I could've sworn I left a review the first time I went here but the second time was actually better than the first anyway! I ordered a matcha latte and strawberry croissant. I couldn't let my camera eat first. We actually ordered to go but there was a bit of a wait. There was I believe a mom and son in front of us who ordered drinks as well and were waiting a bit so I ate the croissant and it was delicious. Not too buttery, the cream inside was very light with a hint of sweetness which I enjoyed and the slices of strawberry balanced it all out. After I ate that, our drinks were ready to pick up. I ordered a matcha latte the first visit and wasn't too impressed. There was no sweetener added and the straws back then were paper and dissolved in my drink. I'm glad they have the plastic straws now so I could fully enjoy and the sweetener was the perfect amount. Not too sweet! I spoke with the barista asking if she enjoyed the tiramisu matcha latte and she admitted she doesn't drink matcha so she couldn't say which I appreciated her honesty instead of trying to upsell me. She was so sweet and did let me know a lot of customers do enjoy it. I'm glad I opted for the matcha again because it made me so happy with how delicious it was! (A MILLION times better than Starbucks!) Every time we go this place is so busy. There is a line but it's never too long and there's never an empty case of pastries. There's so much variety if you're feeling sweet or savory. I do want to try some of their cake sometime. Maybe next time! read more

It may be the Cloud Cream that does the trick. When you walk in the door, it can be a little over whelming. I wanted one of everything, which just means I will be going back for more. To start the process, grab a tray, put a sheet of parchment paper on it, and grab some tongs. Then the hard part of deciding what you want! Currently they are featuring pistachio as the spot light ingredient. I was excited about catching it. With my lunch choice, I also grabbed a pistachio donut - it was filled FULL of cream. The filling reminded me of the pistachio cream I brought home from Baker Street Food Station in London. YUM! With my lunch, I had a honey lavender latte. They have a coffee bar with hot and cold options to choose from. Grabbed a couple of Soft Bread options - strawberry and pistachio chocolate to have at home for a snack later. Two options in St. Louis: one on Manchester Road and one in Delmar Loop. Stop in and check them out. Great place for a work meeting, interview, meet-up with friends, date, or a family outing. One neg was I looked at their menu online and picked out a latte: masala chai latte. But when I arrived at the store and tried to order it wasn't available. Celebrating my son's two hockey goals yesterday and his soccer goal today felt like the perfect excuse to treat ourselves, and since we were already planning a grocery run at Pan Asia, Tous Les Jours was the obvious stop. It has that classic Korean bakery setup where you grab a tray, pick out your breads and pastries as you walk through, then order cakes, coffee, and drinks at the counter. The space itself is bright, clean, and inviting, with plenty of tables if you want to sit and enjoy everything fresh. We picked up a Tuxedo Choco Cake for my son,,he loved it, and added a mix of pastries: a spinach feta danish to go, a guava danish, a Portuguese egg tart, and a kimchi croquette. Not a single miss in the bunch; everything tasted fresh, balanced, and well-made. The drinks were just as impressive. I tried a Hot Honey Lavender Macchiato for the first time, and it was excellent, comforting, floral, and just sweet enough. My wife gave it her stamp of approval too, which says a lot. I was so excited to try Tous les Jours! I've heard so much about it. It's a serve yourself bakery with a few cakes and desserts behind the counter. I was there 45 minutes before closing so the selection was a bit scarce but the items I did try were ok... The Ube latte was milky and needed a larger boost of ube flavor. The pistachio macaron filling was a bit waxy but the earl grey was good! The strawberry and green tea cake slice was not the best. The green tea flavor didn't pop nor did the strawberry flavor. The spinach feta pastry was delicious!! I may have to go back for more savory bites. The sweets didn't sell me. I'm not sure if they warm your pastries for you but if not, I recommend adding that service. The seating is intimate but the atmosphere is so cute and casual! Went on a Monday morning and the place was stocked! I normally go to the Delmar Loop location and that one is so busy that I often don't see it as stocked as here. I loved that the pastries that had meat were located in a warming case and not mixed in with the sweeter buns in the middle. I appreciate the cleanliness at this location as well. I got a sausage bun to go. The service was fast and helpful. The place was still packed for a Monday morning. We tried a few of the sweet pastries and a few of the savory and all were delicious. The only thing I personally would not recommend is the coffee or smoothies. I'm so glad there's a French-Asian bakery option in town for my cravings. It's conveniently located in the same plaza as Pan-Asia supermarket (toooo convenient for me). The interior is clean, eye catchy displays and friendly staff; half of the space is for cafe seatings. Seatings get pretty crowded on weekends. Matcha latte was pretty decent and smooth. I got the strawberry soft bread that's literally filled with strawberry buttercream that melts in your mouth like cotton candy, chocolate cream donut was the first thing I grabbed I couldn't resist. I was so excited that they opened a Tous Les Jours location in Ballwin because the one on the Loop is a little far for me to drive to. Favorites that I tried here: matcha cream croissant, curry-filled pastry, YUZU hand pie (hands down the best thing I had this week), mango cream bun, egg custard tart (the one with thinner crust--they have 2 types). I have been to Tous Les Jours previously in Seoul and U City. This location is a bit smaller than U City. I was here late in the day on a Sunday and they were sold out of a lot! I ended up with a Birthday Cake Macaron and a Blueberry Cloud Cake Slice (Light sponge cake layered with whipped cream, fresh blueberries, and blueberry compote). I was not wild about the macaron but the cake was light, fluffy, fresh and delicious. Very nice blueberry flavor and not too sweet. No coffee on this trip because it was too late for caffeine.
