Update: Batteries + Bulbs has still been no help and I am still livid that they completely broke my phone and tried to sweep it under the rug. The usability of my phone has gone downhill even more (didn't think that was possible but here we are). Someone from customer service sent me an elusive message to contact the store manager (a man apparently, all of the managers we talked to there were women, so I'm 100% confused about who is actually in charge). These people really take you through the ringer, no one deserves this kind of disservice, especially paying customers who trusted you. So unless someone contacts me and offers to buy me a new phone or reimburse the complete value of my phone, then we're at a standstill. You guys need to learn better business practices and actually value your customers, treat them with some respect. We were so understanding and patient every time we came in only to have Hot Head Joe greet us with anger and annoyance (why so annoyed joe? Because you have to do your job??) Also the BBB needs to be notified about your bad business practices so we'll see how that goes too. _______________________ THEY BROKE MY PHONE AND REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE TO BE FIXED. They use cheap parts and staff is extremely lacking in knowledge. I did a better job replacing the screen on my iPhone 6 all by myself than they did with my iPhone SE. Now I wish I had just done the work myself. Basically what happened was: My phone screen broke and needed to be replaced (screen was physically cracked, I used the broken phone for 4 days before bringing it in to be fixed with absolutely no glitchiness, besides the cracked screen, every other function worked perfectly), I have never had any issues or glitchiness with this phone...that is until after these people tried to fix it. A very young male worker, took care of us on our first visit, he is the one who replaced my screen the first time. He said it would take about an hour, we waited, came back, only to be told that it was going to take longer. (It took yet another hour to be ready.) We got the phone back and as soon as we got in the car, I could tell that they used a cheap screen because the colors and brightness are WAY off, and then it just started glitching out. HUH, my phone never did that before you guys took WAY longer to fix my phone...perhaps this young incredibly green associate of yours caused damage to my phone whilst trying to fix it and because of this and the liability this entails on your end (you know, for BREAKING MY PHONE PERMANENTLY and not taking responsibility). And you know what? After returning several times (there is a warranty, for what idk because they literally broke my phone and it didn't help me at all) and getting the screen replaced one of the workers, Joe, had the audacity to tell us "maybe it's time to get a new phone"... JOE my phone is only one year old and YOU GUYS BROKE IT so maybe take a step back and reminisce on that little factoid. To sum up how it all played out: We kept coming back until they would actually do something about it. They replaced the screen 3 times, Hot Head Joe was going to put our old broken screen back on during our 3rd visit (after he got fed up with having to work with us on the issue that THEY CAUSED in the first place), we waited for it to be done only to come back to Joe telling us that they apparently "don't have the broken screen anymore so I just replaced it with another screen". None of the replacement screens were of good quality and my phone is still glitching out. We did get a refund for the $90 we spent on their service, not sure how I'm going to get a new phone with $90 but I do know that I'm NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN AND NEITHER IS ANYONE I KNOW NOR ANYONE ELSE I CAN TELL TO SAVE THEM FROM THE HASSLE OF USING THIS FACADE OF A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS. *UPDATE* From the time I first wrote this review, the quality of my phone has gone even further downhill, drastically. There are lines through the screen, its still glitching out but even more now so, I can't even write a text without my phone either not responding to touch or freaking out and typing a bunch of stuff I didn't even write. I am so livid. Not only does the quality of the screen suck (cheap cheap cheap) but my phone is completely unusable now and I need to use it on a daily basis for work! Now my ability to do my job correctly is being impeded because this company broke my phone and never owned up to it. Do not ever take your phone here. They are unprofessional, do not know what they are doing, use cheap parts, and literally don't care about the customer. I'm taking this to as high in the chain of authority as I can because this is ridiculous. You BROKE my smart phone and you guys literally don't care! Will repaired my daughter's iPhone screen and did an excellent job. You couldn't tell it had been replaced. It only took 30 minutes and he provided excellent customer service. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. Perhaps management has taken care of previous issues. read more

I've been going to BPB for a long time, mostly because of price/value, however, if you want to replace the battery in your iPhone-6, this is not the place. BPB gets $69 and the authorized Apple dealer in Arrowhead Mall gets $49. I told BPB on the phone that I was disappointed, and they just blew me off. If you watch the YouTube video on how to replace a battery, there are a lot of risks. I'd say that the first choice would be an authorized iPhone outlet because of liability should anything go south... AND they just happen to also be the best value. read more

