This fish food truck was really good. The fish was crisp and fresh, the fries were not too oily. A really great food truck experience if you ask me. I do wish they had malted vinegar because that would have put this meal over the top for me!!

Bf and I really enjoyed eating here! First time we ordered was on delivery app and we both got fish sandwiches. The fried fish was excellent and toppings gave it a fresh cut to the crispy oily fish so nice contrast! The bun also delicious and has a slight crunch. I love when buns are toasted! We went to the yard and didn't realize they were a food truck so we were excited to order. They have a wide range of fried fish, oysters, calamari, and other things. The fish and chip is going to be my next try! They so offer a party option that ofceres everything to try which is nice. The seasoning of the fried fish is good and the fried also has this citrus hints to it and flavorful. Bf is really picky with his food, but he always finishes his meal when we eat at this place. Great sandwiches and made really quickly which is nice!

    Perfectly gold and crispy! Delicious!

Crispy, golden on the outside, delicately perfect on the inside; Baja Fish knows what fish and chips should be and they nail it. Simple. Tasty. And those fries! Honestly, I'd go back for just the fries. Also, the tartar sauce is on point! I don't like my tartar sauce too sweet and this had a deliciously dill tang that I love. Don't forget to mix some of that goodness up with your ketchup for an excellent fry sauce. I've also tried their fish sandwiches and you should too! So yummy! Word on the street is that they're opening a second truck on Commercial for fish tacos. If that doesn't put a smile (maybe a little drool) on your face, then you don't love fish and you shouldn't be reading this.

Fish Sandwich, Ensenada Style but sub tartar sauce for the cilantro lime crema

Their ciders are great, I tried the Viking Cherry Cider and loved it so much I bought a six pack to take home, at $18 for 6 it was still absolutely well worth it. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.

The inside atmosphere is sports bar fabulous plenty of seating for groups or couples. We shared a juicy hazy IPA and an order of scotch eggs while sitting on the patio, which is shaded and comfortable with both picnic tables and bar-top seating. I was thrilled to find that the scotch eggs were not only delicious but also authentically prepared. The yolk was soft and slightly runny, and the crust was perfectly crisp and flavorful. This establishment is a true hidden gem. While the food prices are a little steep, the quality definitely makes it worthwhile. We will be back!

We ordered a captains plate (minus oysters ‍) and the gals shared a 4 piece fish and chips. The captains plate, being fried, was great. And the cod overall is quite tasty. Another reviewer marked them down for having mushy batter and I would say, it will be mushy if you leave it too long. It was light and crispy in the restaurant. Their tartar is dilly and nice. I ordered a chowder because I think one is obliged to try the chowder and while it is tasty, it is quite bacon forward. I would order it again... but I wouldn't call it the best chowder I've ever had. The fries are really crispy and delicious. The prices are fine. The service was good. Pleasant and friendly folks who answered our silly questions. The place is clean and tidy. If you are eating the food quickly after receiving it you will enjoy it I think. I'm not in Salem a lot but if I want fish and chips I'd stop in again.

Small pieces of fish, and the fish was dry and the batter was mushy under the crisp exterior. The Gordon's fish pieces you buy at the grocery store are more tender and crisper. The clam strips were burned. Too dark, making them like chewing charcoal. Fries were good, but very small amount in comparison to splitting them amongst 8 pieces of fish. Value for the food was not good. Too expensive for the small amount of food you receive. Overpriced for quality and quantity.

She took SUCH good care of us and was super knowledgeable about the menu items and market prices. We got our drinks within minutes and she made sure they were never empty. Not to mention, she checked in on us multiple times during our visit. I ordered the combo # 2 and added a Dungeness crab to it. That bad boy was FRESH. The whole boil was dripping in sauce, cooked perfectly and let me tell you... the Louisiana flavor seasoning is IT!! It's the perfect mix of Cajun and garlic butter. The main star was definitely the Dungeness, but the snow crab was a close second! The legs were a really good size and full of meat! The shrimp was great too! (I always get head-on) I left soooo full and satisfied! Overall, the food was amazing and the service was the best I have received in years.. We will be back soon!

Mixed Bag (o crab)…read more The food was almost all great. We tried garlic fries, salad, clam chowder, snow crab, king crab, and lobster. DS picked this restaurant for celebrating his 18th b-day, so it was disappointing that his king crab was twice as expensive as the snow crab and not great quality. Everything else was great - fresh, saucy, and well-seasoned. I liked that we could add potatoes and sausages to fill out our meal. The service was weird. Our waitress was really sweet and friendly, but seemed clueless. There was nothing on the table - no napkins or salt shakers or utensils. I had to ask for a fork for my salad, then for utensils for the crabs. The ambience was a mixed bag. There was a homeless guy next to our van and signs of a recent campfire. The restaurant was mostly empty, but they didn't offer my family a booth - we had to sit with our kids at a table in the bar. The lighting was good. It was very frustrating not to have metal forks and crab picks. It feels like a high end restaurant, but the utensils are cheep disposable plastic and there was a weird robot was talking too loudly in a weird high pitched girlish voice. The bathroom was really dirty. Overall, I would eat here if someone else were paying because the food was mostly great. For the price, I would want a few improvements.
