I love that it was so convenient next to the grocery store with plenty of parking. I think this one is very tiny. A lot of big people like average Americans won't be able to fit going to the bathroom through the hallway. I know they're trying to do the best but hopefully no one blocks the hallway if they sit down I think it's meant to be a grab and go more in this location. Otherwise you're just blocking the hallway. I love that the service is fast. I love that it gives that genuine bubble tea premium tiers.
Ordered 75% sweetness and I got a $7 cup of milk. left drink is S1 and literally looks like milk and boba. It tastes like it too.
I wouldn't exactly call this place the busiest or quiet, but it's definietly ambient. Decor is on-spot, the vibe tells you it's a great place for meeting up with friends and such. Talking from experience, by the way. I stopped here after having lunch with some friends to grab a quick sweet treat. Service was decent and fast, and I also didn't wait too long for my order (s). The bubble tea was average in my opinion, but I like how you can add extra toppings. There is also a wide variety for the menu. The mango shaved ice was okay, I liked the refreshing flavor. Overall, decent in my opinion but I wouldn't mind if I had to come here again.
Friday at 3:10pm Ambiance was nice. Clean. Bright with tables outside. Service at the register was helpful and informative if you're new to the establishment. Service was slow. Ordered 2 Matcha #10 and two Taiyaki, one chocolate The matcha was so fragrant it was not drinkable. I knew as soon as I saw the color it was not what I was wanting. I suppose they added jasmine. There was no earthiness to it. The Taiyaki was barely full. The chocolate tasted like Hershey syrup. 24$ down the drain
Took my teen daughter and niece for boba and they loved it! Seemed right up their alley. You can order from a kiosk or at the counter. They got different drinks and cake pops, and loved the decor inside. Both girls enjoyed their choices and wished they could have tried more! Maybe a sampler size or "flight" of different drinks could let people try more of the menu?
My teenager is obsessed with milk tea so every time we are in the area we have to stop in. It's the cutest little spot to grab a sweet treat. This time we got the crème brûlée milk tea and Oreo milk tea. They were both delicious. It was pretty busy so we used the kiosk to order. It was very easy to navigate.
The boba tea was great but the prices were definitely not worth. I've had the same boba tea quality before at much lower prices - from $5-$7 (and that's in Southern California too!) . But it was $10/10.50 for one boba drink! I was treating my boyfriend and the bill for just two boba teas was $20+. We could have gone to a restaurant and ordered an entree and appetizer for that price depending on the place!! Definitely not coming back even though the tea was good and the owner seemed nice. If they lower their prices to be more reasonable than ripping people off, then we will come back for sure. The inside was nice.
Wanted to finally get some shots of Honey Bee Tea and show how adorable this little joint is! I actually have never experienced their food before and decided to get the Hong Kong Egg Waffle. It was so warm and soft and the perfect snack! Overall I would say this is a staple in my routine and have enjoyed numerous things on the menu that have great quality! This is THE boba spot to hit!
The ambiance was everything it was so cute. Perfect place for selfies while sipping your fav drink! The employees were friendly. Since it was my first time and I was uncertain on what I wanted to order, she kindly offered samples. I got one fruit tea and one milk tea. We selected the strawberry peach oolong tea with strawberry and brown sugar boba , and the Okinawa milk tea with brown sugar boba. I'm not the biggest fan of boba so I will try it without next time, but the drinks were so good. Definitely recommend!
Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Living out in West County, our options are incredibly limited when it comes to bubble tea. Located along Manchester in the bustling Lafayette shopping plaza, Honey Bee Tea sits a couple of shops next to Dierberg's and can't be missed. They have a slimmer menu than other bubble tea shops, but I actually prefer this as they can focus on crafting a handful of great drinks vs. serving up dozens of mediocre ones. What I appreciate the most is that the drinks are all made from scratch, emphasizing on quality and fresh ingredients. My favorite is their taro milk tea as it's cozy and comforting with just a hint of sweetness. Be sure to add in boba for that extra chew!
Bubble Tea Lovers - you NEED to go to Honey Bee Tea! I am obsessed with their huge selection of options and their fresh boba! They are really fast and have online ordering on their website! MY FAV: Okinawa Bubble Tea with Creme Brulee Toasted
It took me awhile to get here. It's out in West County on a busy street (the infamous Manchester). The ambiance is great, the line was short, and the service was nice and fast. The drinks that I got were awesome! The boba was cooked well. The only thing is that there's not any customization besides the size of your drink. I would loveee if I could have less sugar, but honestly it was still good how it is.
The tastes. The smells. Oh my gosh this place is a little slice of heaven. I told the employees I wanted something not very sweet, so I got a green mango tea with black boba and it was fantastic. The fresh fruit chunks made it sweet but not too sweet, and the black boba added something a little extra. Honey Bee also sells desserts, and it smells AMAZING. Think ice cream parlor mixed with fresh fruit. It's clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and their options are endless. They offer smoothies, slushes, milk tea, lattes, and coffee. There are tons of additives to add in whatever it is you're looking for. Next time I go, I'd love to try the Ube Taro Latte! It was perfect for a hot summer day. Refreshing, delicious, and supporting local. Sign me up!
Salted cream cheese foam! I appreciate this location being fully operational with all our boba tea needs. I love the flavor options and adds this spot offers. The staff was very helpful with recipe recommendations. Their ube waffle was served hot and filled with sweet Ube filling! I need to try more food items next time. I appreciate the different seating options they have like a patio, window high top, booth, and half tables. The location is wheelchair accessible but the door is narrow but easier to pull. read more

