The gentleman on the phone was courteous, friendly, and professional and made reserving the date and time a breeze. The day of the appointment we were greeted and asked to fill out a simple form. After my family member completed the form, she was taken to the back by a pleasant woman. I asked what time I should come back to pick up my family member and she was ready at the time they told me she would be. When I asked her about her experience she told me the lady was nice, professional, and knew her stuff. She also recommended some products for my family member. The really cool thing about the experience was that I immediately saw a notably nice different in my family members face/skin. Overall the vibe was cozy and warm. The space is nice and quaint and they have seamoss for purchase. I do recommend!

I am very, very irked by Brooklyn Banya. We traveled approximately two hours to get to BK Banya…read morebecause it's one of the few places that allow those under 18 into the baths. We called ahead and spoke with a gentleman who assured us (1) they were open on Yom Kippur; and (2) they were happy to accommodate my children and friends of mixed genders. When we arrived, the extremely unpleasant older woman at the front desk told us that Thursdays were for men only and turned us away very, very rudely -- despite the fact that the website says that men's only hours begin at 6 p.m.!! We were there around noon.) From the website (https://www.brooklynbanya.com/m): Men only hours: Tuesday 11am-11pm $60pp Thursday 6pm- 1am $60pp From what we could see and smell from the lobby, the place was dark, threadbare, and dingy, with a funky odor of mold mixed with perspiration and other unpleasant, unidentifiable things on top. So perhaps it was a cloud with a silver lining to be turned away. TLDR: - Awful communication. Info posted online is not honored or accurate. Info given verbally is not honored or accurate. - The space -- what we saw of it -- seemed dingy and dirty. - Staff are uninformed and extremely rude.

If they also had a salt water pool or turned one of their cold plunge pools into a salt water one, it would be perfect. The bartender on the roof was not friendly at all. They charge an additional 20% tip on anything you order automatically. So when you don't have to work for your tips, stuff like this can happen. But the rest of the staff were great. Also, the food even though overpriced was so delicious. I loved the cappuccino, sweet potato with chimichurri and hummus and the miso wings. The portions are small so plan on the food making you hungrier than before eating. There are no phones allowed in the bathhouse and it's a nice break but the roof does allow phones. Also it's surrounded by atleast 3, 5G towers which isn't great for you physically. But I had a great time overall.

The old menu was so good, the current one barely has anything that feels like food on it, and nothing you would want to eat after a sauna sesh. The pastries are the only item worth the money. Also they should offer free sunscreen on the roof, they are charging wayyy to much for it. My advice for a good visit: go on a weekday as early as possible. Go in the winter for a more enjoyable rooftop experience.

He had planned an evening of theatre, but I absolutely enjoy a chill evening+homemade brunch and wellness activities. He's been to AIRE prior, and I've had many massages locally in LA prior and always opt for the hot stone massage, this time couples massage which is what we did. It was cozy, relaxing, decompressing, and aromatic! Esp, on a snowy, 16 degrees outside wintery kinda Xmas holiday season. What a delight! We began our evening walking from the West Village, then upon entering Aire being greeted with warm tea my absolute fav drink besides an iced matcha. We were given wristbands and headed to our keyless entry lockers to robe up and descend into the jacuzzi, sauna, and cold plunge pools. It Feels like entering a gorgeous gothic cave. Strung abt are hundreds of real candles+exposed brick walls. Something we don't have in earthquake prone LA. Truly a romantic, and relaxing ambiance. After the messages, we grabbed our green juices and headed up to shower and dry the hairs on our heads with all the best products and Dyson hair equipment. Not lost on me. Thanks for a wonderful HBD evening, into night. What a beautiful, relaxing, healthy experience. It's the best, truly! Merry Christmas guys.

I've been back to AIRE dozens of time since my original review in 2013 (both TriBeca and uptown,…read morebut mainly TriBeCa location). For the most part, we have always enjoyed our experience - it never felt super crowded and the pools were always nice and relaxing to enjoy, as well as the steam room located in the center of the pools. It's a beautiful space. Massages continue to be mixed however --- my husband always wants a harder massage, while I ask for a lighter touch. He claims they never go as hard as he wants. My last massage there was fantastic. They renovated the space last year, and have run some promos recently and on our last visit it was noticeably more crowded, more than I had ever experienced before. I can only guess it is due to these two factors. We had an hour long massage, which I was extra happy about because I would've been frustrated being in those packed pools for the full 90 mins (massage was good, see above). The steam room was packed, some pools filled with large groups of people, etc. And it was tough finding space at the vanity to get ready afterward, which I'd also never experienced before. Add to this that they were fixing one of the new plunge pools while we were there, and during our massage they twice dropped tools resulting in very loud sounds which echoed into massage rooms which were located nearby. I don't think it was a wise choice to have that work done while guests were there, considering the setting of tranquility they are trying to create. Considering all the above, we have decided to take a break from AIRE, at least the TriBeca location. I brought these issues to the attention of management there and they have apologized with a discount.

They have valet parking and we were able to check in and have parking covered due to reservations. They checked our ids and bags and then we left our shoes inside a locker. We headed up and there's 4 floors 4-7. We started off at 4 at the locked room and they are very strict about phone usage in the bathroom which i liked and thought Made sense for privacy but some people were texting and being told to put the phones away. After we put our things away we put our robes on and headed to check out the place. Everything is pretty spread out and nothing was really crowded. We enjoyed the pools especially more than the saunas and felt pretty relaxed. We didn't get food here but i did buy an orange juice which was $6 and good. The infinity pool here is beautiful and the view is amazing. The pools in the locker room are really nice and clean and so are the showers. I took a nice shower before we headed out. I will def return

All the pool areas were crowded at 10am, so we couldn't even get in. The saunas were unusable because so many people were looking for a place to go that the doors kept opening every 15 seconds, preventing them from heating up properly. The quiet area with chairs was so crowded that people were using them like lounge chairs on a cruise ship, with one person holding a chair for six people's belongings. It just felt like a complete waste of money to pay for spa access. They are not trying to create a luxury spa experience, just 100% a cash grab. I booked a couples massage for my wife and me, and considering the $500+ price, I expected a luxury experience. We showed up 15 min early, as typically spas at this price point will offer tea, a relaxing environment, and go over where you'd like to focus your treatment before you begin. When we arrived, they told us to come back in 10 minutes, because we were too early. Then, when we arrived 5 minutes before our service, they still said they weren't ready for us to come back; it was a terrible start. I've had over a hundred massages over the past 10+ years, and at the 200$+ price point, this one was in the bottom 5 I've experienced. Just mediocre at best. To top it off, at the end, the masseuse hard-sold the oils/lotions they use, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I get a better massage at Bergen Spa in Brooklyn for $55, and given there was no high-end experience here, it's the same. I wouldn't come back even if they charged half of what they do. Horrible all around.
