It simply doesn't make since that you are able to make an appointment to get a back camera lens replaced on an IPhone 13 Pro max, just to be told that they don't have the lens in stock when you arrive. Also, I received more than three notifications via text, email and a phone call stating that my appointment was confirmed. When I arrived to this Surprise location, the rep informed me that the appointment didn't even exist. When you call customers to confirm their appointment, maybe you should check to make sure you have the product they need in stock. If you have the time to call customers, then you have the time to check your inventory. Just a suggestion for the future. You have a systems failure. Please don't waste people's time. read more

This review is for the Surprise location, ONLY. Other locations have been great. I took my phone for a cracked screen and they said it couldn't be fixed because my phone had water damage when I perfectly knew it didn't. They said I had to get my phone replaced. Also previous I had gotten a screen replaced there and my front camara was blurry after their replacement so I mentioned that and the tech said that it was impossible that they made the camara blurry. So I left and took my phone to a different Ubreakifix on 93rd ave & Northern and they were great there, didn't even mentioned anything about a "water damage" and when I told the tech about my camara he checked and agreed it did looked blurry and said he would take a look. Glass was replaced and camara screen is no longer blurry, by the techs on Northern. Never going back to the Surprise location, just awful. read more

We took our IPhone in as everything was not staying on and when we forced it to turn on, all apps were frozen. We took it to Brian, the store manager and he did a diagnostics test for us. He said it was one of two things and it would be approximately 3 hours. Within an hour, he called us and told us it was ready and good to go. EXCEPTIONAL service. I've needed to fix a screen on my iPhone for a while and finally decided this weekend to look and see if there was a place close by that could get it done while I was out running errands for the day. I found Asurion and was happy to see they allowed walk ins, but their website also allowed appointments to be set. I'll tell you right by or you're better off making an appointment because when I walked in there was a line quickly forming with only one man running the front. I know there was at least one or two tech people in the back because I could hear them, the line took quite a while with only one employee up front and what seemed to be all walk ins in line. I was feeling a bit impatient with how long it took to get to the counter, but that my fault not there's for not scheduling ahead and they were just being thorough with each person to make sure each device is fixed correctly. Once helped the employee was helpful, offered insurance plan for other electronics if broke in the future and explained how they'd fix , price as well as estimated time my phone would be completed. I was told around 2-3 hours which was perfect because I'd have enough time to get all my other things done in the meantime. My phone ended up being ready after roughly two hours. It is now looking great and functioning well again. Make sure you don't lose your receipt you are handed or it will be hard to get your device back. It is your ticket to pick up. All in all great service. Again, I recommend an appointment with how busy it was when I went. read more

When bae dropped her phone with the charging cable attached, which subsequently broke off in the charging port (or so I incorrectly assumed), I performed Festivus feats of strength while attempting to pull the charging port out. I pulled so hard, I broke the charging port... because I WAS pulling the charging port and not the piece I assumed was lodged inside. I took my wife's phone here for Asurion repair. We set an appointment for repair and left the phone. There was only one employee and he said it would take the entire day because he was the only one. I know that phones are not water "proof" only "resistant". I know that once the screen is replaced they cannot say it is resistant anymore. Each replacement screen comes with a new water seal gasket. Apparently this guy chose not to replace it. Yes my wife accidentally got the phone wet (not submerged but small droplets), yes I understand that it is not guaranteed water resistant. But these guys didn't even try. They clearly didn't use the new seal. I took the phone apart myself and saw a large portion of seal missing as well as debris in the seal. There was also a small o-ring missing from the bottom external screw. It's not rocket science. Hell, it's not even that hard that this simple nurse couldn't figure it out and repair it properly. I have cancelled all insurance on my devices. I will just fix them myself. It's actually easy do do it right. I am giving this review because 1. It took all day because they cannot manage staff appropriately. 2. They half ass repaired the phone and obviously don't care. read more