When you walk in, it smells so yummy! I didn't know there's a self-kiosk, but will definitely use it the next time I go there. I love how fresh the boba is. I'm not a fan of the strong jasmine taste. It does taste refreshing, but the flavor is overwhelming. The sugar level and ice level cannot be adjusted to 0% so it's unfortunate. Nonetheless, it's yummy and refreshing, but not what I was looking for. read more

My daughter and I stopped in for a drink on a Saturday morning. The shop is small, but there's plenty of room to sit and enjoy your drinks at a table. It was a bit busy, as expected, but the line and drinks were moving quickly. They have a huge menu of drink flavors! It was hard to choose what to try because everything looked so good. We went with a classic milk tea with boba and a strawberry tea with popping boba. The drinks were super flavorful and refreshing. It is a bit pricey, but that's expected as boba tea is extremely popular. I'd definitely come back, but more as a weekly treat than a daily drink option. read more

Love all things Boba.. so it's natural when I saw this place, had to try it. The tea menu is so colorful and everything looks delish. I got Okinawa milk tea with caramel and boba- absolutely yummy. But the cost is too steep.. $10 for a the speciality boba.. hmm.. I will have to think twice before I go back.. Taking a star off just for high prices. read more
Bubble tea must be such a hard business. Every few months there's another one that opens and is at least just as good if not better than all the older ones. Let's go honey bee, raise the bar, drinks here are so good! We got the Okinawa milk tea and the sweet garden! Delicious! Keep up the good work, we will definitely be back read more

L O V E this place! First the staff is super super friendly! There is nothing that I love the most than great service and a great product. I'm obsessed with the Okinawa tea with cream brûlée! My kiddo loves the strawberry tea. But there is so many more great ones. read more
5 stars for the quality of milk, tea, boba, and egg waffles!! They use organic milk instead of milk powder which my milk-snob friend informed me makes all the difference. I highly enjoyed my ube taro latte today which my toddler chose because of the vibrant purple marbled white colors. Apparently 3pm on a Sunday can be their rush hour because there was a line almost out the door and they ran out of regular boba, but still had brown sugar boba. I felt like the ube taro latte was not too sweet; I wish it had a tad more ube or taro flavor. Boba was perfectly chewy and cooked just right. I appreciate the kids menu but wish they could make any drink kid-size. My other kid loved her mango smoothie with boba added in. It was thick and substantial like a mango lassi. It seemed a bit steep to pay $8.50 for the ube taro latte (specialty drink) but all bubble tea places seem to be charging that much except Pan-Asia's bubble tea store which seems to have slightly lower prices. I loved that they also sell Hong Kong egg waffles which comes with a free topping. The creme brulee pudding was creamy and delicious but I might opt for condensed milk or syrup next time. They have about 3 narrow tables for seating and it seems most people opt to carry-out their drinks. read more

