This was my first time entering a Bath &Body Works store in years!! I used to be obsessed with the Japanese Cherry Blossom scent, but it looks like more scents have come out in the last 5+ years since I've been in the store. Even the packaging has changed, what!! Now they have halloween themed scents?? wow haha Where have I been? The store was PACKED when we were there. Kudos to the employees for maintaining the store, keeping the shelves/tables fully stocked and organized. The employees on the floor were nice and helpful. There were so many great sales going on for 3-wick candles, body sprays, etc. I didn't purchase anything, but most likely will return the next time they have a nice sale. First off great customer service. My girlfriend is more of a fan than I am. She's able to get what she wants, all for a reasonable cost. Their employees are very friendly and helpful. Whoever is doing the hiring, keep doing exactly what you're going with. Have been impressed! As for the products, more for her. Us nutty creatures have been cut out considerably. They used to have a pine smelling soap bar I loved. It had some sort of spikes in it, that made scrubbing even better. Sadly it has been discontinued. I'm not sure why but hope they bring this back. That was incredible, but probably market demand was responsible for this. read more

*Posted 7/6/20* Back on 6/28/20 I saw lots of new products that smell great; however, getting into the store has changed a bit. Saltwater Breeze is one name brand that has a wonderful smell for both men and women. I can see myself getting the lotion and body gel on July 17th. I might have to wait in line to get into the store, but it will be worth it for this porduct. Speaking of lines, long lines to get into various stores inside of Tyson's Corner Mall are the new standards. Lines with six free Social Distancing have been formed. Masks are required to enter this store in limited capacity. There are staff members counting who comes in and who leaves before new people can enter the store. Hand sanitizer was also offered upon entering the establishment too. Since this happened week ago, I can't remember right now if they also checked our temperature too. Nevertheless, I am happy the store is taking this Coronavirus seriously. read more

I'll start by stating if it were an option to give Bath and Body Works a no star review, that's how I would rank my experience with their customer service team. I made a purchase back in September that I decided I wanted to return in January. All products were completely unused. Before making my way back to the store, I made sure to check my emailed receipt from my September purchase to make sure I was still up to date with Bath and Body Works return policy. In my emailed receipt from 9/25/22, there is a hyperlink included at the bottom that takes you directly to the Bath and Body Works website explaining their return policy. I figured that was the best way to go about determining the most up to date return policy, as it is included in an emailed receipt from the company that takes you directly to the companies website. Turns out I'm wrong. I went to return the product to the Tyson's Corner store where I originally purchased the products. The sales associate informed me that I would not be eligible for a refund due to the amount of time that has passed. This directly contradicts the information sent to my email from Bath and Body Works. After a brief discussion with the sales associate and store manager, I was advised to reach out to customer service. As I was leaving the store, I called customer service and after 4 hours of conversation with multiple different customer service representatives throughout multiple different departments, I was left with no resolution. The last hour and a half of my phone call was spent talking to Daniel in the legal department who ensured me I would receive a phone call regarding my issue in 3-5 business days. I received a phone call 2 weeks after my claim and again, I was left talking with a customer service representative who had no idea of my situation, offered me no resolution, and has me starting back at zero again. I have time stamped screen recordings/screen shots of my emailed receipt that proves that the Bath and Body Works return policy is not updated when accessing through the companies own emails. I have offered to send the screen recordings to each representative I have spoken with, which no one has accepted. At the end of each conversation, I get the measly "we're sorry this is your experience with us, we hope you stay a loyalty member with us and continue to shop in our store." At no point will I ever return to a Bath and Body Works knowing this is how you handle issues where the fault is in your hands. read more

I stood at the wrong line apparently and it wasn't until the correct line for long that I was correct which I don't mind but the tone was condescending and rude. I visited this location during their one day sale where all hand soaps were $2.50. It was chaos! Just to give an idea, most of the sales they have throughout the year are 5 for $23. This was a super sweet deal and loads of people were there to take advantage of it. You would think that staff members would be overwhelmed or stressed by the large number of people but the employees at this location were fantastic and handled the crowd well. They were very helpful, lively, and friendly! The cashier who rang me up, Brigitte, was awesome and we happened to share the same favorite soap scent - Rose Water and Ivy (btw Peach Bellini is a super close contender). Whoever the manager is at this location is terrific at hiring the right people and training their staff. Kudos! read more

