I still stand by my original review: When I'm in the mood for pizza, I won't go to Bazbeaux. I went 10 years ago and I wasn't impressed with the pizza, especially the crust. Now, a decade later, I still don't like it. We got a 10-inch pepperoni pizza, and a 10-inch Pizza Alla Quattro Formaggio, which I was initially excited about because it has ricotta on it. (I'm a big ricotta-dollops-on-pizza fan.) Both were just fine. One of the four cheeses on the Quattro Formaggio looked like it was cheddar? That's certainly ... a choice. I never, ever salt my food, but I almost wanted to add salt to my pizza slices, because despite both of them having lots of flavorful things on them, both were kind of bland. I will, however, go to Bazbeaux for their creamy basil dressing. Dang, now that is good! Dipping the whack crust in the basil dressing made it a little more palatable. I also got a small Caesar salad, which was just OK. The dressing came on the side, which, to me, is silly for a Caesar salad. A true Caesar needs to have the dressing fully incorporated. The dressing is a main component, not an optional side. This Bazbeaux is good for groups, but the parking can be killer. There is almost no street parking because it's downtown Carmel, but if you're lucky, you'll find a spot somewhere nearby. read more

We were in a great spot to walk to other nearby locations after dinner for drinks. GREAT PIZZA IN CARMEL, INDIANA ============================= My husband and I had some free time while the family worked, so we decided to check out Carmel, Indiana on Thursday, August 7, 2025. We walked around a bit and saw a really nice police officer with her dog. We asked her what place she recommended for lunch. That's how we ended up at Bazbeaux Pizza. Came here Friday at 6pm so we knew it would be busy. What we didn't expect was to wait 45 minutes for two pizzas. We had like a ten minute wait for a table, got our drinks quickly and waited and waited. Pizza finally came at 7:10. And our server, once we had our drinks never came back until we were a few slices in with our pizza. Not the greatest service or speed but it was Friday. Other tables I could tell, had been waiting for a while too. It was a lovely evening on Main Street so we had plenty people watching to do. My two boys did ok waiting but I could tell the hangryness was quickly approaching. By the time we got our pizza our drinks had been watered down. That was a bummer. We've been to Bazbeaux several times, but this time it was disappointing. The BBQ pizza was cooked perfectly, but the cheese was very thick and there were several large chunks of chicken on it. The flavor of the BBQ sauce tasted like pizza sauce mixed with BBQ sauce. The dressing and croutons on the Cesar salad was great, but I was hoping for some more leafy greens. We weren't able to order carry out online, but we called in and our order was ready in 25 minutes. The customer service was great, but this location could use some updates to the interior. read more

Bazbeaux is probably one of the most popular pizza places for Indy area, and for good reason! It was pretty hopping on a Saturday evening, so service was pretty reasonable for the crowd size. We got a nice big table for our party of 5, and it didn't feel too loud inside. I got the Stromboli and it was pretty generous with the toppings. I had two meals worth of food there. First thing, the pizza was very good. Fresh ingredients and the crust was excellent. Service was not standard at all and below average. We came in on a Tuesday night at 6pm and sat outside. The 1st round of drinks & our food order were prompt...then we waited 25 min for another round of drinks. Our sever did not return, so I went inside to ask if I could order drinks at the bar. I was told someone would be out to my table...another 10 min. I went back inside finally ran into our server who said she would be out to the table...well that didn't happen. She walked by and helped other guests, cleaned tables and never asked again until we said we were ready for our check. That was the entire meal with one round of drinks. Pizza is great and doesn't weigh you down. Beer selection is always changing but they have something for everyone. Wine selection is solid. POTM is a welcomed addition to their regular lineup of options. Sandwiches are great, salads are great. Service is always great! Nice place to sit and watch people enjoy the monon. read more

