Just a post to let everyone know Seoul Garden is open and well! Sounds like they switched owners a few weeks ago. in case any locals were missing Korean cuisine, here's the updated menu!

May C.

As a DMV native, I've been spoiled by the variety and quality of Korean food. It took me a while to find a good Korean spot in the Cary area. FOOD I've been here twice with a group and have been able to try a variety of the dishes offered here. Some highlight dishes: bossam (especially the pork, the oyster that came with it were okay too, but nothing crazy), and the stone pot bibimbap. That being said this is still by far one of the better Korean spots in the area. The value is great too. Definitely planning on checking out their lunch menu one of these days. SERVICE The service here is a little inconsistent. The first time we came here, our server was a lady who came to check on our table, made sure all our side dishes were refilled, and overall very friendly. She was not working when we went the second time and the only times the server stopped by was when they gave us the QR, brought out of food and towards the very end when we needed the check. We were looking for some refills during the meal, but no one stopped by. The food and bill came out pretty quick. AMBIANCE You know an Asian spot is going to be GOOD when the place itself isn't all decked out. The interior is a bit run down and plain, which made me a bit hesitant at first, but once you see that much of the clientele were mostly Korean people, we knew we were in a good spot for Korean food.

Love the korean food here. Seoul Garden has great staff and great food, at a very respectable price point. There is plenty of seating in doors, and the staff is all very nice and helpful. Everything we ordered was up to standard and was very generous in portion size and the contents of the food. They did not skimp on meat or seafood, while also providing plenty of noodle. Great experience, would come again.

Decent local place for Korean food A lot less flash than other Korean spots so it attracts a lot more Korean and oriental clients. Decent food. Good service. I like it.

Beef bulgogi, rice, and banchan delivered.

Galbi and Soft Tofu Seafood Soup were delicious, sticky rice perfectly cooked,, generous banchan. Very good. I recommend for quick delivery meal.

Spicy nengmyun

I found my nengmyun (cold noodle) place is NC, finally! I love seeing traditional korean food in NC. There is no hiding ingredients or altering the taste to adjust others- proudly presenting the true taste of korea. Taste: ordered bulgogi & nengmyun combo for $16. That is pretty good deal for two entre. Enough for two people. Nengmyun was legit. Only thing that was missing was mustard and vinegar condiment- spicy and savory sauce ( also cold broth version available). My son ordered Jjajangmyun, Chinese black been sauce noodle was delicious- although the noodle was unique it was very good.

The food was so good and it came pretty fast. We'll definitely come back to try more items on the menu. But the reason this place is getting only 3 stars (all for the food), is because I didn't love the environment of that place, it's such a cute place from outside, but when you walk in you are welcomed with a very open floor plan that is very poorly furnished, and the staff were mopping the place, we weren't sure if they Are closing or open for business! So that's were they lost the first star. The second star was lost because when I was trying to place my order and speaking with the hostess while my daughter was sitting in my lap and acting up, the waitress grabbed her hand and said firmly "don't do that" which shocked me! I was speechless and what she did was totally unacceptable and disrespectful.

Haemul Udon Bokkeum
Kelly C.

Kind, delicious, and friendly staff, but seriously lacking in the ambience/decor area. The food was overall delicious. Some in my party thought the fried rice was a little salty whereas others thought it was seasoned perfectly. With that in mind, I recommend going with two to three other people to share the food order. I thought the Haemul Udon Bokkeum spicy level was low enough to enjoy. Be aware that the spicy flavor builds and increases. The more you eat the spicier the dish gets. The squid and octopus was over cooked, but the mussels were really good. I didn't care for the udon noddles and would recommend the rice cakes instead. The wait staff is very friendly and busy. Don't expect them to keep checking on you. This is something we really liked about the experience. Prices was it is around $13 - $16. I think very reasonable. We would go back to try other menu items.