Shady warranty and bad customer service. I was told my part repair a month ago would be under warranty for a year. A month later - screen cracked again which is what they originally fixed. I went in to get it repaired AGAIN. Guy warranty didn't cover the part and I kept asserting that it was covered because isn't that the point of a warranty? To cover a part they fixed? I guess not. Trent, the lead tech, came out and started barking at me raising his voice to explain it further. He could have said it calmly instead of yelling it to my face. It made me feel so uncomfortable. Batteries Plus suggested that I go here because they did not have the right battery ($69.99) for my Samsung Galaxy S7 (International model), but, as it turns out, all S7s use the same exact battery. Anywho, I walked through the unlocked door at 9:33 AM on a Tuesday and was greeted by a shout from somewhere behind the wall I was looking at: "We're not open yet, come back later". I said, "well, the door was open, so here I am". Why would I expect a techie, which this guy, Stef, obviously was, to understand how to communicate with fellow humans? Another older gentleman walked through the unlocked door as all this was happening and Stef told him, "we're not open yet, come back later", so the guy left. Stef then asked me if I had something I could do for 25 minutes and I replied: "Actually, no, I do not". It was only then that he decided to fill out a repair order on my phone, telling me to come back in two hours. Oh, and by the way, the price for the same battery I could get up the street at Batteries Plus for $70 was now $86 and change. I returned a about six hours later and was met by another asocial techie who gave me my phone and muttered: "that will be $86.29". As I gave him my credit card, I noticed that my phone with its, hopefully, new battery was only 9% charged. I told him that it would have been nice had they charged my new battery during the four extra hours they had it, but all I got was a blank stare. Earth to techie, come in techie! This place needs to hire someone with a personality to interact with the public because these guys are obviously clueless. Unfortunately, I read the many other 1-star reviews only after the debacle outlined above, so take heed. I will add an update once I see how my "new" $86 battery performs. The only reason that they did not receive my lowest rating is because they got it done on-time, it appears to work properly, and they did not break it as they did with some reviewer's electronics. I cracked the screen on my Samsung safe and took it to the Surprise store They didn't have it in stocks and ordered it. Over a week later it finally arrived and I brought the phone in for repair. I was masked but still asked to wait outside for my turn at the counter. I waited.putside for 50 minutes and watched other people come and go. PO'd I went in to a different person at the counter and posted a $145 deposit for a just under $300 quote. Long story short, they had my phone for over 30 hours and was told they couldn't complete the repair as their machine for the moisture test wasn't properly calibrated. I was referred to the Peoria store where the repair was completed in 3 hours AND for $180. Would I go to the Surprise store again? NOT A CHANCE read more

I brought in my apple watch to get a cracked screen repaired. After a week of no update or communication, I had called to get an update and was told that when they were putting a new screen on, the Apple logo popped up on the screen and wouldn't go any farther, no matter how much I or they tried to fix it. When I brought in the watch, it was completely functional just had a cracked screen. Once it wouldnt go past the apple screen I said to put the screen back on and I'll just pick it up and take it to the Apple store. I had no update while my device was there and when I called and was told my watch isnt working right anymore, I wasnt very happy. When I went to pick up my watch it looked more cracked then before and wasnt functional anymore. Had to wait a while just to talk to someone when I did go in. Against my advice, my wife took her MacBook Air to uBreakiFix in Surprise, AZ to have it diagnosed/repaired for some slow download and slow streaming issues. After having her laptop for several days, she was told that they were not able to repair the issues and suggested she take it to the Apple Store, which I had strongly urged in the first place. They also told her that they had removed all of her data and stored it on one of their hard drives and that they would down load it for her if she purchased an external hard drive and brought it to them for the transfer. At their suggestion, she purchased an external hard drive from Best Buy, to the tune of some $150, brought it back to uBiF and was told to come back the next day to pick up her data. She returned, picked up her external hard drive and downloaded the data only to find that IT WAS NOT HER DATA!! Her's was 5 years of data, proprietary to her business as a Real Estate Broker, and is vitally important to her. The data she received belonged to an obvious golf enthusiast. When my wife notified uBiF of their error, she was told that they would find her data and correct the error. Now, over a month after first bringing her laptop to uBiF, she has been told that her data is lost and cannot be found or recovered... and furthermore, they were not responsible for the loss of her data... sorry. 1. How do you remove someone's computer data and not make absolutely certain that it is safe, secure, retrievable and positively identified as to its owner? 2. Why would you remove the data in the first place if you were not capable of making the repair? 3. What do you reasonably expect the Apple Store to be able to do to repair a laptop whose logic board has been wiped clean? 4. How do you represent yourself as an expert computer repair service and then expect the word "sorry" to suffice after you have lost years of a customer's important data due to your incompetence? 5. How, as a self described 'professional computer repair service' do you claim not to be responsible for such a costly error that only you could have been responsible for? This experience has been so egregious, costly, fraught with obfuscations and lame excuses, and rife with absolutely unacceptable incompetence, that we are consulting with our attorney for advice with pursuing a proper remedy. If you own an Apple device, best take it to the Apple Store to resolve any issues and avoid a potentially costly outcome that, so far, the uBiF store in Surprise, AZ is either unwilling or technically incapable of taking responsibility for. read more

