Definitely new and modern looking. My salt room appointment was for 30 minutes and I found it super chill. There isn't much to do inside the room but just sit back and breathe, although you can also do some yoga or meditation if you wish. The room is very clean and I liked walking barefoot on the salt covered floor. It reminds me a bit of walking on the beach or in a zen garden. I also felt safe because I got the whole room to myself so I can enjoy the experience mask free and at ease. Knocked down a star because if you use a Groupon you actually need to call them to book over the phone and they require a credit card on file. They also do try and upsell you on packages and memberships over the phone. But other than that I wouldn't mind coming back here to try some of their other services in the future.

There are a lot of lockers in the changing space with two showers and three toilets. You enter the warm sauna waiting room area through the locker rooms. You're then led to the infrared sauna a room where a the instructor takes you through the 20-min breath work experience, which includes self gua sha of the body and face. Then you rinse off and prepare your body for the two minute cold plunge. Then you return to the warm waiting room where you're guided back to the infrared room for a quick 10 minute guided breath work to close out the experience. It's a fairly unique experience and I'm glad I got to try it out. Just note that you will be sweating a lot.

She recently underwent major surgery, which has limited her mobility, and the entire team went above and beyond to make everything effortless for us. Gabriella welcomed us at check-in and was genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive from the moment we arrived until we left. She immediately set the tone for an incredible visit. We had massages with Gabriel and Anna, and both treatments were outstanding. We each left feeling completely relaxed and well cared for. Gabriel was also very accommodating outside of the treatment room, which made an already wonderful experience even better. Vanessa in the locker rooms and Alex in the bath area also stood out for their kindness and attentiveness. Every interaction felt sincere, and every member of the team contributed to making the day feel special. AIRE is always a beautiful, one-of-a-kind experience, but what truly sets this location apart is the warmth and genuine hospitality of the team. They elevated our experience to another level.

Every staff member I encountered was professional and kind, the facilities were beautiful, and the massage was honestly one of the best I've had. The only caveat for me was the experience at the front desk. While the staff member wasn't rude, I did feel that the welcome lacked warmth and attentiveness. I had prepaid for several add-ons, including a hot oil enhancement for the massage, a juice and wellness shot intended to be enjoyed during the bath experience, and an additional pressed juice. While I did receive the oil enhancement during the massage, the other add-ons were never explained or reminded to me throughout my visit. When I went to check out and return my bracelets, I was initially told that I was "all set," and I had to remind the front desk that I had prepaid for additional services. Only then was I given one juice. I appreciated that it was acknowledged, but I was still short the juice shot that was intended to be enjoyed during the bath portion of the experience, which unfortunately never happened. Because everything was prepaid in advance, I also wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do at that point -- ask for a refund for the missed add-on? I didn't want to make a fuss or create an uncomfortable situation, so I just left it alone. But that lack of attentiveness at the end did take away from what was otherwise a very positive experience. I think the front desk role is especially important because that person is both the first and last impression of the experience. They are helping set the tone when guests arrive, but they are also the one wrapping up the final moments before guests leave. As wonderful as the massage, facilities, and atmosphere were, the ending unfortunately became the part that lingered in my mind afterward. I genuinely wish the experience had felt a little more seamless and attentive from beginning to end, because otherwise it truly would have been exceptional.

Actually, that was a 1994 song by REM…read more The Frequency I experienced was a Wellness space located on 27th Street that includes daily classes geared toward "emotional well-being, to expand consciousness and to reconnect to our shared humanity". One of the goals is to also reconnect with yourself. I was not aware of its existence until my friend sent me a link and suggested to check out a class with her. Classes run at $27, but they also have package deals. The theme of the class we took was about Love, including self love. What was fascinating about Frequency was that their classes are held in the most cozy dome. Once you enter the dome for class, it becomes your safe space. We got started with subtle breathing techniques as the facilitator prepared to play a recording that guided us throughout the exercise. The ceiling of the dome was unique as colorful geometric shapes continuously played making me feel hypnotic. The class lasted for an hour and it was a very small group, just 4 including the facilitator. There were mini exercises that had us partner up. I was with my friend and felt comfortable but if you're going alone, expect to open up with a stranger. Some of the words I'd use to describe the class would be: meditation, visualization, deep breathing and affirmations. The lecture was wonderful and I felt very relaxed once it was over with a sense of calmness and serenity. I think $27 for a one hour class might be a tad high but i really enjoyed the experience. But like other regimens such as yoga, the gym and meditation, it is encouraged to visit Frequency regularly to reap the benefits. Definitely recommend!!

So many choices. Of course, being the hyper-efficient New Yorker I am, I ran through all of the color cycles twice. The experience was relaxing and rejuvenating.
