As a woman of a certain age not in her 20's I was excited to see where Bathhouse was going to land between pool party and spa on a sunny summer Friday. The rooftop was full for our 3:15pm check-in time, but organized and everyone we encountered was cool and respectful. The pool wasn't quiet by any means, but people were there to relax and hang with friends vs. party. Brittania was an outstanding host, making sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. There were plenty of towels and slippers even though a regular told us it was the most crowded he has seen it. There's not a ton of shade and not every daybed comes with an umbrella, so definitely be prepared with sun protection. The snack & drink selection is awesome. Plenty of delicious and reasonably priced snacks, natural wines and NA beverages. Love the water stations throughout-bring your water bottle! The baths were hopping but I didn't have any trouble finding a spot in the pools or saunas. Definitely check out the Aufguss and cold plunge-such a cool experience! The pools aren't as varied as Aire but the salt water pool was the only one I really missed. It would be very helpful if the pools and saunas had some signs or descriptions. The ladies locker room was hectic but well-equipped. All and all a great experience and I hope to visit again soon. read more

Checked out Bathhouse for the first time recently for a couples 50 minute Full Body Massage massage and here is my take from my experience. Pros: The self check-in & out using the kiosk was seamless. The facility was easy to navigate and clean overall. The various pools and sauna's available for use. Cons: The massage treatment room was a stone's throw away from the lower level thermal pools. The music and various chatter from the thermal pool area could be heard the entirety of our couples massage. The music in the treatment room was almost competing with the volume of the music and voices outside of the room. It was extremely distracting and hard to unwind. Pieces of the ceiling fell down right on top of my partner during the massage. The Therapist cleaned up the debris dusting it off of his bed and changing the sheets and towels. There wasn't a real apology and or mention of the incident from the therapist and or management (we gathered it was not escalated) before leaving out. Moments in the massage felt like we were being stretched vs massaged. read more

We senior gals, in skirts for swim, ignored the poultry predicament and elevatored to the rooftop pool where the hoi polloi huddled for wet and wonder. Besties in bikinis, boyfriends beckoning with a Bathouse Spritz, a burly beard solo and stalking the scene. 101 degree weather, we welcome the murky stew. Accommodations so lovely one patron in sunglasses and a white thong-th-thong-thong-thong had to be forcibly removed after overstaying her two and a half hour slot. A good time was had by all. One hundred and fifty dollars for a daybed is the way to go. read more

The last time I was here was 2021 and I now know why. I'm not sure what I just paid $300 for. But it was not a massage. First the person I was scheduled for was changed then when I saw who it was replaced by I immediately knew it would not be to my satisfaction, the person also knew. I am a full grown sized woman and the petite masseuse was not going to suffice. I believe they have missed their calling and should instead work in sports medicine, HSS or for a professional sports league. There was no choice of aroma for the initial deep inhale. Just immediately elbows and knees in my body (I did not book deep tissue). After 20 minutes I had to speak up. It then changed to rubbing oil on me and stretching. The massage does not start at 10 and was over by 1120. So I paid for 1.5hrs and received 1. The two stars is for the expansion of bathhouse Williamsburg and the additional space. There's still so much wrong with the process. Check in was a cluster f*ck. The lockers don't work properly and there seems to never be anyone to help. Bathhouse was exactly what I needed -- a perfect mix of relaxation and atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed, clean, and gives off a calm, upscale vibe from the moment you walk in. I loved rotating between the different pools and saunas, and the overall experience felt both rejuvenating and social without being overwhelming. Staff was friendly, everything felt well maintained, and the whole visit helped me completely unplug for a few hours. Came here plenty during the summer - mostly used the rooftop pool but took dips in their other pools downstairs. Rooftop pool is amazing, especially on early, random weekdays. So peaceful and relaxing. I loved how they also had beanbags so non-daybed visitors aren't restricted to sitting on concrete. I also appreciated the locker cleanliness, plus they were never out of supplies. Only thing to note is that the shower drains get clogged easily so there were some issues with that. read more