Fast, friendly and honest. I brought in my I-Pad Pro to see if they could fix my screen as Mac Media told me that Apple would replace the I-Pad for $650.00. After a quick look, UBreakIfix told me that they could replace the glass protection and the screen was fine. UBreakIfix replaced the Protective glass for just the cost of the glass. The Surprise location is where I went. Staff was friendly. I was paying for the protection plan or whatever they call it. There was much confusion on what things were covered and not. (Maybe due to newer employees not trained well in what the company can and can't do?) Usually everything was looking good. They were busy most of the time. Which to me was promising, as maybe that means they do a good job and know what they are doing. Besides putting glass screen protectors on a few phones, everything else was Never fixed or ended up worse. Towards the end of the just over a year that I was with them, I started getting frustrated with paying monthly for nothing! So I called Asurian directly and they confirmed that what I went through should not happen! They told me Not to go back to the store and deal with them directly. That is how I got my laptop fixed. The store said that I had to call Microsoft to fix my computer. Which is nonsense considering that Microsoft has nothing to do with hardware on a computer. Asurian sent me packaging and shipping labels. When they sent it back fixed, it had a paper with what they fixed. The hard-drive was corrupted! So they just replaced the hard drive. I guess the young kids whom work at the store didn't think to check that out. All I know is everything that I brought to the store either worked worse or needed more parts after they looked at it! Be AWARE! I went in to have a new battery installed in my wife's IPHONE, 11/29/2022. Although the man behind the counter was personable, seemed to go out of his way to provide a quick and efficient service completing the install in about 45 minutes, my problems started once returning home, checking my account to find I'd been overcharged. It took me 90 minutes of attempting to work through a convoluted voicemail system to finally get someone on the phone. Not the actual store but someone in a customer service dept. I was told they would correct the mistake and, in fact, the excess charge was credited back as of this morning. NOW the next day, I've received an email informing me that a Tech Repair service agreement "has been placed", that my credit card (Which they had from my initial payment) was to be charged 30 dollars per month on an auto pay setup that could only be cancelled by contacting them through an email or calling a service number that doesn't even work! It seems UBREAKIFIX has new owners or management and maybe they are going through a transition but I have filed reports to the CFPB and FTC because their actions are criminal for now. read more

So I took it to another company that opened it up, and found parts loose inside. He even went as far as purchasing a new drive. He said that the disc drive hard drive was switched out. Errors kept coming up. I knew the guy was honest, because he didn't charge me for his service. This was my first and last time dealing with WeBreakit. Absolutely terrible place to go to. I went in for a super quick fix on my computer, looking to get the bottom frame and hinges to be replaced. I took it in and DID NOT GET IT FIXED FOR 3+months. If you get Jr please.. please just ask for someone different; the most arrogant, hateful and condescending human I think I have ever encountered at a place. He was rude and talked down to be like I had no idea what was happening, he lied, broke my computer screen, and took his sweet time telling other people to work on my computer all for them to do it wrong as well. I would call and wait on hold for 20 minutes and they would say "your computer will be ready tomorrow" then would never receive a call so I would call back and they were constantly telling me a little longer. They put all the wrong parts on my computer I think 3 different times. Now, my computer does not turn on properly, the panel on the computer is still not fixed (the reason I brought it in in the first place) my computer is not touch screen anymore, and a key on my keyboard is cracked! Tried to get my iPad screen and battery replaced. Took a month. And now my iPad randomly shuts off when it shows it's charged (just shut off at 65%). Also, the screen goes dead and doesn't recognized its being touched and the only thing that seems to fix it is to restart the device. Which I have to do 1-2 times a day..... Went from a functional iPad Pro, albeit with a cracked screen (just glass broken, not LCD) to a half working, randomly dying, glitchy iPad. My cell phone recently went through the washing machine. I took it to uBreakIFix for repair. They thought they could fix it until they took it apart and inspected it. It was not repairable due to the water damage. Since they couldn't fix it, there was no charge. First off, not there fault the phone was damaged beyond repair.
