Bathhouse was exactly what I needed -- a perfect mix of relaxation and atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed, clean, and gives off a calm, upscale vibe from the moment you walk in. I loved rotating between the different pools and saunas, and the overall experience felt both rejuvenating and social without being overwhelming. Staff was friendly, everything felt well maintained, and the whole visit helped me completely unplug for a few hours. Definitely a great spot for a reset day with friends or even a solo self-care escape. I'll absolutely be back.

This was my first time coming to bathhouse. I purchased the first timer day pass which included a personal tour. They show you around and also encourage you to try the afgus. I honestly can say I accomplished things I never thought I would prior to coming to this spa. I came at 7pm and it was pretty crowded. The place it HUGE so it wasn't like we were all crammed up. This spa is a unisex spa so both woman and men share spaces. With that being said, there was a lot of boo loving going on lol (nothing inappropriate though) I went to the cafe and had pork dumplings and a Mai tai. I honestly was not a fan of the Mai tai. It tasted like prune juice. This is just my personal opinion** the dumplings were fine but I also wasn't feeling all of the oil it was sitting in. ‍ I'm going to try their other location in Flatiron but I also look forward to returning to this location. Maybe with my boo

Came here plenty during the summer - mostly used the rooftop pool but took dips in their other pools downstairs. Rooftop pool is amazing, especially on early, random weekdays. So peaceful and relaxing. I loved how they also had beanbags so non-daybed visitors aren't restricted to sitting on concrete. I also appreciated the locker cleanliness, plus they were never out of supplies. Only thing to note is that the shower drains get clogged easily so there were some issues with that.

I've been here a few times now and have always enjoyed coming here. This was my first time being back since they added the rooftop pool and additional baths. I recommend going on a weekday when it is less crowded. The additional space has helped with that but it still gets pretty busy. This was my second time dining in the cafe. This time there was an automatic 20% gratuity included. This is after paying at the counter, $17 for 4 wings, getting my own water, and getting the hot sauce that the staff member said "you can go grab yourself". Other than cook the chicken myself, I did most of the work but was charged a mandatory 20% tip. It ended up being over $5/wing. Definitely recommend eating in the area beforehand. I understand the automated tip at the rooftop bar where they are serving you.

Celebrating my Bestie, we had an early Saturday spa day! Loved the facilities and the attentive and professional service. Not having to leave the Borough was certainly a plus. Glad we arrived early because it gets crowded. Food was tasty and just enough.

Did a day pass on the hottest day of the year. I went at 9AM and there were people waiting outside before they opened. First off, this place is huge, 2 floors of saunas and cold plunges, a restaurant and impressive Rooftop pool with a view. The Cold Plunge on the main floor at 44 degrees is huge and definitely cold. The Cold Plunge on the lower floor at 52 degrees is less impactful and smaller. The Banya and Steam Sauna were my favorites (over the Tropical and Dry Sauna). The mini sauna on the roof was not working. Locker rooms were clean enough with showers. Can definitely get busy and loud especially after 5pm and all day crowdedness on the Roof if it is a sunny summer day. There are some seats on the roof which do not require purchase like a daybed which is nice. Plenty of towels to go around. There are water fountains. I didn't have any large issues with cleanliness at the location, which was a prior complaint. A lot of staff members and were generally friendly. Nice that you can buy a Day Pass and stay there all day (ranges from $35-$85) - they seem to be implementing some type of dynamic pricing. Prices also seem to be trending higher. I did not partake in the massages, restaurants or mini bar area on the Roof. Would definitely come back on an Occasional basis.

If you're looking for a relaxing place, this is not the spot. To start, it's not a very diverse crowd (cue being awkwardly misfit already before even getting into a bathing suit because you're not a certain "type"). The awkward stares from staff and people who fit the "type" while you walk pass them is quite an experience no one ever should be in. The background music was not relaxing. The minute you walk in, you get an overwhelming hit of essential oils synging up your nose. Also, if you have a question, dont ask because attitude is part of their service. The vibes were not there, or well, at least if you werent one of "them.' If you do decide to come here, just be aware that taking a photo of the outside of a pretty sauna entrance for your yelp review is grounds for removal (when i clearly saw other people taking photos too) but couples showing way too much pda in the pools is fine. The staff member that told me no phones couldn't just tell me nicely, she yelled "no phones" super loudly as to embarrass me, then watched me pick up my stuff and closely followed me into the locker room as if I would take it out again after that embarrassing moment. So yeah, I left and I'm not coming back. If youre traveling and looking to relax at a bathhouse, check out an OG korean spa instead. They're much nicer and don't belittle you. One thing to note, the cleaning staff was nice but everyone else had an attitude.