Service was wonderful, check in on the Yelp app ahead of time so you don't have to wait as long…read morebecause this place gets BUSY! For a good reason as well. Even though this time we did not see the robot which is always cool we did have excellent service. Our waitress was quick and attentive, she always helped in any way she could and make great recommendations. It's pricey but for a nice before surgery for my kiddo, totally worth it! Food is wonderful, we did the AYCE silver meals, the youngest did not eat enough for that to been worth the price but the gentleman made up for it. I would love for them to offer more side options or sauce options. The place was pretty clean, busy and a great place for date night, family night, or group get togethers

I came here when I was visiting my in laws, so naturally, I wanted to expose them to KBBQ. Unfortunately, I picked this place because a lot of reviews said its the best and allat, when in truth, this place is one of the worst KBBQ I have ever visited. Not only they stopped serving lettuce wrap (sure, they have it in the menu but they didn't stock it because their lettuce supplier increased the price or whatever), they did not offer any other wrap options like a decent kbbq should have (rice wrap, radish wrap, or shisho leave...etc). The meat quality? It's the cheapest cut you could ever get. The kalbi cut is so thin and tasted old (spoiler alert, they should be thicker and higher quality..), the other unseasoned meat cut is lower quality too. The seasoned meat were so bad I had hard time enjoying it. The bulgogi did not taste like a propee bulgogi and once again, tasted old like it has been in the fridge for too long. The spicy bulgogi was so grainy and not spicy at all, almost like they're using low quality gochugaru. Honestly, you will be much better off buying your own ingredients at h-mart or any asian grocery than going to this place. The only saving grace was the kind server who tends us often. 10/10 will not recommend.

Grabbed lunch from here recently and enjoyed myself!…read more The staff were polite and helpful throughout the meal. My wife and I ended up splitting the kimchi pancake as an appetizer, and we both got the beef bibimbap for our entrees. We didn't end up getting any interesting beverages this time, but there were a few draft and bottled beers available as well as soju, sake, and other variations of alcohol :) Anyway, our kimchi pancake arrived pretty quickly, and it was very tasty! I liked how the green onion was integrated throughout, and the dipping sauce was very flavorful. It looked like it may be a bit spicy but in fact was sweet-ish :) Our bibimbaps arrived soon after, served in hot stone bowls. In addition, they provided six different small side dishes, all of which were very tasty! I really enjoyed the variety, as they ranged from pasta salad to kimchi. Honestly, the bibimbap was maybe my least favorite part of the meal, which surprised me. It wasn't bad at all, with plenty of tasty veggies included, but it didn't blow me away. Maybe I should have added more of the bottled sauce they provided :) Overall, we both really enjoyed our lunch at Okja and would definitely come back!

We also got the: - Seafood Pancake (crispy flour pancake with squid, shrimp, crab meat & scallions): Definitely my favorite dish- perfectly crispy and simultaneously fluffy, lots of well-cooked seafood. - Tang Soo Yook (battered deep fried pork, drizzled in sweet & sour sauce): I've never had this dish before, but I will admit I imagined it a bit different. It was more batter forward so the pork did get lost, but the batter itself was super chewy and almost tapioca-like, which was interesting. I liked the sauce, but I wish it came separately for dipping as the pork did lose its crunch. - Bi-Naeng (cold buckwheat noodles with pickled daikon, cucumber, pear, hard boiled egg, beef & spicy sauce): So refreshing! Loved the chew of the noodles and how complementary the spicy sauce was with the sweet pickled toppings. The beef was on the tough side with not a ton of flavor though. Ambiance is really nice and spacious, there are two sides: one with the bar and booths, another with wooden benches. Service was surprisingly fast. Lots of parking. 8/10 would recommend!

We were seated right away, and the customer service set the tone from the start. Our server was warm, attentive, and especially great at explaining how the dim sum works here. She did not just tell us; she actually demonstrated it, shared cooking tips, and made us feel completely comfortable jumping in. She checked on us often, and the rest of the staff was also wonderfully attentive without being overbearing. The food came out quickly. One of the best parts of the meal was being able to order steak, chicken, shrimp, and lots of vegetables, then cook everything just the way we liked it. It made the meal feel interactive, fun, and special. For my daughter and me, it was not just dinner -- it was an experience we got to create together. A heads-up for first-timers: there is a two-hour table limit since it is all-you-can-eat, and they do charge a fee for excessive waste. As long as you are reasonable and order what you can realistically eat, you should be totally fine. $39 per person. Thanks to Five Spice for a memorable mother-daughter experience.
