Jeff didn't hesitate to help me personally by checking the tire to see if it could be repaired, unfortunately it couldn't be fixed.

If you let them do their job and they give you a quote , you have e the choice to do it or don't. I've worked on diesel trucks for a majority of my life and newer gas vehicles are just not my thing. I took my 2012 Tahoe here for an accelerator position sensor problem. When reviewing it they told me the voltage correlation was off and that's what was causing the code, the suggested fix per their research and mechanic was to swap the pedal with a new sensor in. Did that and the code came back, but you know what I didn't do? Whine about it . I came back and talked with the service advisors. They rolled the previous diag cost in to another diag. Eventually after a lot of digging , and even breaking out an oscilloscope they found the problem was 2 pins in the connector to the computer not passing signal correctly. They re-pinned the bad pins and I haven't had a problem since. Since then they have done a full exhaust on this vehicle, and update to my corvette, a full exhaust, brakes, parking brake, boost tubes and intercooler, and headlight install on my f250, custom exhaust on my Cadillac. Not to mention countless odds and ends on these vehicles. If you think you know better than a person who does this work on what your car needs, do it yourself. You have the option to ignore any suggested maintenance they suggest. You also have an option to work with them and identify priority items. Here's a great example, the turbo in my f250 is going to eventually ceap the bed. When working on it they discovered oil in the charge pipe which is a tell tale sign that oil is getting passed through the turbo and. Collecting in the charge pipe. Diagnoses says replace the turbo. However I asked ... how much time do I have ? How bad is it? Knowing damn well the answer as I previously stated .... I've worked in diesels for years. They said depending on use it could be 6 months or two years. They also said that if it fails it will ruin the motor. They are correct on all of those statements. Turbos aren't cheap, the labor associated with a turbo change is t cheap because the process states to lift the cab off the frame ... so I developed a plan. I got the part number they suggested for. Remanufactured turbo, and a new o e m replacement. I started pricing it out and found what I wanted is an upgrade. They are set to do the upgrade in the near future. They didn't try and swindle me or upsell me on ball joints or something I didn't need. Now I have a level of trust in them to even do upgrades to my vehicles as requested. Again I can't say this enough... car maintenance is not cheap. If you get it cheap you will have more problems. If you ignore suggested maintenance and don't at least ask if something is critical to the safety and function of your vehicle ....you are going to have a bad time. You have options, we are in America . If you think you know better , can do better , or are being oversold .... Do the work yourself. This is skilled trade work not swiping groceries over a barcode scanner.

We recently moved to the area 2 years ago and were drawn here based on their local award winning "best of Pasadena" service reputation. That award is well deserved and we always bring our cars here for service of all kinds. I am a systems engineer by training and these guys "speak my language"! We have two VWs that are 10 years old and thanks to the Chesapeake Car Care team we expect another 10 years from these cars minimum! I have detected a pattern on the handful of one-star ratings here that are artificially driving down their Yelp score--someone with a beef (I am guessing a competitor who is unhappy they keep winning the Best of Pasadena award) asked a few of their friends to post a bunch of hyperbolic 1-star reviews--I notice that for each of these likely fake reviews the person has only ever submitted ONE review to Yelp ever--one guy even claims they forgot to put his oil filter on and it ruined his car--total nonsense. Bottom Line: These guys are awesome!

I had some hesitation but because he said he's ordering it (wanted to be a woman of my word) I came back. My family had been going here for a while spending thousands of dollars. Anyway, a couple days later I had the exact same problem, after I paid the inspection also. Therefore he labeled it and said it's fixed. Ryan worked on but Andrew drove it when I returned. Andrew says "Yeah it is "jerking ". I said " thanks Andrew" that's why I brought it here because of this and was told by Ryan"It's fixed". I explained the problem wasn't fixed and I would like them to fix it or give me my money back. Andrew says no, if have to talk to owner. WAITED OVER 4 CLOSE TO 5 HOURS FOR HIM ( TOLD HE WAS PLAYING BASEBALL). He comes in walks right past me and gets behind desk. I explained everything and said Andrew drove it and felt same thing. Andrew now "hesitant" owner there and says yeah maybe it's spark plugs? The inspection, drove and label what it was for sure and now I need spark plugs. " No sir please return my money " I said. Told about how my family spent thousands and owner says very condescending" I don't care nothing about that". Hours of sitting, harsh interaction, no apologies and refused to fix car. You pull up, they get you in, and everything moves pretty efficiently. No long waits, no overcomplicating things. What I appreciate most is they don't try to upsell you on a bunch of stuff you don't need. They'll let you know if something's worth looking into, but it doesn't feel like a sales pitch every five minutes. The staff is friendly and straightforward. They explain what they're doing, answer questions if you have them, and keep things moving. You can tell they do this all day and know what they're doing. The whole process is quick. You're in and out without feeling rushed, which is exactly what you want for something like this. Overall, it's a reliable spot. Honest service, good people, and efficient work. This is one of those places I keep going back to because I know what to expect every time.

Last time I was there , they stripped some bolt and had to replace a part to do the oil change. Also, I'm sick of the sales pitches for unnecessary services such as an engine flush, a non-manufacture recommendation that can actually harm your vehicle . Technicians make commissions on these unnecessary & sometimes harmful services, so there is perverse incentive to push them. I just want a safe & reliable oil change. I'm already paying twice as much as I would for a non-drive thru oil change at a mechanic's shop, & the level of competence is so much higher in the latter. I don't think I'll be coming back--too much risk (messing up an oil change) w/ little upside.
