Omg !!!! That is my new spa getaway in Brooklyn . It was peaceful, intimate, and the service was good . The esthetics were pleasing and the drinks were good . I received the CBD deep tissue massage . And I loved the fact that you have full access all day . This was just what I needed . I would give Body by Brooklyn a 5 stars however I say a 4/5 only because of the options for food . The menu looked great, a bit pricy but I didn't want a full meal . If anything I would add small snacks to the menu like trail mix, chips, bowl of fruit, or even assorted chocolates if possible . Note that bookings require a $50 deposit (please read the fine print), and Friday is considered weekend pricing. The great: the website is logical and it's easy to book and pay. The staff are super nice, very kind and accommodating, and have a pleasant way of popping out of the woodwork when you need something. I very much enjoyed my body polish with Nadia? And the few people who were here during my visit were all kind and kept to themselves. Cons: it's really dark inside. The walls are black, the lighting is dim, and there are very few windows. If you're looking for airy, spirit lifting vibes, this isn't it. It's like jazz club dark. It's a small spa, good for a half day. The hot tub is tiny relative to the number of lounge chairs at 8 x8 ft, which makes it kinda awkward to get in with strangers. The street curb appeal is terrible. Overall, a lovely way to decompress on a hooky Friday afternoon. I would recommend this place for a buy out bachelorette day - it's small enough to accommodate a party of 20 and have the whole place to yourself, with lots of little pockets of space to break into small group conversations. read more

Was charged for a 50 min massage after I clearly stated I only had a 30 minute massage . I would never recommend this establishment. The Jacuzzi was filthy. The grout was black,and the tiles are brown. My skin immediately began to break out in hives. Also, the cold plunge was not working, which was a significant part to my visit. In the rest area there should be no phones allowed. It is the worst thing to come to a spa and try to relax when someone is having a full-blown conversation next to you. I used to come here regularly, and was planning on bringing a friend for her birthday next week. I will never return even with the VIP ticket that was given to me due to cold plunge not working. (it would be nice if you told your customers that things are down for maintenance before they spend their money to come in and use these amenities.) read more

THEE WORSE, if I could give 0 stars I would! I went to Body by Brooklyn as an extended Mothers Day gift to myself , to just relax and be pampered. I spent $200 dollars on the CBD Swedish massage, and my experience was the complete opposite of pleasant and enjoyable. The service was very unprofessional, and I was so uncomfortable and on edge by the masseuse "Nadine". My appointment was at 11:30am and due to the congested traffic and no available parking in the area I was running behind schedule. I had called and informed the facility of my situation. The receptionist, was very pleasant, She stated "It's ok, we're here, she chuckled and then said, "see you when you get here". I finally arrived and I'm now sitting in the waiting area for my masseuse. The masseuse swings open the door and nastily asks me my name. Then she says " you booked an 80 minute massage and you're just now showing up"? She then sucks her teeth and shakes her head, then she holds out her hand in a suggestive manner to say "your room is over there. My room didn't look like it was cleaned at all, there was a bunch of lint and dirt on the area carpet, it was disgusting. But, I proceeded to lay face down and before the session began she takes her pointer finger and presses it on my back and says this "top has to come off" then nastily says "And I have a 1:00 appointment and your session will be cut short", she then proceeds to suck her teeth again". She then lathers oil on my body. After the service was done she left towels wrapped around my feet, and head and said you can get dressed. I refused to stay and indulge the other ambiance at the facility because of how rude the masseuse was to me. This was by far the worse spa experience! read more

The therapist was excellent and addressed all my needs. However, I have been a regular to the facility since its grand opening back in 2006. I was excited to find a level of luxury and quality right in that neighborhood. I have hosted many parties there over the years. The ambiance has significantly deteriorated. The locker rooms are awful--most of the lockers did not work. The amenities are poor quality-even the paper towels feel like what us used in grade schools. The towels are hard and dry--and not as large as the spas towels that were previously available throughout the facility. I tried to continue to support but after yesterday, I will not be returning. read more

The order was taken, but after waiting for about 20 minutes, we were advised that it could not be fulfilled. It was at this point that we were provided with salted snacks. Although I made my service and food selection online and it was confirmed I had to remind the staff of my service and food selections. I even received the wrong food order, after it was confirmed upon arrival. I rated a 3 because it is all areas that make the overall experience great. Body by Brooklyn made my birthday the best day ever. The service on the walk in was so pleasant, very calm atmosphere and welcoming and calming service. If you don't have a bathing suit and flip flops they have for sale. You're provided with a robe and towels to dress and then they take you on a tour of the facility. The dressing room is big and fully stocked with feminine products, there's a shower restroom and lockers to put your personal belongings. I had a 50 minute cbd massage my masseuse Julia was amazing. She really rubbed out all my knots and tension points, very relaxing. The restaurant/ bar was also really good. The food smelled so tasty I had the sampler which consists of dumplings, spring rolls, curry puffs, and Rangoon so mouth watering I enjoyed every bite. My mango sunrise was the perfect thing to wash it down I had 2 very well made and refreshing. The wet lounge consisted of jacuzzi, wet plunge, and multiple saunas, steam rooms and showers very zen. There's also a quiet lounge where I took a 2 hour nap and felt like I was in paradise. This place was just what the doctor ordered and I'll definitely be back, I highly recommend. read more