Walked into the Bath and Body works at Tyson's and got greeted by one staff member who was fixing items on the shelf and seemed very irritated when I would ask her a question. I went in there because I was looking online and noticed their soaps were on sale for only $3. Walk in the store and they had NOTHING! Seriously these sales are bogus! I ended up getting the regular priced soaps and couldn't get a single person to answer my questions with a smile. They all seemed very irritated and bothered. Staff are the definition of "helpful." I like trying out my soaps for "heavy perfume" smells before I buy, so it's nice that they have hand washing stations for you to try out all of their products. The only problem is, the store smells so much like all of the perfume items, it's hard to figure out what your hands smell like. Usually, they hand you a coupon when you first enter the store. Else, check online, there' s usually a coupon out there. read more

I visited this location during my lunch hour in the hopes of stocking up on some great sale items. By far, BBW is one of my favorite stores so I tend to frequent them often and visit different stores. I must say this store has the poorest customer service. Their store inventory was by far the most dismal selection I have ever encountered at any BBW. The salespersons looked overworked and displayed a feeling of wanting to be anywhere else but there. It appeared they all needed take their lunch or at least a break but had been unable to take one due to limited staffing. I would blame this on management rather than the store employees on poor schedule management. This store needs to revisit their company goals and vision and push the reset button to get back on track. read more

I don't normally step foot in this store, unless I'm buying something for my mom, my sister, or just anyone who's a girl. Not to say that only girls come here, but I don't normally put this on my "places to go" list. However, this time around, I wanted to write a review on this place mainly because of the customer service. These 5 stars are dedicated to the employees that helped my sister and I during our visits. One of the employees evened remembered us from the other day, which can be a pretty difficult feat. I also learned during my visit that they carry lotion, body wash, cologne, and body spray for men. The selection is a bit small (about five different smells), BUT it's a start. To top it all off, the smells are pretty damn good too. So guys, feel free to check it out. I love Bath & Body Works. The products are yummy. I am the perfect consumer. I get drawn in by colors and shapes. I love the sales, coupons and scents. You can find a gift for anyone at this store. My rating is only on how I was treated on this particular visit. I wanted to get my coupon on. There are so many awesome products that I need help knowing which qualified. The first employee was nice and dismissive. She was preoccupied with a project and didn't have time to give me an answer. I was on a mission so I asked another employee. She was a speck more informative than the first employee, but not by much. I decided to just "wing it" and look by myself. The third employee was on target. He was friendly and actually approached me. He took time to compliment my Christmas gear and fully explained what I wanted to know. He even noticed the "Joy" product I was carrying. He said that the line was on sale and I should use the coupon for something else....score! I started to fill a bag with "Joy" products since they would have made great xmas gifts. Then I decided that I didn't want to support a store that made me feel dismissed. I could always stop at another location closer to home. I decided to ask for a manager after I was done at the cash register. I wanted to let him know how awesome one employee was and how dismissed I felt by the others. The cashier spoke to the manager and he asked her to ask me the reason I wanted him.......I left the store. I didn't need to be dismissed by three people in the same day. It is better to feel disappointed in a business while smelling delicious Peppermint scented body lotion. I highly suggest any of the holiday products - at another location. read more

Thank you, B&BW, for reminding me about the simple joy of friendly service! After several less-than-appealing shop experiences in Tysons today, I was happy to not only get a, "Hello! How are you today?" from a B&BW before I even stepped foot in the store, but a $10 off a $30 purchase coupon, too boot! Yup, I can be bought. Hah, but really, the holiday line up is out, and it's time to update our antibacterial hand soap collection. Tyson's Corner Bath & Body Works was filled with pretty much all your normal findings in any other location except for the appearance here was outstanding . The store seems a little more spacious and EVERYTHING was arranged so neatly. The setup was open . very clean colorful and welcoming . Staff are friendly and helpful with whatever you need even at 6:00 PM during the mall rush hour . I stopped by just to grab a few hand soap refills and I was given a coupon for next month so I will be back here to this location soon to grab candles ,hand sanitizer and home sprays. read more

