Experience was 10/10 because of the rooftop pool and it being a nice day. We spent 70% of our time up there. The spa is nice too but the rooftop is what makes this place, not sure I would come on a bad weather day. I actually like Brooklyn Bathhouse because bathhouses are not common in the area-- but they can improve in so many ways. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First of all, the front of the house leaves much to be desired: One time, the person checking us in was unfriendly and just seemed like she did not want to be there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another time, I had an appointment for 9am, and they didn't open their doors until 9:10am, then had us wait in the freezing front area for another 20 minutes while the main space was still getting readied. I can understand that things happen, but it would be nice if they had prioritized readying the lounge area so that we could at least use the bathroom and wait in the warmth. We ended up spending a half and hour less time relaxing because we had to get to work. That being said, it is nice that they have just right number of pools and saunas to treat your body to some nice hydrotherapy. It's not fancy, but I appreciate not having to bring towels, slippers, or a robe. So, 4 stars for the space, and 2 stars for the service, averaging to 3 stars overall. read more

If you're looking for a smaller and more intimate bath house experience, then this is a place to visit. I learned of them from Tik Tok and after receiving some crushing news a couple of days prior to my visit, I said, "Eff it, I'm going to the spa." Located in the vibrant Flatbush area of Brooklyn, it's less than a 5 min walk from the Q train and there are buses that stop near the location as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff seemed friendly and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the premises were clean and well kept. PROS - Intimate spa experience for prices that aren't overinflated - 2 saunas and 1 steam room - 3 pools (1 hot, 1 room temp, and 1 cold plunge) - Massage and body scrub packages (may be other services too) - Clean - Calm environment and atmosphere - Cafe serving light bites and beverages - Friendly staff CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIQUES I have some minor critiques that can be taken with a grain of salt as they're just my perspectives. - There is no sign on the building with its name by listed so you could potentially walk past it - Accessibility may be an issue for some with certain kinds of disabilities. I didn't see an elevator and this establishment has multiple floors. - The pools' temperatures aren't listed. I had to dip my toe in each one to determine the temps. I didn't book any of the services so I'll have to go back to try them out. read more

I think her name was Erika? I'm a school teacher so God knows I need a day off and the bathhouse delivered. ! The space is so beautiful and well maintained, stocked with everything you need for a relaxing day. And they decorated so cute for halloween. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were super friendly (especially Steph at the front desk).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm looking forward to the restaurant opening soon too! Everything was extremely clean and working as expected. I didn't get to try the pizza at the cafe upstairs, but have been missing Zurilee pizza for a long time so will be back for it! read more

This is one of the best bath houses in the city. It has a real community vibe that you don't get at the larger places. More solo people coming after work instead of people on first dates. Great spot to come on weekdays and weekends. I just wish they offered memberships! read more

*QUEER PEOPLE STAY AWAY THEY ARE NOT LGBT FRIENDLY* [[HIGHLIGHT]]a friend of mine hosted a monthly queer/trans bathing experience here. The first month was great, staff was kind, people were allowed to choose the locker room that best fit their gender expression, trans men and trans masculine people were allowed to bathe in their preferred swim wear.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The 2nd time we attended, the staff assigned locker rooms based on assumed gender at the door, and then waited until the event was in full swing to have someone barge into the room and announce that everyone the staff perceived as female needs to wear a two piece women's bathing suit or we had to leave.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They took all of our money, shut the event down, and refuse to issue refunds to the attendees of the event. Knowing full well, with prior knowledge, and while being in communication with the event organizer. They took our money and ran, and pulled a really shitty stunt while they were at it. Avoid at all costs if you're queer this is not a safe space. read more

I went to the brooklyn bathhouse back in June & I did the 3 pools it was amazing I got a robe & slippers so I could feel comfortable during my time there which was awesome, so I booked a massage for the following week & I was amazingly awesome. So I decided that I would go again to the pools & this time I would go to the sauna as well [[HIGHLIGHT]]I arrived 40 minutes late to a 4hr pool session & I was denied.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am only leaving a review now because my friends asked me about my experience there because they were looking for an awesome pool therapy experience. I would still recommend the brooklyn bathhouse to anyone looking for an awesome experience. JUST DONT BE LATE & No I didn't get my money back for that 3rd uneventful experience. read more
