I have been coming to Spa 7 Avenue for 6 months and I've had some injuries (dislocations) with my shoulder. As well as some other flexibility issues my back and hips. I've lost a lot of weight and having Rika's assistance, she's genuinely helped me move my body and get it working again. This place has really been a saving grace. We Walked in rain and when we arrived 4 men walked in at the same time as us without reservation and despite we had a reservation, they took the men and then asked us if we can wait until 11:30pm (I assume there was more $$$ involved). After guiding us through our first massage, using google translate so there was no language barrier, and going absolutely crazy on out muscles, they proceeded to dry all our wet clothes from the snow and blowdry my friend's broken shoes to make sure we left the establishment prepared for the weather. I didn't have an appt and just walked in Thursday morning at 8am for a 60 min massage! RiKa was my massage therapist and gave me one of the best massages at the right pressure! Masseuses were nice and we clicked so much, we talked and gossiped the whole time during the massage haha! I know some people rather have a quiet relaxing massage, but I enjoy a fun conversation. Massages were good and they focused on the knots i had in my shoulder without asking. They pointed out the parts of body i'm stressed in, and focused in that area. Sisi gave a thorough Thai chair massage along with my 60 minute reflexology session. Downside was some cross chat with another practitioner. Worse was the customer face timing during his service two chairs away and a loud, long exchange between another customer and the front counter staff. Horrible experience! I booked a couples massage & while getting the service the masseuse is massaging with one hand and phone in her other typing. The other kept leaving for about six minutes and coming back during the couples massage. Both of them were talking to each other and ruin the vibe. My daughter and I went here on a whim, and honestly, I'd give 6 stars if I could!! The staff was so friendly, and the massage was out of this world!! They were very accommodating when I asked for harder pressure (since I tend to prefer it much harder), and they kept checking in on my daughter to make sure they weren't pressing too hard, just in case it hurt her. They offered her warm water when she coughed, and after our massage too, to release the toxins in our body. They're in a very convenient location too, close to Times Square. Spa7 is my local massage place right next to my office. I usually intend to go once a month for maintenance but when you have a few pinched nerves, I have flare-ups. Yes, you have to pay before you get your service, I often get the 1-hour massage for $45. I love this place so much I've referred several coworkers and on our lunch breaks, I'll get a mini back or foot massage. Leo yesterday gave me one of the best massages. I told him my pain was on my right side, mid area of my back. Also to focus on my neck/ traps and head. He did exactly that. He stretched me and also managed to crack my neck, multiple parts of my back, wrist, fingers, and toes. I love the touch of the hot stone as well. I get massages often and have to say Emily is by far the worst ever. I Hated Emily. She is one of the laziest masseuse ever. I am so ashamed I got a 90 mins session with her after a very long day of strolling around the city one night. She is one of the laziest people ever. She uses her palms only and presses down for like 1 minute on one spot just to fill the time. Don't ever get an appointment with her. I even told her to use her thumbs and she did not. They advertise a free hot stone massage but be warned it will last about 3 minutes. Lastly, you must pay in advance and tip is not suggested but enforced. To get in I had to press a buzzer and go to the third floor via elevator. My masseuse was named Kay, and I considered telling her to go "hard" like I usually have to ask masseuses to do (have lower back issues so definitely visit a good number of massage salons) but I didn't even have to - the next thing I know is her feet are on my back!! (Only walking out of the room did I notice the bars on the ceiling for that purpose.) She cracked my whole back and massaged so deeply and strong that it truly wiped away all the back pain I had been having this past week!! She used her feet as well as her hands, also giving me the most amazing head massage I've ever had in the process, and despite the good pressure I almost fell asleep because it was so relaxing. There was a bit of a language barrier as she had to take out her phone to translate and chat with me, and there was no music (at first was strange but I found that to somehow be more relaxing in a way), but overall was seriously one of the best massages I have had recently! Highly recommend this excellent spa! First off, the staff is very friendly and professional. Second, their spa is extraordinarily clean and meticulously setup for COVID safety (e.g. all staff wearing masks, they take your temperature at the door, offer you hand sanitizer for your hands and even spray the bottom of your shoes before you walk further into their store and we had our own completely private room).
