I am from the New Orleans area and anytime I eat seafood outside of Louisiana, it's with some acceptance that it will likely be bland. Well, not at this food truck! I got the crab legs with Cajun butter sauce and they hit the mark perfectly! It was actually shocking that the flavor was so perfect. Well done all the way around. Well, I'm back at it again. I just cannot stay away from this grab. It is so delicious. I think we spent maybe $50 this time and we had enough food for my daughter and I and then I had one more meal out of that crab so it was three meals for $50 certainly well worth it. Seafood boil looked promising but I wanted something smaller so I ordered the crab cakes ($14). It was a breaded patty with filler and imitation crab. It was very salty on its own but I dipped it in a bit of cajun butter to see if it'd be better. I ate one and called it quits. If you're in the mood for seafood, stick to the seafood boil options. The food was okay; we found the potatoes were not quite cooked through and had a little bite. The crab was fresh and my husband liked his shrimp. The garlic butter lacked that garlic kick. I am very familiar with crab and yet, it took my twenty-four years to find the best crab of my life. Nothing compares to the freshness, the flavor, and most importantly, the AMAZING staff here. I wish I could give just the staff alone twenty stars. They are so friendly, kind, and informative. I usually get some combination of 1-2 crab clusters, corn, and potatoes, whereas my friends will get the same plus egg and sausage. There are different butters you can pick from and I usually get the garlic butter. Every. Single. Item. Is. Amazing. The crab is warm and delicious. The legs are easy to crack and get those giant pieces you dream of, which then you dip into the pool of melted garlic butter, and enter a dreamy food haze of amazingness. The corn and potatoes sit in happy puddle of garlic butter, adding flavor the longer you wait to eat them. The corn is perfectly seasoned and cooked to the point that it's easy to eat off the cob but still firm. The potatoes literally melt in your mouth. I Had the original crab platter and was not disappointed. It's not exactly cheap, but I have paid more for less at seafood restaurants. The quality is pretty damn excellent; everything is tender and covered in buttery goodness. Spice level was just perfect for me, but those sensitive to heat might want to reconsider or ask for a mild option. Honestly, it's definitely one of the better seafood options in Salem. First time, and it was THE BOMB!!! Had the #1 Crab and Shrimp Deluxe with the Honey Garlic Sauce. Order has Crab, Shrimp, Sausage, Corn, and Potatoes. All cooked perfectly!!! YUM!!! Also had a side of Lobster, again, cooked to Perfection!!! And on a Friday Night!!! Excellent Aroma, Excellent Taste, couldn't ask for more! OK, at first I was hesitant to order seafood from a food truck. But today I pulled the trigger and thank goodness I did! I recently moved from Sacramento to Salem and haven't found any restaurants that I love but let me tell you... This is the best thing I've had in Salem!! The spice is on point! Lots of seasoning dusted on the crab and shrimp, the bottom of your platter has ample butter (I chose garlic butter ) and the cook was perfection on the potatoes and shrimp. I haven't been to The Yard in quite a while but since things have been getting better with restrictions, my girl and I thought we would give it a chance and go check it out. We were pleased to find this cart open and the menu looked amazing. Everything we wanted and even more. We ended up getting the Shimip Lovers plate (# 4) which was 16 shrimp, potatoes, a sausage, corn on the cob and an hard boiled egg plus a cluster of crab. They also give you a choice of what kind of butter you want, we decided to go with the garlic parmesan, I highly recommend it, it was addicting! What can I tell you, that platter of food was more than enough for the both of us. Everything tasted amazing from the crab and potatoes to the shrimp that were cooked perfectly. Side notes: The Yard Food Park is an upper-scale food cart station that offers communal indoor seating where you can enjoy a nice cold beer from one of nearly 30 taps while you wait for your food to be prepared. So delicious! My barber is friends with the guy who started this seafood truck at The Yard and had been raving about how good it was going to be. Happened to be sitting in his chair shortly after the soft opening and he was telling me about his experience so I headed over to check it out myself as soon as my cut was complete. Wanted to try as much as possible so got the Crab & Shrimp Deluxe, could have added a lobster tail to that if I truly wanted to "try it all", but I resisted that temptation to save for another visit. There is a choice of 7 different butter preparations to choose from some spicy, some citrusy, and even a sweet honey garlic. You can add a Crab Cracker for a small extra fee and I would recommend that, especially if you don't have one at home because, believe me, unless you are sharing with several people, you most definitely will have yummy leftovers to take home. Everything was perfectly cooked, and super flavorful. May seem pricey for food truck fare, but, like I said, there is more than enough in the Crab & Shrimp Deluxe, at least to feed 3 or 4 people, and this is fresh, high quality seafood, you get what you pay for. read more

We were celebrating a birthday and ordered the Crab & Shrimp platters, crab clusters, lobster tails and their sausage. It was a pretty big order and I usually get nervous about quality when I order an abundance of food. The gentleman who prepared our food did a stellar job as it was hot and delicious. In addition to the seafood, the variety in the platters was phenomenal (corn, potatoes and hard boiled egg) and the portion size was amazing. With this being to-go containers, I could tell that there was a lot of care put into how our items were packaged which was beyond appreciated!
