    salmon niçoise salad

Bazille is always a safe lunch spot in Stonebriar mall. Stopped in with some friends after some shopping and it got the spot. We had the salmon niçoise salad, soup, sandwiches and salad with steak. Everything was cooked well. The service wasn't as attentive, but aside from that, everything else was great. Nice cocktail/wine menu.

Service was great! Bekah 5/5! She's a superstar! Overall the food wasn't terrible. The salmon was overcooked and both dishes were on the saltier side.

I ordered the Caesar salad , there is a hint of anchovies at the right amount which I love , and the chicken cooked and done right. I also love the crispy Parmesan cheese. My son had a crispy chicken sandwich, he is usually very picky but for this one he said that it was full of "yummynies " , very flavorful in a sophisticated kind of way ( his words!). I went there on a Monday around noon and got seated right away , Rocky, our server was pretty quick and very attentive . The place was surprisingly quiet with nice music in the background. This place is a hit for my 13 year old kid! We also like that we can see the chefs making the the food :)

Have been here many times while shopping at Northpark. Their food is always top notch. I especially love the ginger sesame salad with shrimp added. My friend loves their cilantro lime chicken tacos. They have some really good choices. It is a great atmosphere and great service. I usually go for lunch but have been for dinner too and it was great.

As we arrived in Dallas we are looking for something quick within walking distance to our hotel, which is at the local mall. Typically, I stray away from mall food, but it's Nordstrom's... ‍and plus the restaurant had a lot of nice reviews so we decided to check out Bazille. Bazille is a small French style cafe within Nordstrom's. They have a fully stocked bar, full menu and other trinkets like sauces seasonings for purchases. I first noticed the open kitchen view from our table which is always cool to see. Reassures proper handling and cleanliness of the kitchen. Upon receiving the feature menu, I was immediately drawn to the Aussie Lamb and Tuscan Vegetables dish. The description of the dish, whipped ricotta, pistachio gremolata, roasted potatoes, petite tomato and spinach, it all read FLAVOR. And that is delivered on!! The lamb was well seasoned with a nice crust from the grill. The roasted potatoes were excellent. They had a lemon and herb flavor that paired perfectly with the lamb. The petite tomatoes, spinach and pistachio gremolata was a nice touch that added a nutty, acidic flair. There could have been a bit more of those add on. And the whipped ricotta added a nice creamy touch that brought it all together. Excellent dish and excellent price point, only $24. We also ordered the crab bisque. It was very creamy nice balanced flavors. I was hoping for a bit of crab chunks on top which it didn't have but still really good.

WOW! My sister, niece and myself hosted a bridal shower at your amazing restaurant this past Saturday, and we have never experienced such amazing service, delicious gourmet food, and a perfect, modern, fun atmosphere! General Mgr, Josh Bland, Assistant GM, Walter Gaskins communicated so well with us, gave us many menu options, and were simply top notch! We had the best server, Clint, who was dedicated to our party and could not have done a better job. We met Chef, Richard Marquina to offer our praises and gratitude to him and his team. I highly recommend Bazille for any occasion and especially for a special event! The love and sincerity shined through in each of these kind and hard working individuals, who simply went above and beyond to make sure this was a special event. Thank you! May God bless each of them and their special restaurant!

The decor is classic and doesn't have much fanfare which I think fits the French vibe. We sat outside on the patio and even though it was scorching outside, because of the tent-style covering and air conditioning the place was kept cool. The patio is dog friendly as well. When we got there the host was with us immediately and found us a table. I'm thinking they might've also been a manager because they were walking throughout the restaurant checking on everyone even though they weren't too busy. Really liked how diligent they were. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about our server. He was very nice and gave good recommendations when asked, but we barely saw the guy throughout our meal. The host/manager that was there came more than once to check on us and bring us anything we needed, but if he wasn't there I think we wouldn't have had anyone else come up to us besides taking the orders, dropping them off, and bringing us the check (which we had to hunt them down for). The food itself was really good thankfully. The duck was delicious and my partner loved his croque madame! I had a bite of his and immediately got jealous because I had been craving brunch and his dish fit that theme perfectly, unlike mine. I left nothing on my plate whereas he couldn't finish his because it was too much heavy food for him. We also got the truffle deviled eggs as a starter and they had great flavor, though the filling was a little dry for my taste. Nothing wrong with it since it was just a matter of personal preference. I don't know if we'll be back since the service was inconsistent, but at least it was a good meal.

