If you are searching for authentic southern food, COME HERE!! We came here for brunch and this was the best food we tasted ALL WEEKEND. You need a reservation for the best experience. I ordered the unlimited sangria and I was drunk by the end of our reservation. I also ordered the Mac attack with friend chicken and truffle oil. The best Mac and cheese I've tasted!!! I ate half and saved the rest for the airport because I didn't want it to go to waste. My friends ordered the chicken and waffle (the loved it and it's big enough to share), another ordered the shrimp and grits (she enjoyed it), another ordered the southern chicken (and she also loved it), lastly, they shared biscuits and they enjoyed that as well. There was also a DJ and we made room to dance with the table next to us, so fun! This restaurant is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

I was in town for a work trip and the "Gang" decided to stop here for drinks. There was a birthday party going on but it really was not super busy for a Friday night. We all ordered and unfortunately, one of the drinks tasted really bad, so bad it was undrinkable. Turns out the soda gun was not working and that is what they blamed it on. We tried the varieties of flavored "moonshine" and while they did have a strong taste, it did not seem like there was a lot of alcohol in them. That's fine since nobody was looking to get sloshed, it was just surprising. Decent vibe and OK service. I felt the drink prices were a little higher than other places, especially since they were not strong or extra large sized. read more

Boom, pow, Batch! When hunger calls check Yelp! That's exactly what we did one cold rainy Saturday! Hopped in immediately seated on the high tops located to the right of the bar behind the cashiers! Place was moderately full. We got greeted quickly and on to the cocktails we went. I had an old fashioned and sis had another cocktail that I can't remember. We ended up switching drinks though. We decided on appetizers. The oysters came out steaming hot and my sister ate every last one. I put one in my mouth and the flavors were great but I couldn't swallow soooo I had half. If you're a cooked oyster fan go enjoy and if you're into raw oysters, you'll probably still enjoy that option. Servings sizes for the appetizers were good and the crowd is a pleasant one. Live & Love would definitely try again! Reason for the four star vs a five? I had a cocktail that I didn't read about it having egg whites and smelled the rawness of the egg on occasion while drinking it. read more

First, let me start off by saying this is THE place to go for a quick happy hour on CLEMATIS. I decided to stop by clematis on my way home from a busy day, and chose Batch. I've never visited this restaurant but I was excited to try. I had the options to sit indoors or outside, and I decided to go for outside (it was a beautiful day). Next, my wonderful waitress Tae. She was such a sweetheart and took time to check in throughout my meal to make sure I was okay. I started off with the 305 Collins which was recommended to me by Tae. I wasn't too sure about Black tea infused vodka, but let me tell you.... it was delicious. I ended up having two lol. This drink honestly tasted like a spiked fruity soda, but it wasn't strong. My drink fell in the happy hour guidelines, so I got it for half off. $11/2 = $5.50 Let's get to the FOOD! I opted for the happy hour menu, so I got the deviled eggs with bacon bits, 1/4 rack of ribs, and Asian inspired chicken wings. Allllll of this was delicious and I was definitely full! Every food item at an unlimited amount of FLAVOR, and the ribs actually had MEAT haha. I enjoyed the Smokey flavor of the ribs! I ended up ordering some chili to go so my bill was only $43 bucks! Such a bargain with a great atmosphere! The entire staff really sold me on this restaurant! I definitely will be coming again even if it's by myself!! FYI: Hand sanitizer was provided upon entry! Staff were wearing masks. read more

