We love Bazbeaux Pizza! Our go-to pizza is the BBQ pizza and it is delicious every time. The sauce has a hint of sweetness which we like and it goes good with the chicken and onions. We have also ordered the margherita pizza and although it's good too, I feel like what's missing are the chunks of mozzarella. It's still another good pizza though! Next time, we plan to make our own so we can have all of the toppings we want. We also have dined in once during lunch and it was not busy. Usually dinner time is packed when we carry out. I've been eating at Bazbeaux going on 20 years now and have eaten in Broad Ripple, downtown and Carmel. It's the best pizza in town. Today's adventure led me to a pizza place called Bazbeaux Pizza ! It was in such a beautiful area in Carmel, IN. Right near part of the Monon walking trail and the arts district. There were so many absolutely stunning sculptures in the area ! The statues of the people were so lifelike. As for the restaurant, we sat outside in the outdoor seating area. I ordered a 10" Greek pizza. It had spinach, black olives, and feta cheese ! It was absolutely delicious. Feta cheese is one of my all time faves and I definitely recommend it on pizza ! Definitely recommend trying this place out. They have a ton of neat pizza combos, plus other items you can choose from. read more

TL;DR: Had a poor service experience. Pizza was better than fast food, but not mind blowing. Not planning a return trip. I really wanted to like this place, it smells great whenever I've passed by and decided to try it on the way home from a trip. Unfortunately, my experience was very negative. Showed up and the hostess said there was a wait for outside of about 15 minutes. We asked if inside seating was available now and was told it wasn't even though multiple tables were clean and empty. Whatever, 15 minutes and I wanted to sit outside anyway since it was a nice evening. After 20-25 minutes I overhear one of the employees ask another "did you tell them?" (the answer was no, no one had talked to us). After another couple minutes the hostess tells us that people weren't doing their jobs and clearing the tables outside... annoyed that we waited longer just to sit at one of the inside tables that's been empty for 20+ minutes. Even more annoyed when the next two people to come in after us (the first maybe 2-3 minutes after we sat down) get sat outside. Really wanted to try the andouille sausage but they were out. No ones fault, but it definitely didn't help the course of the evening. At this point it's getting close to closing and I need to pick something else. Decided to go for an Italian sausage and as it's very close to closing now just ask for it to go. The food: The food was good, something better than fast food pizza, but not what I'd call great pizza either. The crust was well cooked, sauce taste was 3.5/5, Italian sausage taste 3/5. On the bright side, the server who did finally take our order and brought out our pizza was very polite. Overall, it was the service leading up to ordering that is really driving the low rating. Perhaps with different toppings I'd like the pizza better, but as it stands probably won't be trying again for a long while. read more

My friend had recently told me that she thought Bazbeaux has the best spinach salad she's ever had. We planned a lunch together Friday and I suggested Bazbeaux. I ended choosing the Cobb salad and my friend selected Barbecue Chicken pizza. I also ordered a Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat beer on draft. Everything was delicious! Our server was fantastic, service was quick, and prices are fair. The pizza was so good I've since gone back to pick one up for take out! I also tried to find the beer in a store without luck ~ guess I'll have to go back to Bazbeaux for more. The Broad Ripple location is just awesome. I'm celiac and DF and their GF/DF pizza was so good and they took extra precautions to make it safe. A special thanks to Drew in the kitchen! Came here on a busy and sunny Saturday evening. Was excited to try it because I've only ever seen this place busy. The line was out the door, but, to order take out, you could just walk past the line to the bar and order from there. I ordered the TCHOUPITOULAS pizza and we walked around the area while we waited. After we picked up the pizza, we took it over to the Sun King patio to enjoy the sunny day. As far as the pizza goes, the 12" size was just right for 2 people. The flavors were great on the Cajun style pizza--a solid 4 out of 5. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the crust. It was thin, but unfortunately it lacked some of the salty, breadiness of the thin crusts I've had before. I'd recommend this place to eat on a nice sunny patio, there or nearby. read more