Appreciate your 5 star review and we do use the best quality…
I was very excited to try this place after reading the rave reviews. I was also happy that I didn't have to drive far to university city for good milk tea. I tried to order the Okinawa milk tea at 50 % sweet and the lady said I couldn't adjust the sweetness. Then she told me to try a sample first. It was way too sweet and tasted very artificial. I was also shocked to see that it cost $8.25- that's more than boba tea in OC. I told her it was too sweet and she said the only drinks I can adjust the sweetness level were jasmine and one other one. I ordered the jasmine milk tea half sweet. The tea was strong in jasmine flavor, which I liked, but it had too much cream and boba was swollen soft. They also serve waffles and it smelled very good. I will probably stick to Cube tea studio for my boba tea but may come back to try the waffles. read more

The staff was so friendly, the store is cute, and the menu is amazing! So many incredible options, and they'll let you sample some tea if you're not sure which base to go with. The Ube Taro latte with boba is amazing, it's the best Taro tea I've had! read more
A friend recommended Honey Bee Tea since I loved boba. I had no issues with ordering, and I got my order really fast. The Okinawa Tea was really good. The tapioca boba, in my opinion, was a little gummy, I have had better. The place is a little pricey compared to other places around town. read more

Hands down, this is my favorite boba place in St. Louis. I've been here twice in 7 days, despite it being half an hour from my house (each way)! I've had the classic, the Okinawa, the oolong, and the house special milk tea. So far, I haven't been disappointed with the flavor of the tea or the consistency of the boba (I'm pretty picky with my boba consistency haha) here. If you want sweeter boba, it seems like the brown sugar boba is the way to go (the regular / honey is the other option). The tea flavors are very strong in a good way. You can really taste the aromas of the tea in the drink! Also, the Hong Kong waffle is delicious! I got mine with condensed milk on top. The only two downsides are 1) the location being so far from the city and 2) the high price (almost $10 if you get a signature drink) but this is definitely my splurge happy place. I love coming here when I can! read more

I really like Honey Bee tea! They have a good selection of bubble teas. I think it is a bit overpriced with each bubble tea costing around $10 without tips. The service is good and it's a good spot to get some studies done. read more

Tried this place for the first time after a friend recommended it to me, and I am one happy gal! My fiancé ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea, and I ordered the Okinawa Milk Tea with Toasted Crème Brûlée & Brown Sugar Boba. To be honest we didn't really like the Strawberry Milk Tea because the black tea flavor and strawberry milk flavor didn't really mix too well for our liking, but that's just our opinion. Now the drink that I ordered, we absolutely loved. The drink was perfectly sweet but not too sweet & had a slight roasted aftertaste, and the brown sugar boba tied the Okinawa milk tea flavor well with the toasted crème brûlée flavor. I see myself coming back to order this drink specifically, probably way more often than I should. Excited to try all the other goodies they have here! read more

This is the place to be. We randomly decided to try the chicken jerky today. LIFE CHANGING. It will make your mouth happy as it tingles from the spices. Absolutely worth every penny! The boba teas and smoothies are delicious as well and this is the only place we will go for it. The employees are so friendly and have great suggestions, which is very helpful and appreciated. read more

Honey Bee opened up not too long ago, but as a boba lover and enthusiast, I can say that they have one of the best tasting drinks you can find in St. Louis. The Okinawa Milk Tea w Toasted Crème Brûlée is just 10/10 for taste. 100% recommended getting this drink! Get it with regular sweetness and regular ice. Must try! read more
