Salishan is a great pour in a small roadside shack really. The people are friendly, the staff is friendly, the drinks are strong and it's clean. They don't have much but you come here for little, just a good drink and friendly people to converse with. The food looks decent but I have not tried yet. This is a great place to pregame your dinner at side door or just to have an after work drink to clear your head.... I love the area the people and the culture here, very laid back and comfortable and extra friendly... being from socal I have to get used to it. I came here a year ago and really like this place. I wanted to come back to have a drink and check out the cool vibe of this place. Killer drinks and good food. I got the nachos and a chicken quesadilla. Michelle the bartender brought us some plates, utinsils and napkins over l. The food came out hot and delicious. I really enjoyed the nachos and the quesadilla was really cheesy with big chunks of chicken in it. Michelle made us her special drink shots with a strawberry on the side of the glass and they were da bomb!! She's the best ever!!! It was the first place I went to when I got to the coast and I always enjoy it here!! read more

Mark mark mark mark! Best bartender dare I say tender in general. Sold us on the pulled pork nachos, and they were amazing. The atmosphere was beyond welcoming and cozy, inside and outside seating, were from Astoria and were happy to have a local vibe away from the tourists! Can't wish to come back! Love yall read more

Went three times during our annual Oregon Coast Vacation. The food is good and its unfortunate the service is not. Rude unfriendly bartender and she is ridiculously abrasive. If she's working I would walk right back out. Lots of better choices and better service on the coast where you feel appreciated as a customer not a nuisance. read more

Food is okay , I recommend their pizza if you want a big bang for your buck , service is fast attentive engaging and helpful, ambience for a small tavern is nice , you have the same locals and occasionally the loud travelers, but it's a friendly bar with friendly like minded individuals who want to have a good time. read more

While staying in Depoe Bay Oregon, we were fortunate enough to find an amazing neighborhood tavern. This quaint little place on a side street off of Highway 101 is a true gem! When walking in as visitors, we were greeted as if we were family. A very clean environment. The menu might seem like normal bar fare as well as pizza, but once entering you'll find everything is absolutely amazing! The food is always made to order. The burgers are hand formed and pressed, the pork smoked daily. Produce is fresh, amazing curly fries out of their air fryer and a hot specialty pizza out of the oven. The pride and presentation is spectacular. The best thing about this place is the service. Extremely friendly and professional. You're meant to feel at home. Michelle, the bartender/server is without a doubt one of the most amazing individuals we have ever met. She is professional, knowledgeable, and extremely welcoming. She alone is worth the visit to Salishack Tavern. It is without question that we recommend a visit to have a drink and a quality meal at Salishack. Nothing went wrong for me! Stopped in for some grub about 8:00 p.m. . Coors Light on tap, check. Ask for recommendation between pulled pork sandwich and the gyro, proprietor suggested the street tacos (!) but of the two to take the gyro. So I did! It was fabulous I wouldn't have expected a Greek kebab, authentic tasting gyro from a tavern at the Oregon coast, but that's what I got. Comes with choice of side and a bag of chips, was large enough that I was embarrassed to eat it by myself in public. Wrapped up the rest & took it with me - good call. The young enough, but wise enough, proprietor seems to be establishing a good thing. Local hang out tavern with food to please. The ownership has disrespected employees in the past. Their management style has run off a lot of old time regulars that used. To hang out there. I will not go back until this place is under new management because for the last 3 1/2 years it's been a disappointment. read more

Yayyy Salishack has been renovated and is SO much better! The inside structurally didn't change but got a complete cosmetic update. Clean bathrooms, new flooring, new bar top, etc etc. Still a dive, but a kept-up clean one. The food is bar/dive food but really good at that, especially considering the options in the area. Pulled pork: delicious.... saw them pulling the next batch off the smoker and knew we had to order it! Burger: loved it, the quintessential classic burger. Special sauce, shredded lettuce, etc. it was perfect. Fries: basic crinkle fries but had good seasoning on it Beer selection: fantastic... I think they had like 15 taps? Pint of craft beer for $4.50, sign me up Can't wait to come back :) read more

Not a fan. Can't figure out how it got a 4 star average. Too many other taverns around here that are far better. If you're just going fit drinks, it's a good stop. Pros and cons... Pros: attentive bartender, good brews, convenient location, decent burger. Cons: smoking is allowed in the patio, the pizza was a 1 out of 10. Soggy and just bad. Salad was a 1 out of 10... how can you mess up a salad? It was white lettuce with dressing. The chicken philly cheese steak was so greasy is was inedible. So, avoid eating here. read more

