Hot Spicy, Gangnam Style, Soy Garlic, and Golden Original Wings. All of the wings were delicious and had a nice crunch, despite being a takeout order. The Hot Spicy has a gochujang-like tanginess and a good amount of heat to it. The Gangnam Style wings were super flavorful and definitely the most "complex" tasting. It had a good balance of sweet, salty, peppery, and garlicky flavors and the little veggies on top made a nice addition to the sauce. The Soy Garlic was quite authentic and tasted like the classic soy garlic chicken you'd get in Korea. Last but not least, the Golden Original Wings were crunchy, crispy, and juicy, while still being flavorful. Our favorites were the Soy Garlic and Golden Original, but we'd happily re-order any of the wings we got! Overall: bb.q Chicken is one of the best, if not the best, chicken spot in the Triangle area.
