While you can order online through their website you have to use a different site if you want delivery as they only listed pick up in my cart. I wanted my order delivered so used Grubhub. I got a 4-piece fish and chips (cod) which came with 2-sauces, fries and coleslaw. I selected mango-chili fish sauce and yummy sauce. First I want to mention that not only did I pay a delivery fee but they also charged more for the 4-piece than if I ordered direct and picked up. Also paid a tip to my driver. Overall value for the meal and delivery was not there for me. The overall meal portion was well more than I needed. The pieces of cod were good sized, a fair portion of fries and a tiny side of slaw. Only got to try the mango-chili sauce as they gave two of those so no yummy sauce. Food was delivered timely enough that it was still hot. The slaw was not one I would care to have again. They make a cilantro coleslaw. Cilantro is something that is hard to get right and that was all I could taste. It overpowered any other flavors. I added a spoonful of the mango-chili sauce which made it palatable but if you are not a cilantro fan I would recommend you skip the slaw altogether. The fish looked awesome and was cooked tender and flakey but, there was absolutely no flavor or seasoning to it. The batter did not stick and slid off. The fish was super greasy which may have contributed to the batter sliding off. I don't know but without batter the flesh was slippery and flaked apart requiring the use of a fork. The mango-chili sauce was excellent. If I try these guys again, I will have to get another side as backup. The star of the show were the fries. These were lightly seasoned, not very greasy. They are crispy outside and tender inside. Sadly the fries and sauce saved the review from being one star. I have really wanted to try this place but it just didn't cut it for me. May have to try in person to see if it is better that way but it will be awhile.

When: Fri. Mar. 10, 2023 11:15 am Ordered the fish sandwich and fries... The battered fish between a Kaiser Bun with tartar sauce, cole slaw, and pickles were very tasty. The fries were hot and crispy. The service was very friendly and courteous. The ambiance here is primarily a take-out Eatery. They have about 4 to 5 tables inside, which makes the inside quite cozy, to say the very least. I will definitely return to try their other menu items like the Pacific Cod fish & chips, fish tacos, or salmon fish & chips.

Well, after reading the reviews we decided to make the trip up to try it. The food and service are top notch. This little hole in the wall in a strip mall is awesome. The Halibut was delicious as were the fries and coleslaw. Definitely worth the trip.

The fish and chips were perfectly battered, I am very particular when it comes to it and they did not disappoint. We also got the zucchini and fish tacos. So good. Friendly staff with great service. I'm not from the area but when I come back, I'll definitely stop in again. Thank you

We waited months to eat here after we saw their sign go up but found the doors locked and windows papered over. Today on our way to the grocery, we saw that they were open so we stopped and had dinner. I had the four piece fish ' chips, husband had the fried fish sandwich with chips. Both orders came with a small cup of good coleslaw. Everything arrived quickly and was fresh and oh so delicious. Glad to see they're doing well. We'll be back soon.

So good!!! We got the four piece cod/chips to go. Lightly battered, flaky and delicious fish. The chips are nice and crispy. Tartar sauce is house made and a great dipping sauce for the fish. Friendly staff that know how to make really good fish & chips. I highly recommend this little place if you're in the mood for fish. Located in a strip mall just off of Commercial.

I absolutely love this establishment and will continue to support them! I always order the two piece salmon and it is absolutely delicious and always fresh! The lady who takes my order I wish I knew her name and she has probably told me but I'm unable to remember it's always wonderful and friendly and greets me every time I come in! Go support this business. They are absolutely wonderful.

We ordered a captains plate (minus oysters ‍) and the gals shared a 4 piece fish and chips. The captains plate, being fried, was great. And the cod overall is quite tasty. Another reviewer marked them down for having mushy batter and I would say, it will be mushy if you leave it too long. It was light and crispy in the restaurant. Their tartar is dilly and nice. I ordered a chowder because I think one is obliged to try the chowder and while it is tasty, it is quite bacon forward. I would order it again... but I wouldn't call it the best chowder I've ever had. The fries are really crispy and delicious. The prices are fine. The service was good. Pleasant and friendly folks who answered our silly questions. The place is clean and tidy. If you are eating the food quickly after receiving it you will enjoy it I think. Small pieces of fish, and the fish was dry and the batter was mushy under the crisp exterior. The Gordon's fish pieces you buy at the grocery store are more tender and crisper. The clam strips were burned. Too dark, making them like chewing charcoal. Fries were good, but very small amount in comparison to splitting them amongst 8 pieces of fish. Value for the food was not good. Too expensive for the small amount of food you receive. Overpriced for quality and quantity.

The prawns weren't heavily battered, and the fries were crispy on the outside while still soft inside. Portions for both the chowder and entrées felt generous for the price. Service was friendly and quick. We were seated within about 5 minutes, had a little time to look over the menu, and our server came by shortly after. He gave a great recommendation for my friend's meal as well. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Saturday evening, but we got there right before the bigger dinner rush. Indoor seating filled up quickly, while the outdoor area was quieter because of the wind. That history is exactly why writing this is so hard. Something has changed, and not subtly. On my last two visits, the beer arrived warm! Not slightly off-temperature, but noticeably, unpleasantly warm. The chowder that used to be a signature has a different flavor profile now; it tastes like a recipe was altered or a key ingredient swapped out. And the fish was undercooked. That's wild, since it's friend and they use to check the pieces. You could see where they did in the past. I was served undercooked fish!! I hoped these mistakes were a one-offs, but a pattern has emerged. I've now seen over the last year. I'm so bummed. I'm not alone in noticing. I've run into other longtime regulars who've said the same things unprompted. That tells me this isn't bad luck. I actually saw two other tables have issues when I was in last week. I couldn't hear exactly what, but I could hear the apology and the waitresses face. The wait staff is defeated. I want to be clear: this is not about the waitstaff. The front-of-house team has been as friendly and attentive as ever. They're doing their jobs well. Whatever has shifted is happening at the kitchen or management level, and they shouldn't carry the weight of it. Frankly, I think this is an owner or manager issue. Something is very seriously wrong. I've given The Depot real chances because I genuinely wanted to be wrong. This last visit was the breaking point for me. I won't be back for now, and that genuinely saddens me, because this place earned a loyal customer over many years. To whoever is making decisions behind the scenes: your reputation was built on consistency and quality. People in this community remember what this restaurant was. I hope you hear the feedback that's coming your way and treat it as the signal it is, not noise. The Depot deserves to be the place it used to be. I hope it gets there. If anyone finds things turn around, please leave a review. I want to go back. I'll be watching, but I just can't go there again. It's not been good for so many of my last visits. This isn't just because they don't chill the beer glasses, don't have the wine, undercooked fish, out if items, or funky chowder. It's all of it.

I prefer my fish and chips with malt vinegar, but this one doesn't need it. It was seasoned well enough that it was good as is. The delicately crisp batter had just the right thickness that complemented the fish. I prefer skinnier fries, but I liked these thicker and wider cut chips that were like potato wedges.