I've been wanting to go to this place for a while They sent an email "How to Bathhouse"for $45 a deal so I decided to partake ! Upon arrival Kelsey greeted me escorted me to the lockers so I could change into my swimsuit..Kelsey got me plenty of towels gave me a wristband..ok I didn't know what to expect I've had spa days before with facials, Massages She is nice & personable. we utilized almost every sauna room they had we started upstairs by the pool the "dry sauna" for 10 min we were sweaty oh not to mention it was crowded on a Monday around 5 pm ..then we went to downstairs a steam room for 10 min ok then she suggested or said I had to get in the freezing cold water immersion after we exit this steam room it is a benefit to your overall health BUT omg it was a shock alright ! Kelsey got me another water with electrolytes so sweet the three stars are for her. I wish I could give this place four stars ..Froze my feet dead.. OK that was the first time then we went into the stone wall Sauna room for 10 minutes. I had to jump into another cold pool after that . . Then after that, we went into the augfuss steam room 6 pm augfuss is an sauna ritual done by a guy who does like a sauna mediation along with scents like eucalyptus on the sauna rocks & he waves around the towels do you inhale the scents..Kelsey informed me bathhouse was in the top 5 of best augfuss rituals.. it was relaxing & healing ....guess what after that I had to get into this freezing water again this time I just went for it & jumped in if I had to do it might as well get it over with..but by this time I got the hang of it.. overall my body did feel amazing. Kelsey Showed me the rest of the sauna rooms and showed me how to use them the tropical sauna room and the other pools that are not as cold, which I don't know why I didn't jump in those versus the freezing cold ones, but I guess it's a benefit to it or something so I decided to get a full body massage for 50 minutes. I went up to the front desk and schedule it for 7 PM young man at the front desk light brown eyes light brown short locks hair HE suggested the massage therapist. (Said her hands were strong & she was husky) she was neither lol Her name was Iyanna she was pleasant upon meeting. She asked me what area of my body was giving me issues or what I wanna focus on is what I told her my shoulder since I work in Mortgage and it can be stressful also since I've been running a lot, my side, upper thigh has been a little bit sore anyWho I assume she asked these questions so she can focus on these areas. She did a nice massage I would say decent she did pinpoint all the pressure points in my body, which I appreciate it. However, I accidentally took my phone in there so by the time I took my clothes off, she started at 7:04 so I looked at my phone before she came in. She does my all over Massage pressure points felt great however she didn't focus on any other areas what she asked me about she did ask me if I was comfortable. She did ask me if my head was comfortable because the head board was kind of low so she stops the massage at 7:52. It was a 50 minute massage which I paid for and it started at 7:04 so she said we start at 7:02 which I thought we start the massage when you start massaging or touching my body not when I'm taking my clothes off so anyway, she agreed that she stopped at 48 minutes when I said OK well what happened to the other two minutes because I paid for 50 minutes this New York City we wanna get what we paid for. she said oh well you can use or try all the other massage therapists? I'm sorry you're not happy with your massage. I didn't say I wasn't happy with it. I just want 50 minutes not 48 minutes if I'm paying you $130 technically for 50 minutes I need my other two minutes..the conversation lasted about two minutes. You could've been massaging the parts that you didn't focus on that you asked about from the beginning needless to say I don't know if I'll be using their Massage services anymore or maybe I'll try earlier in the day and take Iyanna's advice and use someone else I still gave her a tip and I definitely like the place. It's just I wanna get what I pay for all the minutes two minutes can count when it comes to a massage, you can get those last stress pains out of someone then she mentioned oh I could've massaged your head, but you had a towel on. You asked me everything else, but you couldn't ask me to take the towel off my Head. She just gave excuse after excuse. I suggest her as a masseuse if you want the bare minimum or just to you know like the basic pressure point Massage or you wanna pay for a 50 minute massage you only get 48 minutes but not really getting into any depths of your pain. i've had massages Thai massages, Swedish massages massages in Hawaii massages in Los Angeles, Chinatown & Europe.tbh the Asian lady at the nail salon did more in depth than iyanna .. but I was thankful and I still gave her a $20 tip

Second time here. Didn't even know they opened a whole additional section and roof top pool! The pool was a little crowded but it was a vibe. Love the additional side of the bathhouse upstairs. Finally got to do the Aufguss ceremony and I'm surprised I made it for the whole duration. The instructor was a joy. Our couples massage with Rasheed and Eric (I hope I got their names right) was amazing too!

