We visited Bawarchi today with my family and the service is extremely slow and with extremely under trained staff!! AVOID this place if you can read more

Bawarchi - Half way eaten - Indian Near Me - Ballwin, Missouri

This place is awesome! My husband had never had Indian food before; our server was amazing and helped us choose items she knew we'd love. The staff is awesome & food is great!! read more

Had chicken, samoas and naan and rice to go... soo Delicious!!! I just love it so much!!

Very good food, very authentic, fish can come with eyes included, but it's all delicious.

We just had an amazing dinner delivered. We shared the Saag Paneer, I got the Chicken Kharma, my partner got Shrimp Tikki Masala, and of course we had to get some garlic naan. The food was SO good, and the delivery was quick. read more

Omg!!!! Today was my first time having Indian food and my goodness!!! I'm so happy it was from here!!! I orbited Butter Chicken(Mild spice) and the garlic naan! To my very pleasant surprise, it came with basmati rice! It was sooo freaking good! I ate on it for 3 meals!!!! (In one day!) lol I will continue to get this!!! YUM!!!! read more

The food was big disaster. Even never had this kind of food. Please stay away from this restaurant.

Love the food at Bawarchi. Paneer dosa is great! Also love their eggplant and kadhai paneer.

We have been craving Indian food and decided to try this place tonight through grubhub. It was fantastic! We just ordered chicken tiki marsala, aloo gobi and garlic naan. We really enjoyed all of it-the sauces were wonderful and flavorful. If I had to nitpick...the chicken in the tiki marsala was a little over cooked and tough but the sauce made up for it and the rice was bland. Neither would detour us from ordering again. Prices are average for entrees (unfortunately through grub hub fees it was almost 30-40% marked up but grub hub convenience fees and no fault of the restaurant. If we weren't being lazy and picked it up ourselves that would have been avoided. So far this is the best Indian meal we have had for the value in that general radius of town. read more

Mysore Bonda, Mirchi Bajji and Tea. These were the 3 items we ordered since we had to drive back for 4 hrs we placed order for to go. I didn't checked the reviews as the name was familiar. But it was the opposite. The Mirchi bajjis they were tasteless. There was no salt, no spice at all. They didn't even have the order with some sliced onions, lemon or chaat masala sprinkled. The flour used didn't seemed besan but instead corn flour I guess. They basically dipped the green peppers in plain flour without even salt and gave it to us. I was very disappointed. Will give just 1 star to Mirchi bajjis. The name ' Bawarchi' had been not satisfied. Second comes to tea. We placed order for Masala tea from the menu , but they said they don't have it. So we went for plain tea - and don't ask me about it- they used milk powder instead of milk. It was just like hot water. 1 star for tea as well. And lastly comes the Mysore Bonda. This was little better than the above two. But not the best. I will give a 2.5 for Mysore Bonda. My suggestion - people visiting St. Louis please don't go for the name for any restaurant. Definitely not worth it unless you don't have any other option. read more

I went here last night and ordered some fishy shit. I was hella good and fishy and shit. I would recommend this place to anyone of yall reading this shit. read more

We went to bawarchi after my father and I discovered that the Steak and Shake nearby had closed down and we were still craving red meat so we decided to go to bawarchi. The ambience and the service were average. However, the biryani wasn't good at all. We got the Hyderabadi Mutton biryani and the biryani smelt bad, tasted bad and did not sit well at all. I felt sick the day after too. The only redeeming thing was the curry that goes on top of the biryani. Their curry is delicious. My dad however told me that he had much better experiences with this restaurant. But because I had a bad experience, my review is just as harsh. read more

I love this Indian place. I just moved to the area and it's been so good. Visited a few times and loved veggie korma, butter chicken and chili chicken. Can't wait to try buffet. It's been great. read more

As a South Indian in origin, I rate Bawarchi has having the Best Dosa in town! Weekend Thali's are fresh.

Great food. Reasonable price, generous portions and hospitable staff. Highly recommended if you enjoy Indian food (probably my fav in the STL region) read more

Best biryani in St Louis! We love their family pack vijaywada biryani. It comes with an appetizer and a dessert.

Good biriyani and huge portions. The Rasamalai definitely stole the show!