After going for dinner, brunch was the next on the list. A friend of mine wanted to host her first UYE and I doubled up on the fun co-hosting with her. The brunch squad met up on a late Sunday morning and it was a excellent brunchin' time. They accommodated our group of 12 people and we were able to sit together in the middle of the restaurant at the same table. The bottomless mimosa option was a hit for most of us with a purchase of an entree. Our waiter was busy and it was hard to catch him at times for a refill on the drinks. It took longer than I expected with the food to come out and I understand that it was due to it being busy for brunch. The Batch Breakfast had the sunny side up eggs (I opted for scrambled with cheese), bacon, crispy potatoes, and multigrain bread. It suits its name really well and it was enjoyed with each bite. My husband loved the biscuits and gravy and everyone at our table was pleased with what they ordered. Even though it was hectic, our waiter was all smiles and didn't rush us. We were there the entire time enjoying the brunch from start to finish. The staff made sure we were happy with our drinks and food as well as keeping our table clean when necessary. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the downtown West Palm area off of Clematis looking for a brunch place. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to visit a friend up here! Our friend ended up picking: Batch New Southern Kitchen & Tap Address: 223 Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 Honestly, it was not bad getting to the place. It took about an hour to get here. Once, my boyfriend and I arrived. We felt that the area was giving us Las Olas vibes. Plenty of walking to do that is for sure. Cute boutique stores and so many more places to eat and check out! There is street parking and garage parking, in which you need to pay for. My boyfriend and I met up with our friend in a parking garage. We ended up following our friend since he knew the way. Once we got to Batch New Southern Kitchen & Tap, it was packed. People do take their breakfast/lunch serious here haha. In other words, it was packed very for 12pm. I guess I am used to brunch around 1pm. I know it is just an hour difference, but I don't know ...to me it feels as though its a correct "brunchy" time. Luckily, we made reservation through OpenTable (App) for 12pm. We did have to wait a bit more because again place was packed. There is inside and outside seatings. That being said, The only 2 COVID precaution, I felt this place had was: #1 Mask requirement #2 The hostess wipes down the tables before sitting down As for tables being spaced...nada... Felt that tables were too close together. However, it did not bum my experience. We ended up sitting outside on the high tables. The sweet hostess informed us if it rains we can go inside and sit by the bar until tables open. However, it did not rain at all. Later the waitress greeted us nicely. We told her it was my boyfriend and I first time here. She immediately told us we have to try: Cast Iron Pecan Cinnamon Rolls - ($12) --- Blackstrap Molasses, Vanilla, H.M. Pecan Whiskey, Brown Sugar, Candied Pecan ...My sweet tooth caved in and plus I did go a 5 days without eating sweets like ice cream and cookies. I even stopped eating past 8pm too! Thoughts about it: AMAZING! I did not regret eating the Pecan Cinnamon Rolls. The Cast Iron definitely kept the rolls warm while we had conversations going from left to right! [Side Note]: Some of my Yelpers have tempted me to go out and get a cookie or two because of their delicious pics they post! --- stayed strong my Yelpers for a good 5 days, hehe! Anyways, we ended up ordering: Deviled Eggs - ($8) --- Creme Fraiche, Chives, Candied Bacon, Whole Grain Mustard Chicken N Waffles ($21.50) --- Sweet Tea-Brined & Fried 1/2 Chicken, Cheddar Cornbread Waffle, Chili-Thyme Honey, Bourbon-Maple Butter Drink: Toasted Pecan Whiskey Sour ($12) -- My friend got the drink --- Pecan-Infused Whiskey, H.M. Sour Mix, Egg White, H.M. Spice Bitters Thoughts: The boys ended up sharing it because they did not want to eat a lot. --- Or more so, I think they are not brunchy person haha. They ended up eating everything, they loved it! Southern Crab Cake Benedict ($17) --- Poached Eggs, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pecanwood-Smoked Bacon, Brown Butter Hollandaise, Crispy Potatoes Drink: Carolina Sweet Tea ($11) --- American Born Sweet Tea Moonshine, Black Tea, Fresh Lemon Thoughts: Crab Cake Benedict, was delicious! --- Definitely would order it. again. I loved how when I was able to poke my egg the yoke came out--- I found it to be gooey cool haha. My drink choice went well with the dish I ordered. Overall despite, tables not being spread apart or limit the # of people at least... it was not bad. Service, Experience, & Food was a great on my hand :) I would recommend my Yelpers to give it a try. However again please beware that you maybe sitting close to someone due to the tables being close. Check out their menu: https://www.batchsouthernkitchen.com/menu/ Brunch on weekends of course, Lunch & Dinner :) read more