I came here for the day with my friend and we had our own personal massages. We proceeded with each individual pool which were room temp, hot and freezing cold. There was saunas and steam rooms and so much more to sit back relax and enjoy. This is male and female nit separated. The only thing we do have our own shower rooms and lockers where we store our personal belongings. They do have some things like towels for sale. Here you can even get gift cards for others. I had tried this entire package and even got food and drinks for two. It was so cool. the food was very tasty and healthy.

I've been on a mission to try as many spas this year as possible and bath house in Williamsburg was a gem find in a deceivingly small building they've made the best for the space. Make sure to bring your own sandals and robe, the look is giving industrial chic, offering about 5 larger pools including the one on the roof (with a beautiful view upstairs & would suggest for a vibe in hot weather) and about 3 smaller pools all offering hot- freezing options. They also offer dry and steam saunas about 4 just enough to have a variety. They've made an oasis in the middle of Brooklyn which isn't easy. They do offer a small (over priced) cafe with limited shared seating if you're really hungry. However I would definitely suggest trying the hammam bath so amazing and relaxing you'll feel brand new. If you're in Williamsburg try it out, hopefully I'll see you there !

I visited this establishment for my cousin's birthday and I had a great experience. We started out at the rooftop pool and it was very nice. We got there early so we were able to experience the pool before it got crowded. I booked a massage and it was really nice. I enjoyed all of the additional amenities such as the pools, hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms. I even surprised myself by going into the cold plunge pool. It was challenging but it felt great afterwards. I would definitely return and try the body scrub. I had a wonderful and relaxing experience.

Slightly eclectic bath house. There's limited daily passes to buy. Some days are reasonable than others. The only con is the check in staff. Feels rushed and cold but once inside, it's like a resort. The floor staff are more accommodating and offers insight of the facility. There's multiple levels from basement to rooftop. Two cafes located near men's locker and rooftop. Multiple pool and sauna options with different vibes from uv light to intense heat. Cold and hot tubs. Every basic toiletry needs and towels with slippers provided (highly recommend). It's worth going once or twice a month. But this does give couple vibes since it's unisex. Be respectful and recommend go with friends or dates. This bathhouse is very posh.

Ask the Community - Bathhouse - Williamsburg

Wondering how big the "hang/chill out" areas are in the bath section of the Bathhouse or if there are any. I only saw photos of the tubs, the stream room, sauna and restaurant. Does this place have any lounge areas other than the restaurant?

There are some benches and little chairs on the sides, but the best hang out / lounge area is the heated marble slabs in the center of the spa by the pools.

Can I pay for a spa treatment such as a massage or facial without the pass?

No. The treatments are only *in addition to* the day pass. If you only want a massage or scrub treatment you would automatically be paying for the day pass as well, whether you take advantage of the other amenities or not.

Are amenity areas coed?

Yes

Do you have to be completely naked for the full body scrub?

No, bathing suit is required

Do you only get a robe if/while you're dining? Are robes not provided to wear around the facilities?

The facility does not provide robes complementary. There are robes you can purchase in the front lobby. The facility requires all guests to wear a swimsuit while in all common areas, including the restaurant.

I would like to do the couples scrub but after the scrub do I get to do everything else for the rest of the day or how long can I use the other amenities?if I purchase 2 day passes 1 for me and my man would we be able to do everything as a couple?

Yes you can. You can do the scrub and also the amenities. It's an all day pass. I would recommend going early during the week so you can enjoy your time there. The pools are pretty small so if another 3 ppl join it will feel packed. Also I… Read more

For the early bird day pass you can stay as long as you want you just have to check in before 11?

Hi Sara, yes - check in before 11am gets you a day pass during the week which doesn't have a time restriction. thanks!

Are there any that are not co-Ed for more comfortability?

Hi Leo, thanks for reaching out. While our locker rooms are not coed, the rest of our facilities are all coed.

Hi, Is the Scrub + Admission package including access to the three pools (cold plunge, hot pool,…

Hi Meah - Yes, an admission includes access to all our public features. Thank you!

When you have a day pass, can you use spa, then eat, then use spa again?

Hi Ada, yes you can!

Will we need to bring our swimsuits?

Hi there - yes we require bathing suits. We sell bathing suits as well, but most people bring their own.

Are the saunas and pools co-ed?

