I communicated with him in May, we settled on a menu, the logistics, etc. I sent him a $200 deposit for what was going to be a total of $450 for a taquiza for 40 people. One week prior to the event which was held on June 12th, I text him to make sure we were good to go. No response. I text him twice a day every day for a week and he did not respond. I called several times and it went straight to voicemail. I even had other people call or text from different numbers to see if this would entice him to respond. Nothing. What's done is done, I asked him for my money back but I'm sure I won't hear back. I can't stress this enough: Please do not conduct business with this man.

That kind of hospitality means a lot, and they handled it with so much kindness and ease. And the food? Ridiculous. In the best way. I had the egusi, plantains, and fufu, and I finished it in what had to be about seven minutes flat. Honestly, I'm still shocked there weren't bite marks on the container. That food was so good it nearly had me questioning my table manners. Every bite was comforting, rich, and deeply satisfying. What I loved most was that Jollof Kitchen felt like more than just a food stop. It's a food truck, so the seating available is probably going to vary a lot based on where you encounter them. At the Fremont farmer's market there were a couple of tables shared between this and another truck, and since we were having a late-ish lunch towards the end of the market, we had no problem getting a table (but there was no chairs).