Call ahead to see if this location was able to program keyfobs, was told they did and was even quoted a price. Drove to the store, the associate was assisting another customer so I had to wait 15-20 minutes, to then be told the programming machine had not worked all day and he was unable to program them. read more

I had been needing a battery for quite some time for a portable phone in the shop. This morning my fob for the car quit working. After figuring out how to take it apart to get the battery number it started working better than it had in weeks. I needed some help getting the correct phone battery. After that I questioned the sales person about my car fob and she knew just what the problem was and charged me a whole dollar to resolder the battery tab. They have an incredible assortment of specialized batteries in stock. And friendly staff that knows their stuff. read more

William helped me out and informed me that they didn't have the battery in the store but he then took the time to run all the way out to his car and give me the phone number to his own computer guy! I had a great experience at this store! A little background, I had a horrible experience at another Batteries Plus Bulbs (Avondale) and was not planning on doing business with them again. But, I was in the neighborhood and needed my iPhone fixed. Michael, at the Bell store, was AWESOME! I told him I needed a new battery and charging port. He asked if he could try a couple tricks he had on the charging port before I had to spend $50 to replace it. I said ok and he cleaned it out and now it works like it was brand knew. Him many businesses go out of their way to SAVE YOU MONEY??? He didn't know I had previously had a horrible experience at another store, this is apparently just how he conducts business. He replaced the battery and threw on a new screen protector in less time than he quoted. Michael earned my business, and my respect. Love this store! When I need batteries for my ATVs, they always have it in stock. Today I decided to try their iphone repair service. Headphone jack broke so needed it replaced. They had the part in stock, fixed it in about an hour and works great. LOVED not having to deal with the crowds at the Apple Store. Friendly staff and fair prices, too. Highly recommend. read more

We came to the store to replace a charging port since the phone was barely charging. If you slightly even just tapped the cord it would stop charging. You would almost have to physically hold the cable there to get at least some charge. We were prepared to replace the port and even the screen. The worker wanted to clean to port out before we agreed to getting it replaced in case it would make it better. He went in the back and grabbed a tool that almost looks like a scraper at the dentist. The amount of lint and dirt he pulled out of the charging port was insane. He cleaned it with alcohol and tested it back out. The way the cord held in the port was like night and day. It now effectively charged and we now don't have to drop $90 on something that's not broken. The employees could've just taken it and replaced it without even checking it but they took the time to investigate. Thank you to the very nice and helpful employees! read more

DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR SCREEN ON PHONE FIXED! this place is the worst! They took my phone and said it would take 3 hours to fix the cracked screen and instead when I came to pick it up not only was it not ready but they hadn't even started on it! The lady thankfully because she said she was not in a good mood said it wasn't a good idea that she work on my phone so at least she didn't take her bad mood out on my phone. I needed a battery for my cell, being a 3 year old phone I pretty much had limited choice. They had my battery, cost $35.00 but the battery was old and only lasted 4 months. I think most of the batteries are old discontinued that they buy from various warehouses and resell for 1000% mark up. .. I find on Amazon same battery for $5.00. So far I have had 6 months on the Amazon battery..Why waste money and time shopping here.?? read more

This store used to be my go-to for batteries of all kinds. Not any more. My first indication that something was wrong was when they rebuilt three 18 volt Dewalt tool batteries. The rebuilts were promised to be "better than new" because of the superior cells they used. Well, they weren't, and not by a long shot. But that wasn't too bad because the rebuild cost was decent. But what really makes me angry was they way they treated my wife a few months ago. I used to count on this location for AGM automotive batteries that stand up to the Phoenix area climate. One unexpectedly went bad way too soon; an Odyssey brand in her minivan. It was OK for a day if I charged it up overnight. She took it to this location for testing. She was told by a woman there that the battery was "just fine," and that the car's charging system was bad. So off to our long-time and well-trusted dealer for a look-see. The charging system test cost $116. Fair enough. The result? Bad battery, with a shorted cell. With those printed results in hand, then and only then would this Batteries Plus location replace the battery. Would they refund us the $116 cost of the charging system test to diagnose their bad battery? No. Not a chance. In fact the man there said to me, "We can't do anything about that." It's been good for years, and the manager there knows who we are as long-time customers. If they make good, I'll change this to a five star for customer service. Sadly, I'd be surprised. read more
