STAY AWAY. I had what was easily the worst massage of my life here…read more Earlier in the day, I specifically called and requested Tony. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived for my 9 PM appointment, a woman walked into the room instead. I asked if Tony was available, and she responded with something I couldn't understand before immediately beginning the massage by wrapping my head in a towel with the force of someone trying to start a lawn mower. I genuinely thought my earrings were about to be ripped out of my ears. I asked her within the first 5m to go softer, but the pressure wasn't even the main issue - it felt like she wasn't actually working on my muscles. Somehow she managed to spend an hour pounding on bones I didn't even know could be massaged, including my tailbone and elbows. To be fair, even if she had reduced the pressure, she was still working all the wrong places. The entire massage felt less like bodywork and more like being attacked by a hundred tiny crabs while an angry toddler threw bricks at me. I spent the session counting down the minutes until it was over. Every time she finished one body part, I felt relieved simply because that meant we were closer to being done. All the movements weren't slow and calm; they were quick, frightening, and aggressive. I had hot stones as a part of my treatment, but her carelessness throughout the regular massage portion made me terrified of what the hot stones were going to be like (thankfully, they were a normal hot stone temperature). I was visibly uncomfortable the entire time - wincing, flinching, and even making noises because the massage hurt. I've never spent an entire massage staring at the clock and mentally calculating how much longer I had to survive. Usually massages make you lose track of time. This one made every minute feel like an hour. I left feeling more stressed and sore than when I arrived. I've had many massages over the years, and this was by far the most uncomfortable, painful, and disappointing one I've ever received. The fact that I specifically requested a particular therapist, was told that request would be honored, and then received a completely different therapist only made the experience worse. The attached photo shows a text message they sent me 16m into the appointment, as well as my response when I saw it later, and their unprofessional "ok" response...

ZERO STARS. DO NOT COME HERE. THIS IS NOT A SPA EXPERIENCE. Worst massage experience of my life in…read moreany country. Terrible technique. Disgusting hygiene. A 40% mandatory tip posted on the wall. A "cash is better" front desk. A masseur who had to be yelled for like a dog. Real physical pain a full day later. Read this and run. Walked in at 5:35pm for a 90-minute foot massage. Walked into dark room where masseur was sitting in dark, chilling. Told to sit down. Sat 10 minutes while the masseur walked away. First red flag. He came over to start with shoulders, which is standard for Chinese reflexology. I declined and asked for feet and legs only. He dropped my feet in a basin of hot water and disappeared again. Unprofessional from the first second. Once the massage started, it was clear this man has no technique. Zero. 90 minutes of brainless squeezing, yanking, and grinding like he was aggressively scrubbing a pot. No skill. No rhythm. No pressure control. He seemed nice enough as a person. This is just not the job for him. I have hairy legs and he used so little product the friction was unbearable. It felt like rug burn. I told him during the massage. He kept going. I asked for less pressure. He kept going. I asked for more product. He barely adjusted. It is now past 11:15 the next morning and my legs are STILL on fire. Every hair follicle feels inflamed and yanked at the root. Skin feels raw. I woke up in pain. That is not a massage. That is sanding someone's legs down for 90 minutes. Hygiene was vile. He repeatedly plunged his bare hand into an old communal jar of product, smeared it on my bare feet, and dunked right back in. Over and over. No spatula. No pump. No scoop. Just bare hands, bare feet, and one shared open jar collecting skin oils and dead skin from every client before me. NY State requires massage establishments to keep equipment and supplies in a clean and sanitary manner, and double-dipping bare hands into shared product between clients?! This is exactly the kind of sanitation issue that gets businesses written up. The front desk woman seems sweet for 30 seconds. Then, unprompted: "yeah, cash is better." Universal red flag for no paper trail. Combined with everything else, the place is shady. Tipping policy is insulting. Posted on the wall: $20 per hour of service. On a $75, 90-minute massage, that is a mandated $30 tip. 40%. For service this horrible. That is a shakedown, not a tip. After the massage, he vanished again. No thank you. No water. No goodbye. The front desk woman had to yell for him like she was calling a dog. And this is the man collecting a mandatory 40% tip! When asked how it was, and I told her the massage was honestly bad, she did not even ask why. No follow-up. No apology. No concern. Just blank indifference, like complaints are a daily occurrence. She was already pressing the elevator button and standing at the door, ready to flush me out before anyone overheard. I have had hundreds of massages in dozens of countries. Hotel spas, neighborhood shops, luxury resorts, at random beach cabanas, night markets, and even sessions with blind therapists whose technique was extraordinary. This was an able-bodied man with full use of his eyes and hands, and he managed to deliver the worst massage of my life! Every glowing review here and on Google is a lie. Fake, planted, or written by people who have never had a real massage. No honest person walks out of here and calls it good. Take your money and your dignity literally anywhere else. AVOID. RUN.

This place is exactly what you want if your feet are destroyed from walking around New York City…read moreall day. It is very no frills, and I want to stress that upfront. This is not a spa where you hang out, relax, and enjoy the ambiance. You are not here for vibes. You are here because your feet hurt. And for that, it is perfect. You can walk in without an appointment, which is what we did every time, but you can also make an appointment if you want. We ended up coming here every single evening during our trip because after walking all day, nothing sounded better than a 30, 45, or 60 minute foot massage. It became our nightly routine. The staff was great. Everyone was friendly, professional, and consistent. The place was clean every time we went, and they offered water, which was appreciated. They were efficient, kind, and clearly experienced, especially considering how busy this place gets. I found this spot on TikTok, and yes, it is popular for a reason. Just know what you are getting. This is not a leisurely spa experience where you linger and unwind in a plush robe. This is a straightforward, affordable, effective foot massage that does exactly what it promises. If you are visiting NYC, doing a ton of walking, and want a reliable place to reset your feet at the end of the day, I would absolutely recommend it. We loved it and would go back without hesitation.

They were able to squeeze three of us in for a same-day appointment, and the prices were incredibly affordable, especially for NYC! I opted for a 60-minute foot / leg massage and it was exactly what I needed. The space was super quiet, the massage was incredibly relaxing, and I actually fell asleep for the last 10 minutes, which tells you everything you need to know. My two friends did the 45-minute foot massage with an additional 15-minute back massage, and they both really enjoyed theirs as well. The place seemed newer, everything was peaceful, and the value for the price was fantastic. I can't speak to parking since we walked over from our hotel, but if you're staying nearby or have been putting in some serious NYC walking miles, this is absolutely worth a stop. 10/10 recommend. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the city!

My masseuse, Lily, has very strong hands and both massages were deep tissue and included hot stones. For the back portion, I was taken to a room with massage table and a curtain for privacy. The receptionist offered me a loyalty card (free massage after 10 paid). With tax it came to $57. I'm not clear I had to pay more for using a credit card -- they do have at ATM machine there. In any case, I felt like the $57 was very reasonable -- it was a full hour of massage.