Late post - Celebrated a friends birthday here, The booking process was organized and detailed. We arrived for a day filled with relaxation and fun and that is what we experienced. The last time I had a massage was in 2019 so one was needed badly. we booked multiple services and all hit the spot from the facials to the massages. Some parts of the facility were not accessible due to Covid however we were able to enjoy the experience with what was open. Facility - the space it self does need some upgrades but it seems certain areas were under renovation. Amenities - a welcoming sight especially during a pandemic Service - from the front desk to the bartender they were all friendly and very accommodating Food - lacking, but hey i aint come here to eat. Booked a party of 5 for a day party that consisted of 4 hours, the booking process was quick and they explained all the necessities for the day off and answered all questions 5 Star service: We had a reserved area by the fireplace waiting for us with gifts for everyone in our party and a bottle of champagne. Our host Shanice was so accommodating and checked in with us continuously to make sure my friend enjoyed her birthday. She attended to our very need and wants and even cleared up and discrepancies we had when someone in our party was double booked for the same treatment. My Patricia masseuse focused on my problem areas and made me feel as if I were floating afterwards. 3 Star facilities and small kinks in service: The massage rooms were very basic and provided minimal ambience. My massage room was close to a busy hallway so I heard a lot of walking and conversations going on outside but my masseuse was good in helping me relax and block that out. The wet lounge area was quite small. The jacuzzi can prob fit 6-8 people comfortably. There was more than one party in the spa during the day so I wondered what would happen if another party came in while mines was in the wet lounge. The steam room was small as well with a comfortable 6-8 capacity as well. Food: the food was definitely ordered outside the spa. We had to order days in advance so I suspected this was the reason. Body By Brooklyn was where I spent my President's Holiday since we were blessed w/ the day off from work. Although I love Sojo Spa, I wanted a quick local getaway in which I could enjoy spa amenities while remaining in Brooklyn. Thankful that a relative gave me a Body By Brooklyn Giftcard for Christmas, it became a no-brainer to visit this particular place. I called them and they confirmed that they were open for normal business hours during the holiday and that although the saunas are out of order, the wet lounge area is still open. Traveling there required me to take a train to the Downtown section of Brooklyn and then take about a 15 minute bus ride. 4 out of 5 Stars -that is the rating that I have chosen since I had a good experience. As soon as you come through the entrance door, you are greeted by the front desk receptionists. Channel and Erika (hope that I spelled their names correctly) were both lovely and kind as they checked me in, took my payment, proivded me w/ a bath robe + towel and then allowed me to go into the locker rooms to change. Body by Brooklyn's General Spa Admission ($49) includes use of basic spa amenities which includes their wet loungr area and the dry lounge. The Manager came inside to instruct us on which lockers to use (some were out of order) and how to actually "lock" your items inside. The women's locker room had all of the necessities (extra towels, shampoo, lotion, hygiene products, etc) including showers and benches. The Wet Lounge is rather cozy w/ a steam room, a jacuzzi/warm pool and a cold pool. Several deck style and regular chairs as well as mini benches are there for patrons to sit on in the wet lounge. There was also a massage bed (it was not in use at the time). The jacuzzi/warm pool and the steam room were great and I felt myself in pure bliss and in relaxation mode. The Dry Lounge has a fireplace with various seating arrangements as well as a flat screen tv, pillows in certain areas, etc. Cool artwork is part of the nice decor. Phone chargers are in a couple of places and so I utilized these while sitting by the fireplace and watching Dr. Phil on the television. Body By Brooklyn's Cafe is there and I observed other individuals ordering/enjoying the food and beverages. There are spa packages available for an additional fee. I was informed that if you book a spa service, you can enjoy the general spa amenities for free. Thank you to Body By Brooklyn for the complimentary vip pass to come back another day (once the saunas are fixed) to further enjoy the spa amenities. I will be booking a 60 minute massage during my next visit. Hopefully, this can occur sometime this year. read more

I had a wonderful solo birthday experience at Body by Brooklyn. I want to start by thanking Justin, Chevon and Kailey for their phenomenal customer service and warm greetings. I was pleasantly greeted first by Justin who also tended to my bar needs where he served me a Mango Sunrise (I think). It was a nice touch before my services started with Chevon and Kailey. The deep pore cleansing facial done by Chevon made my skin glow and I felt VERY refreshed! She was gentle and made me feel exceptionally comfortable throughout the whole experience. 10/10!! The hot stone massage done by Kailey was soothing and insightful. I received a great massage where the hot stones were actually hot lol! (I've had bad experiences in the past). She also left me with some great stretching tips for the road as well. Overall, the facility was nice. I didn't have an issue with the amenities included. My husband and I made reservations at Body by Brooklyn. We were greeted with a warm hello at the front desk and given robes and towels to change into. We lounged in the Dry lounge while we waited for our couples massage and it was so relaxing. Our massage therapists, Shaneila and Kendo, were so down to earth and cool. They gave us the best Swedish massage we've ever had! After the massage, we both had esthetician services - I had the deep pore cleansing facial and he had the CBD facial. I must say, it was my first time having an esthetician service and it was truly amazing! The esthetician was patient, friendly, and gave me great tips on how to work on my facial acne. We also enjoyed the Hot sauna for a few minutes, which was exactly what we needed after our massages and esthetician services.