Why I won't go back: The food's too heavy. Some of it is tasty, but you walk outta here with that feeling like your stomach is gonna remind you later how much you just abused it. Do NOT order: BBQ Jackfruit "Pulled Pork" sandwich. For one, it's a mess - not humanly possible to eat it as a sandwich. Plus, it doesn't come as traditional pulled pork, but pork cubes. Sauce is pretty good, but buyer beware - it's not what you might expect from how it reads on the menu. Tony's Tip: Not a place to be over ordering. One app to share max, and skip the Fixins on the side unless you plan on taking leftovers with you. We've been here twice. Finding great southern food can be challenging, and the Yelp reviews here made Batch seem like a can't miss place. But they missed, and big time on our second visit. For starters, the outside tables that earlier diners had eaten at remained full of the food casualties from that previous party. They were not cleaned until the hostess was seating the next party and literally did a 5-second rag swipe while seating the new guests. Happened to us and the table next to us as well, so it wasn't a fluke. Man, have we done a 180 from a year ago during our Covid cleanliness obsession phase. Not sayin' you gotta sanitize it like an emergency room operating table but don't leave random food particles and whatever else happened during that last seating. Take 30 seconds after diners leave and do the table and chairs like your mother taught ya. Awful curb appeal and really unappetizing for the people you're seating next. As for the food, I'd like to say we were happy with what we ordered, but we struggled to even put an order together. "I'll start with the deviled eggs." What - you're out of those? They're eggs! Fine forget it. My wife will have the Jambalaya. Oh, come on! That's basically why we came here. Okay, then the smoked brisket sandwich. No brisket...you're serious? Can we at least start with a beer? How about that local one - the Floridian Hefeweizen. You are NOT out of Floridian! I can buy that at the supermarket around the corner, like, right now! After our waitress rattled off a few more items they were also out of, we settled on the chicken and waffles, that "pulled pork sandwich" (quotes are deliberate), the bacon tots to start, and straight up Mac (& cheese) Attack. All of the food was decent. The tots were rich, with more cheese than potato. The fried chicken was juicy, the skin tender but still crispy. I guess that mac & cheese was what I expected, but it was so dense I swear I could put in a good bicep curl workout with that serving. You get the picture. I think my food coma started before we even signed the check. The drinks are creative and the beer list is broad. Service is friendly. The food came out pretty quickly, with the entrees lagging only about 5 minutes behind the tots. Prices are reasonable. In the end, Batch clearly has a fan base of Yelpers and diners. Not gonna dis them. But in my view, Batch had too many misses that make it uncomfortable and unpredictable. I don't need that when I'm eating out. read more

OK, I am a happy hour junkies and that is what originally attracted me to Batch. You can eat outside and they have a very limited but good happy hour menu -- oysters, chicken wings, chicken sliders etc. Many drinks are $5. it's a fun place with terrific comfort food. read more

Best chicken and waffles I have ever had hands down. Get them Nashville Hot for a counter to the sweetness. The plate is huge and I had to be starving to finish it all. Came here twice. I'll be honest -- wasn't impressed by the service from the first experience but brunch blew me away. I went with another Yelper not knowing to expect but we were attracted by the bottomless mimosas. We sat outside which is a great people-watching spot on Clematis. Their bottomless mimosas are around $18 and there is a time limit of 2 hours- which was honestly perfect for our brunch. I actually liked that the orange juice was really fresh tasting. The food was pretty tasty. I'm a creature of habit and I love to order eggs benedict so when I saw a crab cake eggs Benedict option ($17) on the list, I knew I had to get it. One of the best ones I've ever had! The combo of crispy crab cakes with bacon and hollandaise sauce was out of this world. My friend really enjoyed her dish too. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch! A nice newer option for Clematis. read more