So, I use to work part time at Bath and Body Works. Not this store in particular but I did. I never really used their products but would buy candles from time to time. Well, a friend of mine told me their candles were buy one get one free this weekend. The autumn scents are quite nice so hey, why not? I stopped in twice this weekend and the service was horrible!! The first experience being with the store manager. Yep, the store manager!! So I'm easy. On Friday 10/23, I pop in and I select 2 candles. The website says the candles are buy one get one PLUS 25% off. Cool!! Well, I select my 2 candles and grabbed some bubble bath and proceed to the check out. Brian, the store manager doesn't say hi nor did he ask me if I was aware about the sale. So I ask if the 25% off was valid in store. I know it is because my friend is standing next time with 8 candles in his bag. Brian says yes, if I have a code. Well, I use to work here so I know how it works. They pick and choose whether or not they wanna offer the discount. And my take was, if you don't want to sale these to me, I'll order online. He was just so rude saying I had to have a barcode or a 4 digit-code. Which wasn't the case because he ended up giving me the 25% because I said I'd just buy online. My issue - at what point does good customer service take precedence over all else? Despite the bad day you may be having, customers choose to buy at your establishment (or one who selected you as manager) and they would rather lose a customer over $3 when organization's website advertises b1g1 plus 25% off and they're giving it to every other customer. Okay, fast forward to today (10/25). I lit one of the candles and it was absolutely amazing! I said, perhaps I should grab one more because after all, they are on sale. And I had a return to make at the mall any way. The same experience!! Seriously?!? Stop pretending you don't know the code and just ring up the candles!! Not to mention the line was sooooo long. I mean like 15 people in line and one register open. I got out of line to ask if anyone else could ring as there were at least 3 other associates in the store. I was told no. Wow! Okay....so I wait. And wait. Finally, a girl comes out to ring. No sense of urgency at all. I think her name was Shermita or something of the sort. She did the whole, you have to have a code etc. I'm like I've stood in this line for 15 minutes and you finally decide to drag yourself up here to help and give customers a hard time?!?! Why? Because you all do not want the sales? I finally said, I use to work here and I know you all have the discount code. So please, just ring me up or I'll order on line. Guess what she did? She applied the code! Sheesh, what is it with these establishments and horrible customer service?!?! Needless to say, I bought my last candle from this location. They won't see me again! The best bath and body works store i have ever been to! Everyone is absolutely amazing and so helpful. I have not had a bad experience here and shop at this location constantly. The managers are sweet and genuinely nice. They have amazing stock and will even bring new stuff out for you to smell before it comes out to see if youd like it. I've been to this store a few times and have shopped the franchise many times (often for gifts for teachers, etc.). This time I had a specific scent/purpose in mind. I asked for some things to replicate a great pedicure experience I'd had at a spa. I was told the scents I was interested in were out of season. Um, OK. "Mint is really a fall thing." Excuse me. How silly of me. Then the salesperson grabbed a container that had a nut-base to it, and I explained I was concerned because of a nut allergy. "I wasn't going to rub it on you. I just took it to let you smell it. It is for feet. I wasn't going to rub your feet. I mean, obviously." Um, clearly you missed the emphasis of my concern, there. I tried to explain that I was really cautious about nut products. My whole family is. Then I was reminded that I should probably shop online. "It is better. Really." Sorry to put you out, sister. Didn't mean to bombard you with things like medical concerns and, like, questions. She then returned to her position at the front of the store to welcome other customers. Hmmm.... Other staff members came by later to ask if I could be helped but I was so disinclined to purchase at that point, I said no. I wound up just going to a drug store and finding something close to what I wanted for less money. I am sure it is of lower quality, but at least the service at Rite Aid was friendly. When I did go online, I found over 20 items that would have been nice to see. If I had spent what I did at the corner drug store for the lotion, socks, scrubs, pedicure set, etc., I would have walked away with about 4 items from Bath & Body. Wish the in-store service was consistent and just nicer. They are products that are linked to happy, relaxing, times. The service should be, as well. read more

Luckily, my husband was ok with me wanting to purchase a few products from the Tyson's Corner Bath and Body Works, especially since the last time I obtained any of the products were due to the generosity of his mother around last summer. However, I had to stick with my promise of just a few so I ended up taking advantage of the buy 3 get 2 free sale (I bought 3 lotions and 2 sprays). Both the workers and the cashier were pretty nice to my husband and I. I had my husband help me select the scents for the lotions and sprays due to his sense in picking out good fragrances. I chose to go with the following lotions: lemon pomegranate cream, apple blossom & lavender, and French lavender & honey. For the body sprays my husband helped me pick the apple blossom & lavender and the lemon pomegranate cream. read more

I worked here back when Paul Tonden was still the manager of the store so I know how the store works. I just want to say that today (posted this before on the wrong store but probably 2months ago) I had some good and bad experience. Walked in around 345pm and the lady who helped me was very nice and gave good tips. I left my 10 off 30 coupon but she told me that I can just pull it up from a link. When I was in the register I told the cashier if I can use it, she said yes but when I showed her the coupon online with a weird code she said she needs to see the actual email. I know it's just a four digit number that is easy to remember and she could have easily gave me the discount but she made it a pain for me. Finally the manager replaced her in the register and she told me that she would just give me the discount. It took me awhile though to get that 10 of 30. I guess conversion doesn't matter to the store anymore 'cause I had no problem walking out of the store without buying anything. Or maybe the manager just gave me the 10 of bec it was her segment. Either way, I probably won't be coming back in the store.
