We were told wait 30 mins and it was over an hour and the man kept calling and saying 40 mins, ten more etc. So after lots of waiting, he shows up and says his grinder can't cut through the rubber casing of the lock, so he tried drilling the key hole, to no success. He gets in the car to leave and says he will send someone else who has the right attachment in the grinder and leaves, then texts my friend that the other person can't come until tomorrow. Not only was the quote $250, twice as much as the second locksmith we had to call, but we had wasted over two hours waiting on a locksmith and not getting the bike unlocked. At least we didn't have to pay for the failed attempt to unlock a cheap Ulock. Next, we called Nova Locksmith service, and got he lock cut open in 5 mins. #mostEntertainingFridayNightSinceCurfew

The actual locksmith came on time and actually tried his very best to make the lock fit my needs. Our commercial space needs a special ADA compliant handle from the inside and he was able to alter my original door to fit. Too bad I'm not changing any lock anytime soon otherwise I would love to use them again!

I called on a Sunday to see if they were open. The guy on the phone said to come over. I went and…read morewaited a little for the store to open because the guy on the phone was not the same guy who opened the store. I found out later that there's two locations and the store owner was the one I spoke to on the phone and the guy who opened up the shop was an employee who lived just a few blocks away. Bryan, the employee, was blue-collar friendly and we chatted it up. I came in there to get a 2004 Honda CR-V key copy made. I didn't realize the key I had, had a chip in it and so the keys aren't cheap. It took some programming with my car and definitely needed a specialist to make the copy. Bryan knew his stuff. He even knew that the cable in my car that he needed to hook up the key-programming device to wasn't the right/original cable so he replaced my cable with one that would work with his device, at no charge. Although it took some time, because I had the wrong cable initially, Bryan was patient and diligent to get the work done. The key cost $80, but I know if I went to the dealer, it would cost at least $120, so I know I got a good deal. I looked around and saw something else I wanted. My dad who lives in Hawaii needed an extra garage door opener. I saw one in the store and Bryan was helpful in getting the exact same one. He told me to ask my dad for a picture of the garage door opener. In about 2 minutes of getting the picture, Bryan was able to find the exact same garage door opener and was knowledgeable on how to program it. That was $40, which is cheaper than at other places. This place has a bunch of knick-knacks and Bryan is friendly, knowledgeable, and freely offers up information/advice that may help you with what you need done. I'd definitely come back here again!

I met Slavik / AXA Construction through my broker. Slavik from the beginning was very thoughtful,…read morethorough and practical. He's not a contractor who is going to overcharge you for the sake of it, and on top of it, his work is top notch. For example, in a walk through, he caught a bunch of errors that another contractor did and fixed them for me. I triple bid a bathroom demo and Slavik came in at a very competitive price amongst the three. He explains all the things that needs to happen, why and the cost implications. He's very transparent. When I met with other contractors, they pointed out the same things, and actually whenever I inquired about a couple extra bits that Slavik pointed out that they hadn't, they admitted those things were true and they corrected themselves. Anyways, safe to say I went with Slavik at the end of the day and he ended up also doing a bunch of building work for us (roof repair, foundation work, etc.). He knows what he's doing and he is very reliable and thorough and he is very professional. He listens to your concerns and he adjusts his approach based on them. For example, I was price sensitive for a new piece of hardware, and he found a cheaper alternative for me that was within my price range, while still achieving what I needed. Overall, he's very responsive, respectful and diligent. He's also a really good guy - he'll fix things free of charge if it's something quick and easy while he's there. He even came by to fix something urgent at my place on his day off! If you have a reno job, go with Slavik!! He'll get the job done and he will do it well!

They renovated the lower floor of…read moreour house, and even though the project was only about 1,000 sq ft, it involved some pretty major plumbing, mechanical, electrical and structural upgrades. Along the way, we found out our old sewer system did not pass inspection, so Victor also helped coordinate a full main sewer line replacement. That turned into a complicated job because of the existing and new underground pipes and structures, but he handled it well and kept things moving. The team also did a great job dealing with the different Daly City inspections. I especially appreciated that Victor was not afraid to ask questions or challenge comments when something seemed unclear, while still keeping the project on track and looking out for the owner's perspective. Throughout the construction, the crew was patient, reliable, and punctual. We could hear our garage door open at 8 a.m. every morning and knew they were there and ready to work! Thank you again!

Chatted with "Art" upon entry who gave us a brief history of the shop. They are family/woman owned and have been in business for decades! In addition to making copies of keys, they have an extensive collection of doorknobs, locks, doorbells and more! The key was made within minutes--I was able to pay cash, and it was $10 out the door. They are located right on El Camino, and have a dedicated parking area so you don't have to worry about parking on the main street, if you don't want to.
