Came here with a gifted Groupon coupon. When I first arrived you are greeted with a steep stairway…read more Once you overcome the stairs you will see a door to your left that will let you know you have made it. Once I made it in, the ladies were busy folding but one came over to assist me with checking in. They started first with putting hand sanitizer on my hands and then take my temperature. Then they were trying to figure out the Groupon situation. After trying to scan and then trying to type in the number they just wrote it down and told me to mark as redeem. Alright now over that obstacle I was shown where my room was. First impression I have never been to a spa that the walls didn't meet the ceiling so you can hear everything from every direction. The beds were not very comfortable to lay on and didn't have the warming blankets to help with folks like me that stay cold. Now on to the massage. Well it all started pretty good but started going down him very quick. I asked for another blanket due to being cold and they placed a few towels on my to help. Then when I am trying to relax there is an two employees having conversation pretty loudly in the other room area, the music then shuts off so it appears even louder, and then with my towel basically rolled off exposing my side and part of my butt the lady opens the door and leaves it open while she walks out the room. I am not a huge modest person but hey now there's people walking around and I don't need anyone getting ideas. So after that I really couldn't relax because not only did it happen that once but it happened again. I asked her to please stop leaving with my towel exposing me. She just giggled. (Facepalm) Once the session was over they were then wanting to talk and asked me what their tip was going to be. From my understanding I thought it was up to the customer to decide that.....and then stated normally at least $10 or more is good. I was shocked that I was getting told what someones tip is going to be. Maybe I need a reality check but what if I thought you did a horrible job...then what happens? She told me they prefer cash tip because a card tip they will have to charge me another $1 for the card fee. All in all I will not go back to this place on my own accord. I have been to so many decent massages places that even with the Groupon I would t go back.

I found a Groupon deal for Body Scrub + Body Massage. I bought the Body Scrub for 2 for my cousin &…read moreI while she bought the Couple Massage. She called and booked the appointment back-to-back for August 26. First time coming here & didn't know what to expect as I don't get massage often (had it twice before; one was painful/bad + one was okay just felt like very light rubbing). -Wednesday, August 26- 3:30PM Body Massage (One 60-Minute Couples Full-Body Massage with Hot Stone and Aromatherapy Massage for Two $135) 4:30PM Body Scrub (2 orders of One 60-Minute Body Scrub with Soften Skin by Device Pre-Scrubbing and Sugar or Sea Salt Scrubbing $138) 5:30PM Complimentary Facial- owner gave to us (cleanse & face mask & toner) It looks shady from the outside; small massage parlor (not fancy as in upscale place with separate areas: lobby, changing area, etc). Owner greeted us warmly & lead us to our room. I used the restroom first (we had lunch right before coming here & I didn't want to hold it for 2hrs after drinking lots of water during lunch) & then my cousin went to the restroom, so I was the first in the room to change. The room was to the right of the front door (very close as in a few feet infront) had 2 beds. Dim lighting to set the mood. Clothes hooks infront of the bed on wall for our purses & clothing (is a narrow space between that wall to the massage bed because ladies stand in that area; TIP: Don't bring so much personal belongings or baggy items). We stripped naked & lay on the bed with a thin sheet covering us. Our face in the head opening area of the table looking down to the floor. We had selected the aromatherapy essential oils for our massage during check in (the ladies placed it under the table infront of our face so we could breathe it in). The massage was lovely; we enjoyed it very much. The ladies (owner + staff) was very friendly, polite, & courteous about touching/massaging & our body placement. They would cover one part as they work other parts &asked us about the pressure to make sure we were okay. There were 2 times where we heard outside the room, that a man had entered to inquire about massage. He sounded so close (the door was close to our room) to us that we were worried. The ladies made sure to cover us while the owner went out to speak to him; saying they were unavailable for the next 2hrs & to come back later or schedule for another day. This happened twice & we felt as if the man was in the room with us (I peeked & our room door was closed) & we were covered, but still felt too close for comfort. Body scrub was next; they lubed us up with the scrub mixture all over (felt like another massage). I was the first one done; so I had a thin sheet wrapped around me as I walked to the bathroom (they gave me shower slippers) to shower off the scrub mixture. The small shower is on the right side of the toilet with the washer/dryer next to the sink all in the same bathroom. Complimentary bath gel soap, shampoo, conditioner, facial wash & towels provided. When I returned to the room (so my cousin can shower next), I was told that the owner will gift us a complimentary facial since she liked us so much. We had chatted her up during check in & the service (she found out we were Taiwanese Americans); when I said we, I meant my cousin. My cousin is naturally charming that all loves her; plus she speaks Chinese fluently (better than me) so that comforted the owner who is Taiwanese. Overall, we enjoyed our experience & would come back. They worked out the knots in the back & are very professional. No funny business =P. We chatted occasionally with the ladies & with each other, but mostly just relax in silence to enjoy the experience. We both fell asleep during some parts of the massage/scrub massage-- that was how relaxed we were. -Friday, September 18- 6PM-7PM 1hr Body Massage My cousin & I decided to make this a monthly thing (or whenever we can meet up to enjoy) for a girl's spa day. We paid regular price to support business (they weren't doing so well during covid) $70 body massage per person. Afterward, we noticed a new deal... the owner had posted a sign for a new special deal- 90minutes massage for $70 which we'll try next time. She knocked off $5 for us both since we now become a loyal *returning* customer. We came fully ready to pay full price to help support her business & not expecting anything extra so it was a nice surprise of the $5discount. We have yet to make our October body massage appointment (due to me being in the Brooklyn ZipCode LockDown & being extra careful 10/7 to now & my cousin is a teacher waiting on her schedule conflicts to clear up). We will most likely make an appointment next week or just wait until November (and skipping October completely). TIP: Don't eat right before service; we both felt gassy when they massage abdomen area & nose was stuffed up after breathing in oil while sleeping- wait abit Our second experience was better- no gas or stuffy nose.