Bazbeaux's is one of our favorite pizza places in Indy, and we especially love this location. I love to come here when it's nice out and sit on the patio. Our favorite pizza is the Quattro Formaggio, it's so unique and really good. My only downside is this location is pretty busy, so service is sometimes slow and lacking. This used to be my favorite pizza place but based on my experience and some of the other recent reviews, they need to get an entirely new staff. My to go order was already late and then they apparently dropped one of my pizzas and had to remake it. They said it would take 5 minutes which seemed unlikely. 20 minutes later, I walked up after I saw them put a pizza in their warming rack. Absolutely delicious! Very fresh ingredients and a small was enough for two meals for me. I got the Bazbeaux Special, which is sun dried tomatoes, basil and cheese plus and I added sausage to it. All the flavors were there and it was very good! Crust is a thinner crust but not too thin. Nice crunch and I'm pretty sure it's made in a wood fired grill, which is how I prefer my pizza. We had a fairly large party and they were able to accommodate us at lunch time easily. Our waiter was very good, even if he was practically serving the entire restaurant by himself. They even packaged up the leftovers for you, which I didn't expect. I will definitely be back and this was my last local pizza place I wanted to try before deciding who has the best pizza in Indy. Omg the pizzas!! Wow just so delicious and filling. We made two meals out of each pizza. While I suddenly can't recall the names of our pizzas I will crystal clearly recall always on yum they were. Loved their patio dining area. If you are a people watching person definitely sit on the patio. We reached 45 minutes before closing time but they never made us feel that they were closing soon and we needed to rush with order and eating our meal. Server was courteous and helpful with picking out pizza since this was our first time. Pizzas were cooked to perfection and quantity of toppings was perfection. Need to go back soon! Service needs attention: when a standard pizza order takes more than 55 minutes to reach the table, management should instruct staff to check on the guests periodically. Inform the guests of the delay, and what the establishment is doing to minimize it. If the delay is unreasonable, as in our case, offer complimentary beverages or discount the check. We live 20 minutes from Bazbeaux which means we pass approximately 42 million other pizza options on the way- and it's still worth it! Bazbeaux has been our "special occasion" pizza for decades. My mom and I love to split a Neptune and a Genova, while my husband prefers a pepperoni bacon. We have loved Bazbeaux in Broad Ripple for ages, and have never had a bad meal there. Harder to get to since we moved north. 3/4/25 we ordered their best pizza, a 16" Quattro Fromagio from the Carmel restaurant. Put the order in at 1:30 or so, for pick up at 4:30. At pickup, something just didn't seem right...the pizza was barely warm, but heading to a party I did not have time to mess around. Upon further review, the pizza was NOT fresh. The pizza was cool, cheese was flat, etc. Appears to have sat somewhere for at least a couple of hours. I suspect that they screwed up and made the order too soon, but went ahead and took my money with a smile on their face without saying a word. My advice, avoid the Carmel BazBeaux. Go to the other two options if you have any choice whatsoever. read more

I recently have returned to Bazbeaux Carmel and it was pretty much thin crust pizza heaven! It's a popular place so you will most likely have to wait for a table, but there's plenty of places to walk around and explore while doing so. Parking is easy in any of the garages or along Main Street. We are not regular visitors in the summer and love sitting outside to people watch the monon goers. 100% recommend waiting for a table outside! The Caesar salad was good and enjoy for 2 people. It's a creamy Caesar dressing and shaved Parmesan flakes on top. I would get it again. My boyfriend got the Colossus pizza and it was SO. GOOD. Super thin crunchy crust and basically a deluxe pizza. I will probably get that myself next time. I got the Get Fresh pizza and I subbed tomato sauce in (which is suppose to be sauceless). I wouldn't recommend... it was super heavy with the olive oil and balsamic on it and was meant to be without sauce. The arugula on top was a little overwhelming too. BUT this place isn't a fresh Italian pizza kinda place, it's good thin crust American. Definitely try the Colossus and sit outside if you have the chance! Staff is always super great. We love Bazbeaux Pizza! Our go-to pizza is the BBQ pizza and it is delicious every time. The sauce has a hint of sweetness which we like and it goes good with the chicken and onions. We have also ordered the margherita pizza and although it's good too, I feel like what's missing are the chunks of mozzarella. It's still another good pizza though!