This place is amazing! Really good food. I enjoyed their marsala dosa and ghee dosa. Probably has the best south Indian in saint Louis. Service was very quick. A friend got Puri and chole that was pretty decent. Lots of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The portions were decently sized. read more

Perhaps I am biased after trying an excellent Indian restaurant in Chesterfield, but the food here was nowhere near the same quality I had expected. We ordered mild dishes and they were way too spicy; mine was almost inedible. The sweet Lassi here has a very strange aftertaste and not very pleasant or tasty at all (even the mango). The rice for the curry is very bland and has no flavor at all. My partner and I both felt mildly sick afterwards. read more

This was the worst Middle Eastern restaurant I'd ever been to. I think they think it don't care, the minorities eat at diverse restaurants and we know how food should look and taste. Well, someone need to tell the owners at this place. I ordered food that should have been larger and saucier. They looked at me upon my entrance as though I was from another world. They cheated me out of my discount. The food was horrible. I will neeeeever go there again!! read more

Bawachi was our go to restaurant when it started few years back, would go there 2-3 times a month or more as it had good food( both North and South Indian dishes). In past 6 months I see lot of change in quality and taste. North Indian dishes are hit and miss, good at time and not at all up to mark other times. South Indian dishes too spicy ( chutney n sambar especially). I notice changes in quantity as well. Wouldn't be going as often. read more

Me and my friends visit regularly restraunt but today suddenly Taste is not that good they keep on changing as we were shocked are we in different Restraunt beware carry salt when you plan for Bawarchi They are not maintaining consistency and quality Bad experience read more

I was from California recently moved to Missouri and looking for the best Indian restaurant in this area. I have to appreciate the chef for making the food taste like real Hyderabadi. Especially I have to talk about the ULAVACHARU BIRIYANI was mouth watering. I will revisit this place for my home town food read more

Another Indian restaurant, nothing special. Service needs to improve by a LOT. Plates had chips and scratches. Food is decent, same menu / items as most Indian restaurant. Ordered dosas, biryani and chicken appetizer. A portion of the dosa was uncooked. Biryani and chicken appetizer was not bad. Items seemed to be priced a bit more than other restaurants in the area. Don't think this restaurant has anything special that will make me go there again. read more

Ordered Paneer dum biryani, paneer butter masala, baby corn and garlic naan. Except paneer dum Biryani everything else is so average. Paneer curry is a disaster, the quality is so poor. We had to throw the entire dish away and this is not the first time it happened to us. read more

The food/Biryani was not fresh during multiple times we ordered even for weekend specials.

Amazing Indian food. Every item I have had from this restaurant has been great. The butter chicken curry, Vegetable Korma and chilli chicken are top notch. read more

Good vegetarian food tonight. Started with the Onion Dosa (the chutneys that come with it are good) we weren't expecting the unions to be raw though so I would get a plain one or try another flavor next time. Fried cauliflower appetizer was great. Our entres were good as well. Really good garlic naan. read more

I am an Indian who frequently visits Bawarchi. But for the past 3 times, I've been VERY UPSET with the service and food. We always request for "mild food" multiple times. However it's always TOO spicy, despite us telling the waitresses for mild many times. If you cannot handle super spicy food, I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. read more

Fresh. Delicious. Will come back! This restaurant continues to deliver incredible Indian cuisine. Service is friendly, food is authentic, and I will scream it from the rooftops for anyone who will listen. 10/10 read more

I have never written a bad restaurant review in my life and often love giving restaurants/small businesses a lot of grace especially in the age of Covid, but the business ethics of this place is completely unacceptable. My credit card was overcharged. When I found out about the issue, I immediately reached out to the restaurant via their website. No response. I called and spoke to someone over the phone (twice) providing all documentation to look up the transaction to rectify the situation and begged to speak with a manager who could assist me...long story short, this went nowhere. It was not a terribly large sum that was overcharged, but it is the principle of the matter--it is wrong to take money from people without authorization and then refuse to work with them to give back their money (a version of stealing some could argue). A person should never have to worry about getting their money taken from them when visiting a restaurant. I'd urge others to think twice before going here or remain hyper vigilant when giving this restaurant your credit card information. You will likely not get the money back. read more

Good start to new restaurant. Nice clean decor nothing fancy. They seem to be still settling down with the staff. Had rava masala twice and was delicious both times. They have some nice different chutneys. Loved one of the ginger based ones. Will definitely be back to try more later read more

First time here and WOW! What a great restaurant with really good food. My sons went with Chicken Tikka Masala, my wife had Butter Chicken, and I had the Goat Khorma. As we were eating, we were getting full, but couldn't stop because everything tasted so amazing. Cannot wait until the next time we get to stop by. Menu had many interesting items. Staff is very friendly and takes time to answer questions. read more

Food was excellent. We asked for mild, and it was! Tasty delicious food! The dhosa and paneer tika masala were excellent!

Awful ambience, cheap plastic plates and glasses, inadequate service, tasteless and potentially harmful food. For the prices on their menu there are far better places to go for Indian food. If you want to eat half cooked, salt less, smothered-in-oil food on ugly looking plates feel free to dine here. read more