ZERO STARS. DO NOT COME HERE. THIS IS NOT A SPA EXPERIENCE. Worst massage experience of my life in…read moreany country. Terrible technique. Disgusting hygiene. A 40% mandatory tip posted on the wall. A "cash is better" front desk. A masseur who had to be yelled for like a dog. Real physical pain a full day later. Read this and run. Walked in at 5:35pm for a 90-minute foot massage. Walked into dark room where masseur was sitting in dark, chilling. Told to sit down. Sat 10 minutes while the masseur walked away. First red flag. He came over to start with shoulders, which is standard for Chinese reflexology. I declined and asked for feet and legs only. He dropped my feet in a basin of hot water and disappeared again. Unprofessional from the first second. Once the massage started, it was clear this man has no technique. Zero. 90 minutes of brainless squeezing, yanking, and grinding like he was aggressively scrubbing a pot. No skill. No rhythm. No pressure control. He seemed nice enough as a person. This is just not the job for him. I have hairy legs and he used so little product the friction was unbearable. It felt like rug burn. I told him during the massage. He kept going. I asked for less pressure. He kept going. I asked for more product. He barely adjusted. It is now past 11:15 the next morning and my legs are STILL on fire. Every hair follicle feels inflamed and yanked at the root. Skin feels raw. I woke up in pain. That is not a massage. That is sanding someone's legs down for 90 minutes. Hygiene was vile. He repeatedly plunged his bare hand into an old communal jar of product, smeared it on my bare feet, and dunked right back in. Over and over. No spatula. No pump. No scoop. Just bare hands, bare feet, and one shared open jar collecting skin oils and dead skin from every client before me. NY State requires massage establishments to keep equipment and supplies in a clean and sanitary manner, and double-dipping bare hands into shared product between clients?! This is exactly the kind of sanitation issue that gets businesses written up. The front desk woman seems sweet for 30 seconds. Then, unprompted: "yeah, cash is better." Universal red flag for no paper trail. Combined with everything else, the place is shady. Tipping policy is insulting. Posted on the wall: $20 per hour of service. On a $75, 90-minute massage, that is a mandated $30 tip. 40%. For service this horrible. That is a shakedown, not a tip. After the massage, he vanished again. No thank you. No water. No goodbye. The front desk woman had to yell for him like she was calling a dog. And this is the man collecting a mandatory 40% tip! When asked how it was, and I told her the massage was honestly bad, she did not even ask why. No follow-up. No apology. No concern. Just blank indifference, like complaints are a daily occurrence. She was already pressing the elevator button and standing at the door, ready to flush me out before anyone overheard. I have had hundreds of massages in dozens of countries. Hotel spas, neighborhood shops, luxury resorts, at random beach cabanas, night markets, and even sessions with blind therapists whose technique was extraordinary. This was an able-bodied man with full use of his eyes and hands, and he managed to deliver the worst massage of my life! Every glowing review here and on Google is a lie. Fake, planted, or written by people who have never had a real massage. No honest person walks out of here and calls it good. Take your money and your dignity literally anywhere else. AVOID. RUN.

I was quickly ushered to a back room free of frills, aromas, or aesthetic warmth--only consisting of a double bed set-up for couples. I took this as an ominous sign that there would be no one coming to save me. They were extremely prompt in returning, thus hustling me to undress much faster. Once settled, the female masseuse went to town on my back. She was extremely attentive and was not shy about battling each and every sore muscle out of my back--kneading out my knots meticulously, as if she were tenderizing a tough piece of steak. This massage was not for the weak and timid--rather for those who seek solutions and reprieve from tightness, void of frivolity. Those who enter must decide which of these two categories they are, and throughout that massage, I had to remind myself that I was the latter. After a fruitful hour and a fairly good price paid, I emerged from that massage a new woman, freely agile and with a refreshed lightness in my step.

They have many other services that are to help relax and rejuvenate you! Why the four stars? Sooo, I have been looking for a head spa in NYC (four boroughs) for a relaxing scalp treatment/massage. And I was basically told they could not work with my hair. (Type 3/4 hair) not damaged/ color treated at all. They seem to only be able to help people with pin straight hair. I find this to be sort of discriminating even though I know it's not a personal thing. I think if you offer a head spa you should be able to treat all hair types. Now you are not meant to have your hair styled after so that is never the expectation, but to massage, cleanse a scalp and comp through hair I don't think hair types should be excluded. It feels REALLY bad on the receiving end. So if you got curls look elsewhere. If anyone knows any salons that can provide this to different hair types please inbox me!