My friend and I ate here while on vacation. It was in the cutest spot and was super cute inside. I got a Cosmo as an alcoholic beverage - it was sweet with a good kick to it. We ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer and they were so good. I got the lunch order of chicken 'n waffles with dark meat. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, really juicy and came out smoking hot. The waffles were delicious, fluffy and so good. I really enjoyed this restaurant and would come back. Batch for the Batch-elorette boozy brunch was the PERFECT spot. It's southern, home cooked, and feel all warm and fuzzy inside menu options were outstanding. Pairing with the bottomless mimosa or Bellini of your choice made our experience a memorable one. The vibe was lively, energetic, and homey! It pertained to all parties whether you're a couple out on a date or for a group celebration, this is the place for you! I got the chicken and waffles (inspired by the table across from us) just wish it was off the bone to be easier to eat but otherwise WELL WORTH IT (I'm still drooling) and the other orders at the table were good but not as good as the chicken and waffles... it made the table jealous! I enjoyed batch very much and can't wait to be back! read more

I decided to come here after seeing the reviews on Yelp, and they definitely did not lead me astray! Batch is a really fun & modern restaurant with plenty of options for people of all ages. The space itself is very clean, warm, and inviting. We ordered the loaded tots and BBQ pork egg rolls to start with and both were delicious. Their cornbread waffles and chicken were excellent-and I especially loved the honey that came with it! Everything was presented beautifully and there were unique twists to each dish to really make it their own. Only downside was our appetizers took a really long time to come out for some reason. Besides that, everything was great. Highly recommend! read more

I don't know if a restaurant can be a soulmate, but I've got a legit crush on this one. Don't ya hate it when a group comes wandering into your restaurant 20 minutes before closing time? If I had a restaurant, I'm sure I would. And yet, the nice folks at Batch were welcoming and gracious. Instant good vibes. One look at the menu and I knew there was something special going on here. Burnt Ends in a root beer bbq sauce. Pulled pork egg rolls. Oysters. House made bacon tots (!). Short rib and chorizo Taquitos. Where to begin?! Unsurprisingly, we began with the Bacon Tots. Take everything you think you know about bacon and tater tots, then multiply it by breading and a deep fryer. What you end up with is something exponentially better than anything I expected. Moving on to main courses, making a selection gets even more difficult. The southern theme isn't just in the decor. Shrimp 'n grits. Chicken 'n waffles. Root beer braised short ribs. Burgers. Brisket sandwich. Oh, baby! It all sounds so good! Where have you been all my life?? But wait - what's this? Something called Mac Attack - Cavatappi Mac, Smoked Cheddar & Gouda, "Spicy" Frito Dust. But wait, there's more! Optional add-ons for the Mac allow for lots of creativity. I opted to layer 6 oz. of strip steak and whiskey caramelized onion atop my creamy, cheesy pasta goodness, and it was rapturous! I don't know if food is supposed to ignite an endorphin rush, but I think that just happened. But on another night , I could have gone with add-ons like pecan whiskey candied bacon and jackfruit, or maybe truffle oil. The possibilities are mind boggling. There's so much more I'd have liked to try, like Buttermilk Drop Biscuits served with Local Chili-Thyme Honey, Seasonal Local Jam, & Bourbon-Maple Butter. Or White Cheddar & Green Chile Grits, which sound stunningly good to me. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention they have a very nice beer selection and a great list of house cocktails. The wonderful Porscha took great care of us, a super friendly server who made us feel welcome and not the least bit rushed despite our late arrival. I hope we get her again when we return. Oh yes, there will definitely be a second date with this exciting eatery! read more

First time visiting Batch and it won't be the last. My friend and I visited for brunch. The wait was about 30 minutes to be seated (they were visibly busy). Once we were seated, the service was amazing. Our waiter was so friendly, attentive and hilarious that we didn't even notice that it took a good while for our food to come out (again, they were very busy, so no biggie). Oh and it did help that our waiter kept the bottom-less mimosas coming even before our glasses were empty. Good distraction tactic. It totally worked :-). I ordered the Brisket and Short Rib Burger. AMAZING! Cooked exactly as requested and oozing with the perfect aioli sauce and caramelized onions. The only thing I didn't care for was the explicits laden music. I don't have a problem with the type of music, I just expected to hear the "clean versions" since it was brunch o'clock :-) Anyhoo, I can't wait to go back.