Hi there! Yes they are all coed

That evening, I called & spoke with the upbeat empathetic owner Paula. I received such wonderful customer service that I was intent on supporting WHATEVER project she and Jackie had going on! My girlfriend and I were psyched about coming to a "tiny house" sauna. It's housed in the backyard of the restaurant Nowadays in Ridgewood for now, but moves to various spots around the city. After registering, when your time slot is ready, you will go to 1 of 2 zip-down, enclosed changing cabanas to slip into your swimsuit and slippers. You are given a long black or short teal robe for warmth/ coverage, and escorted up onto the porch (no shoes) and into the sauna where fresh towels await you on the bench. There is an outdoor shower for the warmer months, and a fire pit for the cooler months. There is also cold ginger lemon water for your sipping pleasure. There are 2 enclosures in the sauna that vary in temperature, to cool down without having to leave the sauna. The hottest section can comfortably hold 4-7 people, the warmer section 4-6 small-thighed folks. The porch also seats 2, and is VERY Instagramable, if you're about that life! Staff started the timer for an hour and we were left to our own devices in the dim, soothingingly calm lighted room. You are able to play your own music if you connect to the speakers but I thought it was fun to just vibe out to their own chill techno zen-yourself-out music. I loved how the sauna experience came with some cool wet towels and face wipes, as well as a ice cool water canister in the corner to refill as you please. The sauna itself was exceptionally clean and well kept. Since I don't experience this often, I found it most tolerable when I took frequent breaks outside by walking around or just refreshing myself with the towels provided. I was piqued when the staff notified us afterwards that there's a 15% discount when you book your next spa day with them right after your appointment, and that deal can be started anytime you come in. I felt refreshed for the rest of the day, despite being in this heatwave and perusing around LES/Chinatown afterwards (which is usually rather overstimulating and sweat inducing). I'll def be back--the time passes rather slowly, and it felt like one of those little luxuries that set the pace for the rest of the day. Exceptional experience with friendly staff, upscale facility, and affordable cost.

I brought a Matt pemf for a gift for the holidays.... I need to return there is no where to call…read more... have emailed several times no response. This is not acceptable. Per website have 30 days to return. This was a gift and he is not happy with product. If I can get a return address? This is a black hole to get someone on the phone trying to return a 1300 dollar Matt and no response or call back. Would not recommend buying from higher dose .

This was my first time trying a 'salt room'. I went in with an open mind, and over the years have…read moretried a number of alternative therapies. On this one, I can't say I'm convinced it does anything. Sure, the overall space is nice and 'zen'. The salt room itself, very 'pretty' with all the various white/ivory/peach/pink/coral/orange shades of the salt walls. The feeling of salt crystals under your bare feet? Nice. Relaxing chairs to sit in. But at the end of the 30 minute session, did I feel anything special beyond the fact that I just 'relaxed' in a pretty room for 30 minutes? No. Note that the salt room can also hold up to three clients at a time, which means they have the potential to charge up to $87 for three people, for just a 30-minute period. That's $174 per hour for a room that's filled with salt. Where no personal or hands-on service is provided...just clients 'sitting' in a room. I guess they also disperse 'saline aerosol' into the room while you are sitting in there. I'm not exactly sure what that is, or how it's supposed to be beneficial to you but then it begs the question...is it the saline aerosol that benefits you and/or some type of 'energy' that is supposed to come from the salt itself in the room? I don't know...I just have to wonder if this salt room thing is nothing more than an (unproved) trend that they are going to milk for all it's worth, until the next wellness trend comes along. When I first arrived and was eventually directed to the room, even though they knew it was my first time there, I was given no real direction or expectation...just told to go on in the room. (Typically you'd expect some type of introductory language...'we pipe saline aerosol into the room...this provides XYZ, etc'). I also found it odd that at the end of the 30-minute session, the woman working the desk simply came to the room and opened the door without warning. No knock, no 'bell' to let me know the session was over...just her, suddenly opening the door. (Typically at personal service places like that, they would knock on the door first, or ask if it's ok to enter, and especially considering I was in the room all alone, i.e., maybe I was in the middle of taking a weird selfie when she just opened the door?) Maybe next time I'll give the infrared sauna a try and see how that goes...but as for the salt room and just sitting in there, I don't think I'd spend my money on that again. It so happens that at the time, I was starting to feel quite sick with a bad cold. Other reviews here seemed to suggest they felt 'relief' from a cold. I felt no difference in anything, after my salt room session.

There were 3 plush chairs in the salt room. It was very bright and warm. The session later just…read moreunder 30 minutes. By the time I was relaxed enough the session was over. However, I enjoyed the experience. I would frequent Modrn Salt and explore the other services they offer if I lived or worked in the area.