The Quattro Formaggio is a longtime favorite of mine and a go to for every order. I recently discovered the Genova and it has too become a favorite. The pizzas are good quality and if you are looking for specialty pizza in the Indy area this is your place! It was a Friday night and they were busy, but my pizza was ready in 30 just as promised. Food was on the agenda but we didn't know where until we noticed the great location of Bazbeaux's outdoor dining area. I've had their pizza before, it's always been delicious. Service has always been great too! We ordered Tchoupitoulas which included shrimp. First time having pizza with seafood. We ate it all, no piece was left behind. The create your own half was ham, bacon, pepperoni, and banana peppers. Note that they aren't light handed on the toppings, thank you!! We also ordered an oatmeal pecan cookie. It was loaded with pecans and had a great buttery flavor. I'd come back just for the cookie. Lastly, thanks for having cider options. Some ciders are too sweet for my liking. Bazbeauxs is one of my favorite pizza places in Indy. This was my first time at the Carmel location. Like most places nowadays, they were short staffed but the food was very good and the service was pretty good. The man who was helping seat people must've been having an off day because he was incredibly rude to everyone who came in to put their names on the waitlist. My husband and I sat at a table near the host stand so we had to listen to him give attitude to everyone walking in the door. The food was the real highlight of the evening. We love their Mediterranean pizza, which comes with chorizo, feta cheese and roasted red peppers. I also had a small house salad and I always enjoy their house vinaigrette. We split a 12" pizza and had a couple pieces to bring home. Customer service could use some improvements but I'd recommend coming here because the pizza is very good. read more

This was my first visit to the Carmel location and at 6PM on a Friday, it was already busy. We were told it would be about a 20 minute wait for a table, but we were actually seated in less than 10 minutes. Our server was great and somehow managed to stay on top of a rather large number of tables very well. It was really busy, but she managed to keep beverages filled and checked on us just enough to see if we needed anything. I also appreciated that she asked if we wanted anything else before asking if we were ready for boxes and then the check. I had the house salad with house vinaigrette dressing. The salad is simple, but fresh and good, with just enough shaved Parmesan to add flavor without being a cheese laden salad that defeats the purpose of having a salad before pizza. I also tried some of the fresh mozzarella appetizer which was like a caprese salad with sun dried tomatoes instead of fresh. I love this idea for winter! It worked so much better than trying to use the sad pink tomatoes we can get in winter. The fresh basil, mozzarella and tomato flavors did make me think of summer though. I decided to try a different pizza this time rather than go with one of my standbys. I had the Roma pizza with a wheat crust and it was delicious. Prosciutto, ricotta, olives and green peppers. It was a delicious combination and I'm looking forward to my leftovers tomorrow. Parking is easy in the free garage across the street if there aren't any spots on the street. This location is also right on the Monon and there is bike parking in the garage as well. read more

I always forget to come here! Why, oh why?! I love their pizza. It's quality and the menu is huuge. I'm a huge fan of the thin crust and I've ordered everything from cheese and veggie pizza to the shrimp pizza (I know, I know- such a bold choice). You can order a pizza half and half with toppings. The salads are delicious and I believe there's desserts as well. There's a bomb lunch deal too- you can stop in and grab a pre-made slice, which is perfect for when you're in a hurry. The outdoor patio at this location is perfectly placed on the Monon and is perfect for people watching. If you come dine, stop into Silver in the City next door for super cool Indy gifts too (fav store alert!). read more

Bazbeaux has been a staple for pizza since I was going to the Broad Ripple location in high school. I've never had a bad pie there and I love the house salad with Kalamata olives and freshly shaved Parmesan. They've got a pretty wide beer/wine selection and a pizza for every possible taste preference. Even the gluten free pizza crust is incredibly crisp and tasty. The service is normally "not terrible", and the servers are generally kind and trying their hardest while being stretched pretty thin, so I can't really fault them personally for that. read more

Great little pizza place in the Carmel Art District. It was intimate for an afternoon bite. They have slices you can grab if your pressed for time. They also have the option to dine in. I had the "Neptune" pizza with shrimp, crab, black olives, green peppers and snap peas. It was light and very tasty. The 10 inch is under $11 and very filling.