This was my first time coming to bathhouse. I purchased the first timer day pass which included a personal tour. They show you around and also encourage you to try the afgus. I honestly can say I accomplished things I never thought I would prior to coming to this spa. I came at 7pm and it was pretty crowded. The place it HUGE so it wasn't like we were all crammed up. This spa is a unisex spa so both woman and men share spaces. With that being said, there was a lot of boo loving going on lol (nothing inappropriate though) I went to the cafe and had pork dumplings and a Mai tai. I honestly was not a fan of the Mai tai. It tasted like prune juice. What I thought would be a good time with me and my partner ended up being an off experience because of one of the servers who works there. Our server ended up greeting us both at the host stand to ask if we had a day pass or day bed and we had a day bed. Instead of helping us and looking for our reservation she had an attitude and directed us to someone else. We got our day beds and the same server ended up being the one to take care of us but was rude the entire time! I come to Bathhouse with my partner monthly and this experience has far been the worst. I've been here a few times now and have always enjoyed coming here. This was my first time being back since they added the rooftop pool and additional baths. I recommend going on a weekday when it is less crowded. The additional space has helped with that but it still gets pretty busy. This was my second time dining in the cafe. This time there was an automatic 20% gratuity included. This is after paying at the counter, $17 for 4 wings, getting my own water, and getting the hot sauce that the staff member said "you can go grab yourself". Other than cook the chicken myself, I did most of the work but was charged a mandatory 20% tip. It ended up being over $5/wing. Definitely recommend eating in the area beforehand. Went back to Bathhouse today and they have added quite a few new features since our last visit. The most notable addition is the rooftop swimming pool, which is now heated during the winter months. The moment you step outside onto the roof, the first thing that catches your eye is the steam rising off the water. As people climb out of the pool, you can see the steam rolling off them as well. It is a genuinely impressive sight. The pool itself is quite large and we really enjoyed spending time up there. There is also a sauna on the rooftop level, though according to my wife it was not putting out much heat, which makes sense given how cold it was outside. The pool temperature is another story entirely. It is very warm and you feel completely comfortable while in the water despite the winter air surrounding you. Whenever I started feeling a slight chill, I would just dip my head under and instantly felt fine. It is a really unique experience and one of the cooler things we have done in a while. I skipped the ice plunge today. I just was not feeling up to it and spent most of my time relaxing in the regular pools instead. My wife made good use of the saunas and I checked them out briefly before stepping away, not wanting to overdo it and get dehydrated. She was in need of some solid rest and relaxation and Bathhouse delivered on that front. It was a great Saturday. I usually frequent the Flatiron location. This time I had a giftcard for Williamsburg (the gift cards can only be used at specific locations) so I went to Bathhouse Williamsburg when I had off on a bank holiday. This location feels smaller than Flatiron but is also spread across 3 levels (main level, basement treatment level and the rooftop). I like the self check in and check out process here. Very seamless and Flatiron should incorporate the same one. It was very busy when I arrived at 12pm. The locker room was clean and stocked with plenty of towels. The main bath area is just outside of the locker room. The baths were not super crowded but there were also a lot of people just standing around mingling around the baths. This location seems to attract a younger crowd. Flatiron feels a bit more adult. The cafe on the main level was small and crammed. As with Flatiron the cafe is overpriced so I didn't have anything to eat or drink there. The basement level is where you will have treatments and there are a number of small pools there. The area is meant to be quiet but it was just as loud as the other baths upstairs. An employee banged a gong and reminded everyone this was a silent area. The warning didn't do much to lower the sound level. I had a great massage with Momo and did not hear the outside noise in the room at all, thanks to the music playing. The rooftop in the winter is a treat, if you can survive the walk from the elevator to the pool. I went on a day that was 20 degrees outside. First I utilized the small barrel sauna up there which was perfectly warm. I then headed to the pool which is heated. The pool was not crowded. In the summer I hear it gets ridiculously crowded up there so winter time is your best chance to go. The bar on the roof was surprisingly open and people were ordering drinks despite the chilly weather. The views from the roof are top notch. Overall this location is different than Flatiron for a variety of reasons but I did enjoy myself. I recommend going on a weekday morning for the least amount of people. I would come back to this location especially for the rooftop. read more