The good: - Not busy - Server Caleb is quite pleasant - Scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes were tasty - Yogurt Parfait was tasty but way too big. It was served in a large bowl. Way overkill. The not so great: - My wife's meal took over an hour to come out. Ordered just after 10 am and came out at 11:08 am - The Croque Madam needs to be removed from the menu. A French person would have been horrified at this dish In summary over three meals in the last 30 days, the food is hit and miss and the Kitchen is very slow. I love the location but I'm not sure we'll come back to eat at Toussaint. ---------- We mostly enjoyed our meals here. This review is for two visits that we've made here in the last 30 days. Our first visit here was on May 9, following an afternoon concert up the block at the Majestic Theatre. We popped in here about 5:30 pm and we shared a meal. They were able to do a kitchen split of the French dip meal. It was really tasty. The bartender worked the bar and the entire dining room. Must have been short handed that night but he did great. This weekend (May 29), we ended up staying at the Saint Elm Hotel which occupies the same building. We ended up at the Toussaint for dinner one night. We each had the French Onion Soup and we shared the Braised Short Rib dinner. The French Onion Soup was very good. It's in my top 3 of all time! The Braised Short Rib dinner - kitchen split, came out and presented great. Unfortunately, it was not served hot. It was barely warm. We sent it back for reheating. It came back out about 15 minutes later. The mashed potatoes, mushroom and gravy were warm. The short rib was not. We ate it cool anyway as we had a show to get to and I didn't really want to send it back again. That said, the potatoes, mushrooms and gravy had great flavor. The above all said for this dinner - I'd still come back to try other dinner dishes. Not sure my wife would agree.

First, you walk in and you're introduced to a small, charming, and warm space that looks straight out of a children's fairytale. Don't forget to grab a little surprise card (child friendly and adult friendly) either before you sit down or on your way out. Cute conversation starters and reflection inspiration! My objective of the night was dessert, so I didn't even bother to look at the savory souffles. While waiting for our server, my eyes were captivated by the twinkling lights around me (in the indoor space) and the sight and sounds of the chefs whisking away the souffles before they went in the oven. I was expecting Ratatouille's Remy to pop out. Anyway, as we gazed through the dessert menu, we thought we were enlightened already, but it only got better -- the specials: Strawberry and Pistachio. I'm regretting only getting the Pistachio because it was just so dang good. Will definitely be back. Austin is missing out. Oh man... what a let down this visit was for us…read more My wife and I have come here at least once a year for the past 3 years, and we've always loved this place. The food has always been great and the experience was something we looked forward to. That's why we chose to celebrate an early Valentine's Day here -- to avoid the crazy rush and the preset menu. But this time? Completely different experience. We got seated right away because of our reservation, which was great. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come by -- no big deal. I ordered an Old Fashioned and honestly... the bartender needs some help. It came out full of crushed ice and tasted watered down. I sent it back, and the second one was basically the same drink with more whiskey thrown in. At that point, I just let it go. Then things just kept going downhill. After about 20 minutes, we realized we hadn't gotten any bread. We asked the waiter and he said he'd check. Another 10 minutes go by and he comes back saying, "Still no bread," and drops off the wrong appetizer -- we had only ordered a salad. He takes it back, and it's another 15 minutes before our actual salad shows up. Still no bread. At one point, we could literally see him arguing with someone in the back about why we didn't get bread yet. Not exactly something you want to watch during a date night. The food, when it finally came out, was delicious. No complaints there. But it took forever. By the time we were eating, it was about 45 minutes until closing... and we had gotten there two hours earlier. Then comes the payment situation. The waiter brings the check back and casually tells me I gave him two credit cards and he "just picked the brighter one." I look down and he had handed me someone else's credit card while mine was still sitting in the book. That's not a small mistake. Overall, it just felt unorganized and sloppy this time. I don't know if they're short staffed or just getting too busy for their own good, but it was disappointing, especially for a place we've genuinely enjoyed in the past. Hoping it was just an off night... but it definitely made us think twice about coming back.
