Had lunch here recently for the first time. My daughter and I shared two entrées, the chow mein with beef and the drunken noodles with chicken along with an order of spring rolls. Spring rolls were very crispy and delicious, serving was eight small spring rolls. The drunken noodles and chow mein were both very good. Nice portions. A little spendy, but I guess everything is nowadays. But ended up being around $40 for lunch. I'm usually more of a Chinese food $10 lunch special kind of girl. Ordered with Uber Eats and crab Rangoon were great. Cashew nuts were swimming in sauce with lots of fish oil. I am not a picky eater however this dish turned my stomach. I assume that they actually have a great dish here and this time they just used too much fish oil in their sauce or something however this is not a dish that I would be willing to try again especially with the high cost of delivery. The beef in the main dishes were very chewy and tough. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like ketchup, the chow main noodles were mushy. Very small portion for what you pay for, very overpriced. There are much better option out there. read more

I have been here a couple times and love it. The food is good and they always make anything spicy when I ask for it. My partner loves the kua kai and i love their drunken noodles and the pad see ew was really good too. Looking forward to trying their curry. Where table we had to get up and get our own menus. She would not bring menus to our table as she did for the other tables.It had taken more than 20 minutes to get waited on. The woman went to another table. They came in after us and we still had to wait even longer. When I went up to the counter and asked are you going to wait on us? She said I am busy. I will be there when I can. Then when she did come to the table, she was rude as well as very short with of us at our table. She did not bring our drinks until after the food had came out. When she brought the utensils out, she made sure that my utensils were not placed anywhere near me. Even my drink was also not placed anywhere near me. She made us feel like we were not welcome into her establishment. She would come out and check on the other tables and never took the time to check on our table. She did not come out and check on us until she brought the bill to the table. This was the first time that I actually sat down in the restaurant for service. That will be the LAST time that I will sit down for service in that restaurant to be treated with such disrespect from one of the owners in the restaurant! I had never done anything rude or disrespectful to her! Such a disappointment and it ruined the meal! The table that was beside us as they were leaving they also said next time we should go somewhere else. I only could assume that they also receive poor service from the young lady as well. read more

The best part of this place was our waitress. We've been holidaying for 3 weeks now and she's the best server hands down!! Friendly, funny and efficient but not overbearing. I'll measure all servers by her standard now. The food was average. We had the tom kha soup and a shrimp dish with avocados and veggies that came with a peanut sauce and shrimp type dipping sauce. The shrimp were coated and fried and they were actually good, the veggies were a good choice too as we've been eating a lot of fried foods while on the road so they were a welcome treat. The soup was overpowered with the lime. I prefer the soup base to have a coconut forward flavour. The base is the star of the show and it was not what I expect for Tom kha. read more

Ok- so heres the deal. I try to be very objective, and when Im hungry, ratings might get skewed a bit, but this place is legitimately good. Fresh salad rolls, crab fried shrimp and peanut lovers dish with chicken..... I don't know if this is just normal cooking for them or they are really above average..??? The server was gracious in providing extra dishes to allow us to eat family style, sharing our food. I found myself in Salem today and when it came time to eat lunch, I browsed Yelp until something struck my fancy. This spot - which I won't try to pronounce - sounded good so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I ordered takeout online via grub hub and went with the chicken pad thai. I really liked their process because it asked me for a spice level from 0-5. I picked 2 (I'm growing whimpy in my old age) and was on my way. Even though it said my food would be ready in 30-45 minutes, I got a notification soon after placing my order that it would be ready in 10-20. I picked up my food about 15 minutes after ordering it and it was waiting for me on the table. It was delicious and the spice level was just right. I got a small kick...just enough to make my nose wet, but not so much that I had to slow down. I may up it to 3 next time I'm in town if I'm feeling spry. I would say it probably wasn't the best pad thai I've ever had but it was darn good and I'd definitely go back. read more

What happened? New ownership? We have eaten here regularly the last few years, always good, consistent Thai food. We have not eaten there for about 6 months. I brought home an order of Papaya Salad, and Penang Curry. The Curry was extremely thin, the veggies were terribly overcooked, The Salad was mostly lettuce, dressing, and tomato peels. I have driven by Bai Bua Thai Kitchen many times. Finally I decided to stop and try it, as I love some awesome Pad Thai. I was greeted and taken to my table. The waitress left me with a menu. It was quite some time before she came back to take my order. But I didn't mind as it gave me plenty of time to peruse the menu. I ordered the spring rolls and chicken pad thai. It was served with miso soup. Everything was wonderful. And there was a lot of food. I had leftovers for dinner and lunch the next day! I gladly recommend this place. read more

Found this Thai restaurant well driving around Salem to stem the boredom of quarantine. For being a random restaurant that we found, it definitely left an impact. I guess I'm on a mango kick, as I was immediately drawn to the Mango chicken. Huge chunks of mango and slices of chicken. The spice was perfect at a level 4. Just enough burn to release those endorphins while still being able to enjoy the flavors of everything around it. The only things we had to note was that the pot sticker wrapper felt a little chewy although the filling more than made up for it. There was also some issue with our card being charged twice, but the lady behind the cashier was very nice through out this process. read more