We went on a 35-degree day and it was honestly the perfect winter reset. We did 15 minutes sauna + cold plunge x3 and loved how easy the flow of the space was. We started with the Banya sauna (190°) for 15 minutes (phew), grabbed coconut water and juice from the café, then headed upstairs to the outdoor pool, which was amazing. The rooftop pool sits around 84°F, and the skyline view is unreal, especially when it's freezing outside. Round two was cold plunge (45-50°F) + 15 minute dry sauna (165°), then back upstairs again for the outdoor pool. We finished with the 1:30 event sauna (175°F) (really nice ceremony) and ended with one last cold plunge. Overall, the facility was super clean, well-run, and such a great experience. They have the reserved rooftop chair option to get extra money out of you. Me and My friend paid extra for a reserved seat and it got taken by someone with a regular day pass. Staff ended up moving us.... Wich is funny because when we were seated in the chair WE PAID FOR they have to pick it for you than when we asked to change seats to get more sun staff says "they're fully booked". Did a day pass on the hottest day of the year. I went at 9AM and there were people waiting outside before they opened. First off, this place is huge, 2 floors of saunas and cold plunges, a restaurant and impressive Rooftop pool with a view. The Cold Plunge on the main floor at 44 degrees is huge and definitely cold. The Cold Plunge on the lower floor at 52 degrees is less impactful and smaller. The Banya and Steam Sauna were my favorites (over the Tropical and Dry Sauna). The mini sauna on the roof was not working. Locker rooms were clean enough with showers. Can definitely get busy and loud especially after 5pm and all day crowdedness on the Roof if it is a sunny summer day. There are some seats on the roof which do not require purchase like a daybed which is nice. Plenty of towels to go around. There are water fountains. I didn't have any large issues with cleanliness at the location, which was a prior complaint. A lot of staff members and were generally friendly. Nice that you can buy a Day Pass and stay there all day (ranges from $35-$85) - they seem to be implementing some type of dynamic pricing. Prices also seem to be trending higher. I did not partake in the massages, restaurants or mini bar area on the Roof. Would definitely come back on an Occasional basis. read more

Great place to unwind. Has two floors of baths, saunas and a steam room. In addition, there is a rooftop pool with comfy lounge chairs to view the skyline and we got to see the sunset over Manhattan. If they also had a salt water pool or turned one of their cold plunge pools into a salt water one, it would be perfect. The bartender on the roof was not friendly at all. They charge an additional 20% tip on anything you order automatically. So when you don't have to work for your tips, stuff like this can happen. But the rest of the staff were great. Also, the food even though overpriced was so delicious. I loved the cappuccino, sweet potato with chimichurri and hummus and the miso wings. The portions are small so plan on the food making you hungrier than before eating. There are no phones allowed in the bathhouse and it's a nice break but the roof does allow phones. Also it's surrounded by atleast 3, 5G towers which isn't great for you physically. But I had a great time overall. read more

