This was one of the most popular places that showed up on my feed so we decided to take a look. This place specializes in fish and chips! Most of the menu is fully deep fried items. We got the fish and chips and it came out pretty fast. The fish and chips were crispy and perfect. They also have a full bar in the restaurant. Their clam chowder was great. Very creamy and good flavor with some chunks of clam. The fish and chips comes with coleslaw and fries. I liked it but personally wouldn't get it again because everything is just fried and I personally like a balanced meal. read more

Stopped here before heading home after a beach day with the dogs because my friend was craving fish and chips. She ordered the salmon and chips with clam chowder, and I got the prawns and chips with clam chowder. The clam chowder was honestly really good -- flavorful, not overly thick, and packed with a good amount of clams. Definitely tasted much better than canned chowder considering this was my first time actually having it not in a can. The prawns and chips were also solid. The prawns weren't heavily battered, and the fries were crispy on the outside while still soft inside. Portions for both the chowder and entrées felt generous for the price. Service was friendly and quick. We were seated within about 5 minutes, had a little time to look over the menu, and our server came by shortly after. He gave a great recommendation for my friend's meal as well. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Saturday evening, but we got there right before the bigger dinner rush. Indoor seating filled up quickly, while the outdoor area was quieter because of the wind. There's a reason why this is the place that all the locals go to. They consistently have some of the best fish and chips around on the side of Oregon. The fish is always crispy and delicious. You can't go wrong with getting a three-piece halibut. It's very tender and they make their own tartar sauce. My husband has spoke with the owner and he takes care of his employees to make sure that they know the right way to make proper fish and chips. My parents came here for their first time visiting Lincoln City, and they absolutely loved it. We had some amazing calamari. That was way better than an overpriced shop closer to the beach. Although we didn't care for the clam chowder, everything else was amazing. I understand why my husband loves eating here time and time again whenever he's in Lincoln city. read more

The fried calamari was excellent. The popcorn shrimp were excellent. My fried halibut tasted a little on the dry side, but that was the first time I've ever had halibut. I've tried cod a few times and it always was moist and flaky. Maybe somebody can tell me was that normal for halibut to be a little more drier than cod. The beer batter on the halibut was excellent. Perfection! Seriously. Who'd have thought this somewhat diner-looking, views of the parking lot, black mats on the floor kind of place would have such great food, jazzy-blues-boogie music. The Pub in Lincoln City was a fun and tasty choice!!! The portions were very generous; there was enough to satisfy two hungry adults with one 4-piece, hot out of the fryer halibut and batter-dipped French fries, and two full-to-the -brim bowls of piping hot chowder. (We could have split one, btw!) The chowder was thicker than I prefer, but it was very tasty and chock full of chunks of clams. And did I say hot?!? Had there been any room in the bowl, I could have added a bit of cold milk to thin it out, and it still would have been plenty hot. And the fish? The fish was moist, tender and meaty, with batter that was the closer to perfection maybe I've ever had: not oily or soggy, it had a delightful crunch to every bite! The fries were also delightful, with a very light batter which added that crunch with soft potato inside). The basket came with a tiny portion of good, not overly dressed coleslaw, fresh lemon slices, and plenty of good tartar sauce. I bet their onion rings would be fantastic- if they have them. (I just asked Dave and he said they do and that he loves them, "... but a half basket is plenty. Don't be enticed by the full basket!" Next time!!! They have an extensive choice of beer on tap, a full bar, and a large list of "Boozy Milkshakes"- which Dave said are fantastic milkshakes with a lot of booze. My hubby was interested, but passed (this time, lol). Dave, our server, was a character in a very good way, making suggestions on ordering, chatting just a bit but not excessively. Funny. At $38, I'd highly recommend this place, and look forward to our next trip to the coast. If you go, please tell Dave that Joe and Amy will be back for the onion rings! read more

Unfortunately, the service was really disappointing. We spent a fair amount of money here and were dining on the patio. I went inside to grab some condiments from the tables, and the server told me I couldn't use them because condiments had been put in our bag. The problem was, there weren't actually any condiments in our bag. And since we were dining at the restaurant, I didn't want to have to open 20 individual ketchup packets when there was a ketchup bottle right inside. When I went to grab the condiments from an inside table, the server actually came back out and took them away from us. It was such a simple thing, but the way it was handled felt unnecessarily unfriendly and made the whole experience uncomfortable. We were paying customers eating on their patio--I really didn't expect using a bottle of ketchup to become an issue. Unfortunately, it left a pretty bad impression. read more

This place came highly recommended from a co-worker so we gave them a try. My friend suggested to try the specials because they are usually really good. I had the salmon fish and chips and the YS had the tuna. Both selections were very fresh fish served with fries. The server tried to sell us on the wine special for $18.95 priced down from $35. Which I couldn't help but laugh out loud because I knew the local store had it on sale for 3.95. We stuck with iced tea. The ambiance was fine. Me: What about the cute place you went with BF? Kid: Oh yah! that place is great. So we called it in to the pleasant lady on the phone, and picked it up ten minutes later. Drove it home. Everything was still hot. Pickles? really good with decent ranch for dipping. Clam chowder? I liked it a lot. Not too thick or thin, detectable clams, nice potatoes, and no terrible squishy celery chunks. I hate loathe and despise cooked celery. Fries? perfect. Sauces? all good. Coleslaw? not too bad. Not remotely slimy. Clam strips? Well they were a little dark, overfried, but still edible. It all hit the spot without breaking the bank. I wish they had bread or garlic bread as an option, they provided oyster crackers but I like dunking bread in chowder. Still, we will go again! read more

We were in Lincoln City for a couple of nights and originally planned to grab a bite at McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub--but after being completely ignored at the door, we decided to try a spot in the same parking lot instead. That turned out to be a great decision. The place was busy, but we were greeted right away with genuine enthusiasm and told the wait would be about five minutes--which was spot on. Once seated, we ordered a couple of specials: the battered coho with chips and the albacore tuna and chips. Both were outstanding. The batter was light and crisp with just the right crunch, and the fish inside was flaky, moist, and full of flavor. We usually end up taking some home, but not this time--we cleaned our plates. The two gentlemen working the front were clearly hustling, yet still managed to be friendly, attentive, and engaging throughout. If six stars were an option, we'd give them. The restaurant is very clean and the style is awesome. We were seated immediately even though it was somewhat busy. The waitress was very friendly and responsive.
