I always visit this place when I visit my cousin who lives in New York because the massages are comforting at a great price.

Since the billboard they have upfront was a little vague, I decided to walk in with my sister to ask them about their services. Once entering, we had to climb a long staircase, in which we were immediately stopped before we got close to the door. The woman ( who didn't greet us by the way) yelled something to someone in an Asian language, then claimed that they were really busy and couldn't attend to us. I caught a peek through the door, and the waiting area was empty! We were there at 7pm and this business closes at 10pm. Why couldn't we wait inside??? This lady was really rude and I got a vibe that she was being discriminatory! Its really offensive and disturbing that people like this own businesses and in NYC to make matters worse!!! My review isn't about their service, since I wasn't even let in the door. My review is about their lack of customer service and decency! Thank God for sites like Yelp, otherwise no one would know about this. * I tried to find this business on Yelp, but I couldn't find it (probably for a reason). If I do find it, I will add this there too! I wish I could take my 1 star away :-(

I just visited for my first time on Thursday, August 8, 2024. It will certainly be my last. Aside from the massage tables being extremely uncomfortable and the face area uncomfortable and small, I am listing my experience below. I have another place that I enjoy visiting but out of convenience, I thought I would try this massage place. I called ahead of time to make an appointment. I had confirmed that I wanted a woman and I was told all of the staff members are women. I noticed a lot of the visitors were all men. (eyebrow raise) When I arrived (15 minutes earlier), I was not greeted with a smile or even a hello. I even pondered if I should leave because the energy in here was very unsettling. Massage therapists kept walking past and seemed tired and angry. The curtains between each booth were covered in sheets. I know when coming to these asian massage places, it is not always luxury and that is okay with me if the service is good and the people are kind and professional. The person I had kept looking into the sheeted cover when I was not fully undressed. Instead of a towel, it is a thin sheet that is placed over the body when you lay on the table. The woman I was given massaged the area for only 50 seconds before she ripped it off of me. She ripped the sheet off of me and pulled down the back of my underpants. It was so unprofessional. She was definitely tired and using her elbow a lot but not massaging with intention and when she did use her hands, you knew she wanted to not give a real massage. When I did tell her that I would like some more pressure (it was lighter than a swedish massage) she ignored me and pretended to not understand. They seemed to be overworked one person after the next, no one spoke english or even tried. She was hurting me (I love deep tissue but this was awful). It was just pressing with her elbow and light, light massage with hands. When she did use her hands, she made annoyed sounds. I changed my massage from 90 minutes to 40 minutes. I regret not speaking up sooner. As you can imagine laying on the table you are quite vulnerable. Another woman came in to at least massage my shoulders so I would not walk out completely disoriented after being pressed with elbows and not even having anything massaged out. The woman that came in and took over answered the phone in the room and placed the phone between my calves. I read that it was noisy here but its an unpleasant noisy - not city noise or doorbells and phones ringing. It is more of the staff having conversations with one another. Four people stood outside with me when it was time to pay, I was not offered water. It was a HORRIBLE experience. The woman that took over (seemed to be like a manager) did not even come outside to speak with me afterwards. Avoid at all cost.

The entrance might be off putting but once you climb the stairs and enter your are greeted by a very gracious woman dressed very well and looking professional She immediately ushers me into an immaculate cubicle via a tiny path. There are about 8 " stalls" without doors hence not as private as I prefer My stall was closest to the front window which was darkened but did not stop the busy Lexington Ave noise from distracting me The foot rub here is superb ( albeit there is no wash bin for your feet ) The 60 fee was inline with others I would give it a 5 if it were a bit more private and afforded a foot wash. That said it warms a solid 4 stars

Fortunately my experience with Daniel was the first. One of the initial things I noticed was how at ease I felt when I first arrived. I typically have severe anxiety especially the first visit of a medical treatment so the fact I had just power walked almost two miles in crowds of people on my way to an initial acupuncture visit and felt as relaxed as I did is some kinda amazing. Second when it comes to acupuncture I'm a little particular to say the least. I typically don't feel like I benefit unless the practitioner is a "sadist" Every therapist is unique but in the past I've either had seemingly pointless needles (te he) in my skin or aggressive full on radiating shockwaves. This was an entirely new experience. I had stated my preference on releasing qi which tends to be slightly more painful than basic acu points. His technic was very different from any past treatments. I was able to feel the circulation from points he was working on just without the pain I typically associate with stronger needling. To the contrary it was actually such a relaxing session by the end I was definitely asleep Another first for me. The downside to being half comatose is trying to pay. I was impressed I was able to still do math in that state but apparently my bills had stuck together and I wasn't paying (te he) attention. When I came back from the restroom he let me know I had accidentally given him too much and returned the $100 I had overpaid. All in all I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality acupuncture treatment and I feel like returning money is proof of character. Something I hold in high regard especially when I'm trusting that person with my health.

The treatment Dan provides is very promising - after only one session on my neck, I got much improvement and relief.