They call it a "day pass" but in reality you pay over $100 for your slot and you only get 2h and 45min of rooftop access and 2.5 access to daybed. They literally kick you out from the roof after not even 3 hours and you can't even go back to the roof after doing sauna sessions. There is literally a person standing and forbidding you to enter back the rooftop pool area. Forget tanning, you can't even swim in the pool. It was not even crowded today and there were available spots. But the craziest part is that when I asked what can I do to get back to the roof, they said - I have to book another "day pass" worth of ~$140 for the "full experience" = another 3 hours to access the pool. The worst part is nobody communicates this with you in the beginning. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS! Just trying to get more and more money out of people by misleading them and not fully disclosing terms of $100+ so called "day pass." I never seen anything like that. If you're looking for a relaxing place, this is not the spot. To start, it's not a very diverse crowd (cue being awkwardly misfit already before even getting into a bathing suit because you're not a certain "type"). The awkward stares from staff and people who fit the "type" while you walk pass them is quite an experience no one ever should be in. The background music was not relaxing. The minute you walk in, you get an overwhelming hit of essential oils synging up your nose. Also, if you have a question, dont ask because attitude is part of their service. The vibes were not there, or well, at least if you werent one of "them.' If you do decide to come here, just be aware that taking a photo of the outside of a pretty sauna entrance for your yelp review is grounds for removal (when i clearly saw other people taking photos too) but couples showing way too much pda in the pools is fine. The staff member that told me no phones couldn't just tell me nicely, she yelled "no phones" super loudly as to embarrass me, then watched me pick up my stuff and closely followed me into the locker room as if I would take it out again after that embarrassing moment. So yeah, I left and I'm not coming back. If youre traveling and looking to relax at a bathhouse, check out an OG korean spa instead. They're much nicer and don't belittle you. Kelsey got me another water with electrolytes so sweet the three stars are for her. I wish I could give this place four stars ..Froze my feet dead.. OK that was the first time then we went into the stone wall Sauna room for 10 minutes. I had to jump into another cold pool after that . . Then after that, we went into the augfuss steam room 6 pm augfuss is an sauna ritual done by a guy who does like a sauna mediation along with scents like eucalyptus on the sauna rocks & he waves around the towels do you inhale the scents..Kelsey informed me bathhouse was in the top 5 of best augfuss rituals.. it was relaxing & healing ....guess what after that I had to get into this freezing water again this time I just went for it & jumped in if I had to do it might as well get it over with..but by this time I got the hang of it.. overall my body did feel amazing. Kelsey Showed me the rest of the sauna rooms and showed me how to use them the tropical sauna room and the other pools that are not as cold, which I don't know why I didn't jump in those versus the freezing cold ones, but I guess it's a benefit to it or something so I decided to get a full body massage for 50 minutes. I went up to the front desk and schedule it for 7 PM young man at the front desk light brown eyes light brown short locks hair HE suggested the massage therapist. (Said her hands were strong & she was husky) she was neither lol Her name was Iyanna she was pleasant upon meeting. She asked me what area of my body was giving me issues or what I wanna focus on is what I told her my shoulder since I work in Mortgage and it can be stressful also since I've been running a lot, my side, upper thigh has been a little bit sore anyWho I assume she asked these questions so she can focus on these areas. She did a nice massage I would say decent she did pinpoint all the pressure points in my body, which I appreciate it. However, I accidentally took my phone in there so by the time I took my clothes off, she started at 7:04 so I looked at my phone before she came in. She does my all over Massage pressure points felt great however she didn't focus on any other areas what she asked me about she did ask me if I was comfortable. She did ask me if my head was comfortable because the head board was kind of low so she stops the massage at 7:52. It was a 50 minute massage which I paid for and it started at 7:04 so she said we start at 7:02 which I thought we start the massage when you start massaging or touching my body not when I'm taking my clothes off so anyway, she agreed that she stopped at 48 minutes when I said OK well what happened to the other two minutes because I paid for 50 minutes this New York City we wanna get what we paid for. she said oh well you can use or try all the other massage therapists? I'm sorry you're not happy with your massage. I didn't say I wasn't happy with it. I just want 50 minutes not 48 minutes if I'm paying you $130 technically for 50 minutes I need my other two minutes..the conversation lasted about two minutes. You could've been massaging the parts that you didn't focus on that you asked about from the beginning needless to say I don't know if I'll be using their Massage services anymore or maybe I'll try earlier in the day and take Iyanna's advice and use someone else I still gave her a tip and I definitely like the place. It's just I wanna get what I pay for all the minutes two minutes can count when it comes to a massage, you can get those last stress pains out of someone then she mentioned oh I could've massaged your head, but you had a towel on. You asked me everything else, but you couldn't ask me to take the towel off my Head. She just gave excuse after excuse. Also they should offer free sunscreen on the roof, they are charging wayyy to much for it. My advice for a good visit: go on a weekday as early as possible. First time at Bathhouse Williamsburg and OMG what an amazing day I had. Best birthday girls day out gift! We bought tickets for 9:30 am on a Wednesday for $45. I figured we'd spend a good 3 hours. We started with the hot pools--I loved that you can start with warm, move up to warmer then hot. Same with the cold pools. The saunas were lovely, my favorite was the humid sauna with essential oils. The rooftop pool and sauna were fun. Sitting in a hot pool on a cold winter day felt great! So good we stayed 5 hours. Loved loved the things that were included with the day pass--a bathing suit dryer, slippers, towels, hair dryer, a locker and much more! We will be coming back! read more

