For starters the restaurant was very cool. You can tell it's been around for a while. We were met with a smile at the counter and very happy servers. They answered all our questions. After ordering we ate and the food was incredible. Fries were fresh, and the burgers were so delicious!! It all came out hot and fresh! We met the owner and he was awesome! He thanked us for coming. A definite must stop in depoe bay Oregon! We were drawn in by the smells and pictures of delicious looking burgers. If they only have one thing on the menu you know they better do it right! The burgers were extremely fresh and you could tell the fries were hand cut and seasoned. The burger sauce was delicious as well. Service was friendly and quick. We got here around 6.30 on a Saturday evening. The place was almost empty, so our food was out pretty quick. We ordered 101 and 202 combos. We found the 101 a little too light; the 202 was a much better balance. The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. We did wish there was ketchup and ice available without needing to ask. read more

One weekend, my boys went surfing. When they came home, all they could talk about was this amazing burger--not even the waves! So, of course, we went back the next weekend to check it out. If you want a nice, old fashioned burger this is the place. I've eaten at the Newport and Depoe Bay locations, both excellent. This is a personal preference but the regular fries are better than the spicy fries. No frills, just good food. read more

This place is awesome. It is a hole in the wall. Very informal. Cashier was the cook. The choices you have are.., How many patties (1, 2 or 3)? Any topping removals? Raw or grilled onions? Then you grab your drink out of the case and hangout. The burger is great. It is just a classic burger with great flavor. The fries are a bit greasy and salty, which adds to the classic feel. I loved it. Our food traveled about 10-15 minutes from grill to table, and it held up well. Also very affordable in the current world. 5/5. Would love to see more places like this. We stopped by this little place while visiting Depoe Bay this week and it did not disappoint! When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by two young men who were so friendly and had big smiles. We placed our order and the one young man was even nice enough to recommend the combo to save money which I really appreciated. We both ordered the double cheeseburger and shared an order of fries which was plenty for us both. We also got two sides of fry sauce that was amazing!! The double cheeseburgers were delicious! Honestly, one of the best burgers we've had in a while and that's saying a lot cause we're super picky . The fries were perfect - not overcooked or soggy. And if we're being really really picky - my only critique is that I wished the fries were in a bag or sleeve of some sort instead of the bottom of our order bag. The grease kinda seeped through the bag a little. They did tell us it would be a bit before our order would be ready so we said we would walk the other shops a bit and return. When I returned to grab our order, the one young man met me at the door and was so friendly in handing over our food. We usually go to the counterpart up in Lincoln City, this one is a small hole in the wall kind of place. They got 4 small tables for 2 and not a lot of room inside. The burgers are good, fries were definitely too dark and overfried. They do a good solid burger, if you are hungry order a size up, the 101 is more for kids or seniors, the 202 or 303 are the ones that fill an adult best. read more

Though we love the seafood in Depot Bay, we happened to be in the mood for a burger. After walking around a bit we found Burger 101. We discovered this small unassuming restaurant is turning out some great burgers. The standard burger has two patties. They were cooked to perfection served on a fresh soft buns with fresh toppings. The fries were freshly fried, not sitting in a basket for an hour. The service here was also great. This is a perfect summer place to stop and pick up a great tasting burger. read more

I have to say this place serves a good burger. Very simple and traditional, and the menu is simple. Fries are good as well as is the fry sauce. I recommend it, but my only complaint is they are a little stingy with the sides of ketchup, the little cups they give aren't even full. Put a bottle on the table for god's sake! read more

We were staying in town and wanted some good burgers so we went here and it was the best decision. Burgers are fire and so tasty. Everything was made fresh and the menu is so easy to understand. Reminds me of in-n-out, simple. They even write your name in the fry sauce which is cool. The workers are very nice and welcoming. Recently came in and had one of the best experiences I've had in a while. Kj was nice and amazing at customer service. He was very amazing to talk to and even let me throw squid at the dart board for fun. So, the burgers taste delicious and the fries are pretty good. Your order gets you fries and a single, double or triple burger.The burgers (meat) are TINY, very very small so be sure to order a larger one than you usually would. My poor review is because gluten gives me a rash and aching joints- so I asked for my burger bunless, but he put it in a bun anyway so I had serious cross contamination which I reacted to even though I threw the bun away. The place is TINY but that makes it fun. We took our order to go for some elbow room outside. read more

I had the fisherman's skillet which comes with cod and scallops and shrimp over potatoes and hollandaise sauce and a couple over easy eggs. This was a bit different for me but it absolutely works amazing together. The ingredients are all fresh and rich in flavor. Salt proportions for me were balanced and the heat for the meal was right off the burner so I'm happy with that. I'm very pleased with this place for breakfast and will most definitely give it a lunch attempt at some point. Very good and very nice seafood themed menu that complements going into adventure. I love a key that tempts you to try something new and this menu does it for me! There's directions you can go like sweet savory carb protein fish meat etc and in each direction I'm seeing something that looks fun to try or downright delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. I am though wondering why more aren't here because this is on the 101 and the food is great along with service and the dining room and facilities.

It came with navy bean soup that warmed me up from the storm. Great evening before driving carefully back to my dark, cold, wet neighborhood!