This little old school neighborhood tavern is a gold nugget just off Hwy 101 south of Lincoln City. Clean and funky with a rather surprising menu and ice cold bottles of Heineken Zero for us who no longer partake of alcohol. My daughter had the "best she's ever eaten" mushroom, Swiss burger cooked to perfection. I (being gluten free) ordered the hummus plate with grilled chicken added but substituting lettuce for the pita bread. The hummus was freshly made with great flavor, the vegetables were fresh and crisp: romaine lettuce, sliced cucumber, sliced tomatoes, a red onion slice with feta cheese. Using my plastic cutlery I chopped veggies, added the chicken, cheese and hummus for a wonderfully delicious and generous Mediterranean salad. The wait staff was the bartender, who was most pleasant and attentive. There were a number of locals at the bar who obviously were "regulars" all watching the Men's final March Madness basketball game (UConn v San Diego State). The weather was unpredictable so we couldn't eat outside on the patio but hope to return during a period of warmer and drier days. I can recommend this tavern without reservation based on my experience. read more

Wow, based on a 4 star rating, we thought we'd check this restaurant out for lunch. We entered the door into a bar -- where several people were already seated at the counter and one large table. We were promptly greeted and we stated we were "looking for lunch", asked if there were tables available as they appeared to be behind drapery so we thought that area might be closed. We were told they were available and to sit anywhere. Our hostess arrived promptly asking what we'd like to drink. When we said water, she gave a snarky response reminding us that we were in a tavern and left us with menus. I was hoping for fries but overheard a comment that they were all out -- at straight up 11:55 a.m. I thought it must be a joke but it was not. I was hoping for breakfast but that is only served on Sundays; my bad for not reading the menu more closely. Upshot is we left without ordering and while this might be a popular watering hole, I would pass on eating here. read more

Back in its day it was probably a cute place. Now it smells like a bathroom and not a clean one. The owner/bartender serms to be angry a lot. Don't use WiFi as it drives him crazy. The selection of beers, ciders, etc, were sad and pathetically lacking. The pool table was dimly lit. Don't try for a soda....there are none except his private stash of Diet Pepsi and he is loathe to sell them. Does not sell food. The floor slopes in places and feels as it might fall in in others. I will never be back. It was a very unpleasant experience. read more

We live in Lincoln Beach and have not been to Salishack for over 10 years. Given the joint has a new owner, we tried it out. And we're glad we did! Our waiter was working his first day. We had questions, he got answers. He was doing his personal best and it worked! The hamburgers were great and the environment friendly and relaxed. We'll visit again soon! read more

We are here from Texas and staying near here ... talked with some locals ... ate some good food ... the best part is they serve Eola Hills Red Blend wine which is my favorite. I had the MEAT LOVER'S SKILLET 19.50 Bacon, diced ham and sausage crumbles with peppers and onions over a bed of Breakfast Potatoes covered with Tillamook cheese and two eggs. It was piping hot, great presentation and really good. Biscuits were outstanding, did have to "ask" for jam & honey for the biscuit, nothing on the table. Oh and I shant forget the serving was huge. I believe brother had a special of fried clams, with all the breakfast fixings, which was also delicious. We each had leftovers, which we took back to our hotel. Server was very nice and the locals seemed to be out in force on the day we were there. I would go back on my next trip to the Oregon coast.

We haven't been there for quite some time, but we remembered previous visits as being good food for a reasonable price. Both I and our friend ordered prime rib. I had Pier101's prime rib a couple of years ago and it was excellent. Unfortunately, that was not the case today. It looked good when it was served altho I noticed it was thicker than the usual cut, but when we tried to cut it using the serrated knife that came with it, we both had a very difficult time. The the flavor was ok, but it was almost unchewable. We both had a couple of bites and just gave up. To add t our misery, the Caesar salad Romaine lettuce was limp and tasteless and the broccoli served with the prime rib was cold and hard...almost uncooked. I like my vegetables crispy, but this was ridiculous. My husband ordered stuffed shrimp and only ate a few bites. He loves shrimp, but he said the meal wasn't good. When our waiter came to remove our dinner plates and realized we hadn't eaten much he brought the manager to our table (after a rather long wait when we just wanted to leave). She apologized and said sometimes the prime rib they get isn't that good. My question then is why serve it? Anyway, they gave us half off so we ended up spending almost $80 and went home hungry. Needless to say, we will not be going to Pier 101 again...ever!

I wouldn't recommend the marinara sauce or ranch dressing to get on the side as they are not made in house and don't taste great.

We visited during Happy Hour (3-5 PM), where the Margherita pizzas are only $15--which was perfect for us. We also ordered a Double Oaked Old Fashioned and a gin gimlet. It's so much fun to watch the chefs spinning the dough and sliding pizzas into the oven. Our pizza was delicious and the drinks were tasty. It was a great experience, and we will definitely be back!