I've been on a mission to try as many spas this year as possible and bath house in Williamsburg was a gem find in a deceivingly small building they've made the best for the space. Make sure to bring your own sandals and robe, the look is giving industrial chic, offering about 5 larger pools including the one on the roof (with a beautiful view upstairs & would suggest for a vibe in hot weather) and about 3 smaller pools all offering hot- freezing options. They also offer dry and steam saunas about 4 just enough to have a variety. They've made an oasis in the middle of Brooklyn which isn't easy. They do offer a small (over priced) cafe with limited shared seating if you're really hungry. However I would definitely suggest trying the hammam bath so amazing and relaxing you'll feel brand new. I visited this establishment for my cousin's birthday and I had a great experience. We started out at the rooftop pool and it was very nice. We got there early so we were able to experience the pool before it got crowded. I booked a massage and it was really nice. I came here for the day with my friend and we had our own personal massages. We proceeded with each individual pool which were room temp, hot and freezing cold. There was saunas and steam rooms and so much more to sit back relax and enjoy. This is male and female nit separated. The only thing we do have our own shower rooms and lockers where we store our personal belongings. They do have some things like towels for sale. Here you can even get gift cards for others. Multiple pool and sauna options with different vibes from uv light to intense heat. Cold and hot tubs. Every basic toiletry needs and towels with slippers provided (highly recommend). However, it was not packed when I got there. The bathhouse provides slippers, towels, shower amenities (body wash, shampoo, etc.), and other personal items. You can show up with just your change of clothes, bathing suit, and water bottle. The lockers in the locker room are unlocked using your personal wristband so your items are kept safe. No phones are allowed in the bathhouse area, but they do have a clock so you can keep time. I would recommend having your Fitbit or a stopwatch if you want to track time. When you enter downstairs, there are 3 pools (normal, cold, and hot). There is also a dry sauna, tropical sauna, and steam room. There are seats off to the side of the pools and a marble slab that people lay on. I asked the staff members how everything worked since it was my first time, and everyone was really helpful. I tried everything there and would recommend the same to anyone else. The only thing I would not do the next time is the normal pool. While it is the largest one, it is always full with other guests so you can not detach or decompress in there. People do speak within the pools and sauna rooms, but it is usually at a low volume. I went with my best friend and we used a 30% discount so our entry was around $30 which was not bad for 4 hours at the bathhouse. You can stay however long you want once you enter! read more

The best $41.80 I have spent so far this year on my self care! Granted, this is the final cost I paid for a day pass, and arriving on a Wednesday at 9AM is truly the way to go. There were other patrons waiting inside the vestibule with me, but everyone was very chill. You get a wristband that is your key to the lockers, which are marked for men or women. The women lockers room had plenty of toilets, showers supplied with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and even a machine to dry out your bathing suit prior to leaving for the day! TONS of lockers and benches to make changing comfortable. I truly appreciated the high powered hair dryer and the facial cleanser and moisturizer from Public Goods. Every comfort has been thought of and supplied. Once inside the bathhouse, everything is co-ed. I used all the saunas, banya, and all the pools at their various temperatures. I appreciated that there were towel stations in very practical locations, and the staff were literally everywhere to answer your questions and keep the place tidy. I had zero issues with the cleanliness and everyone I encountered was incredibly mindful of noise levels. People of all ages were around me come 11AM when I noticed the place start to get more crowded. I truly enjoyed jumping from the cold pools to the tropical sauna or into the steam room. I loved coming here solo and would absolutely come back again solo, and yes, on an early weekday. I can't imagine what this place is like on the weekend. I will definitely give the restaurant a go next time I visit; I heard plenty of patrons trying to strategically make plans to go when it wouldn't be so packed. [Edited review] I'd give 2.5 stars if I could. This place is better than a 2 but not sure I'd give them a 3. It's just alright. Definitely got that neighborhood local vibe going for it, which is nice. It's a good thing to do with a couple friends on a weekend. It is NOT a quiet, chill spot though, so mind your expectations there. The place, at least on the weekend, gets super busy and loud, so there goes the chill factor. It's mostly a bunch of pools of varying temperatures and a few saunas, 1 steam room. I'd say it's a bit overpriced but what isn't in Brooklyn? The body scrub was not worth that price tag though, having gotten many a body scrub treatment from various spas. Café is delightful. Aesthetics were on point--the look of the cafe space as well as bakery selections. We got the chia pudding, which tasted off the hook! The café menu is a bit limited though. For noshing in between detoxification, you'd think they'd have more to offer than bread-y, sweet, baked goods, which was the majority of their offerings. Their juices were not fresh pressed so what even is the point? No health/detox benefit from the majority of their menu offerings. But would ask that management triple check the cleanliness of the pools--a couple of them seemed either off-colored or there were things (maybe built up oils?) floating in the water, which was off-putting. DO NOT go if you have sensitive skin! Also word of caution to think twice before entering the super hot Banya room. Above all said, It's a cute thing to do for a few hours but certainly not a full day endeavor. If you want to go, especially on a weekend, recommend going earlier in the day. Probably not the best for large crowds, as spaces (saunas, pools) get easily crowded and towels get used up quickly. Definitely read up on some of the cleanliness concerns. Went with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a great time. The space wasn't crowded and the vibe was really friendly and chill on a weekday evening. Watching the sunset from the heated rooftop pool over the Manhattan skyline was just the icing on the cake. Booking again for hubby's birthday and my birthday! read more
