We went to Batch for the first time in West Palm Beach in May with some of our friends and it was a cute date night spot! We had the Crispy Chicken Cobb Salad and the BBQ Jackfruit "Pulled Pork" - both of which were good! There are also so many spots located on Clematis Street. read more

I was told that this is best place to eat several people. Well here is my review. I don't post anything unless it is deserved. First the checking was seem less. The bartenders were simply amazing. There is no pressure to order quickly. Of course they attended to my needs without pressure. I started with water and lime. As I perused the menu for Brunch. Danielle and Andrew deserve a MAJOR shout out service and attention to detail because of their IMPECCABLE service. I asked a zillion questions and they delivered without being stumped on any questions. I order deviled eggs, chicken and waffles and bottomless mimosas. You can't to wrong EATING here. The food was INCREDIBLE. The other waitresses I recommend are Taylor and Madison are AMAZING waitress that I would recommend as well. read more

I actually stopped into this place on our way to another place to meet up with another couple. Lucky for us the other place was closed so we came here for a bloody Mary. The other couple we were meeting texted us while we were there and we told him where we were. They came in and we all decided to eat here. They were very easy to transfer the drink tab to a table. And I got the shrimp and grits and my husband got a chicken thigh sandwich. The shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious and same for the chicken sandwich. Our waitress was new and we were three couples and asked her if she could split up a check she was kind enough to say yes and there was a couple of mistakes. So we sent them back and the manager came over and apologized and wound up giving us all 20% off of our check. I'm not sure if it's just on the weekends or week but they have an all you can drink sangria and mimosas but you are limited to 2 hours. I went with the bloody Mary it was very good and it had some sort of candied bacon in it - yum. I am very thankful the other place wasn't open yet because this place was delicious read more

I've been to both the WPB and Fort Lauderdale locations and brought my sister to Batch after raving about it. And just last week, hubby finally came with me too. I had no idea that Clematis Street had a vibrant, Sunday football scene. Batch was packed with emotional fans from across the NFL diaspora. It was LOUD inside! Hubby rated the burger in his top 10-it is good, juicy, and just the right amount of seasoning to further enhance the natural beef flavor. And it's probably the best tasting AND best priced burger in WPB at $16--the taste and quality far exceed the price. I had the Cesar salad with chicken. This was not your typical, over-dressed, package crouton Cesar--you can literally taste all the ingredients of the dressing. The grilled artichokes made this something special--I was digging around for more of them! I almost forgot--GET THE BANANA PUDDING. I am a sucker for sweets; and I love banana desserts. So this is served in a 12 ounce or so mason jar. It is layered with homemade pie crust, topped with heavenly whipped cream, and a carmelized banana. It's light and delicate, but not overly sweet; so this dessert will fool you into thinking it's healthier because it contains a banana. It is very indulgent, but I didn't feel too guilty since I had the amazing Cesar salad. Yum--Go Batch! Another one of my favorite, go-to places in WPB. Be careful during NFL season if you don't like loud, raging fans. Recommend reservations because it is busy! read more

I did not enjoy batch's food unfortunately. I had the Nashville hot chicken sliders which were not hot whatsoever and were pretty dry as well. I felt disappointed that when the server came over to bring the check that although I had only taken two bites of the meal he didn't utter a word or even ask if everything was okay. I wasn't looking for it to be taken off the bill or anything of the sorts but just so acknowledgment or even if I could've swapped it with something else could've changed my view on this restaurant. My friend had the chicken and waffles which he did enjoy but it didn't come with any syrup which he said would've made it great. My other friend had the crab cake and was nervous because of how fishy it smelled - that she couldn't even actually eat it. I really wanted to love this place but I would have a hard time being convinced to come back. read more

It was my bday weekend and initially I didn't want to do anything but then I thought that I you know what. Why not a Sunday Brunch? I made a reservation online because I kinda knew that it was going to be a long wait and I also had a bigger party. Because of the very bad weather, it was raining really bad that day, I called to say that we were going to be super late and they told me that it was fine. When my group and I got there we were told that our reservation was cancelled because she called me but it went through voicemail. Never received that call but whatever. Vibe: Omg the place is so cute. The vibe is there. Music is blasting. I love the vibe at this place. Customer Service: Because of that incidence, my party and I were really really mad because we waited very long. But there was a lady there that was super nice and made sure we were good after all. Our server Kira was really nice. She was so patient at times with our orders lol. Food: Overall a majority of my party were dissapointed of their food. I had the ribs with the spinach and watermelon and honestly I loved it. Another friend of mine had the Chicken and Waffles and she thought it tasted better than average. Other than that everybody else were either ok with their food or dissapointed. BUT!!! Once we mentioned it to the lady they were so nice to give discounts to everybody who was dissapointed. I LOVE LOVE their flexibilty with making sure clients are satisfied. Price: Pretty affordable. Coming back or nah? Yess im coming back. Everybody deserve a second chance lol. read more

Excellent and fun night out at this establishment! It was our first time and we came with another couple to try it out. Our friends were running late due to traffic so we decided to munch on an appetizer and have some drinks. We went with the Burnt Ends and an order of Buttermilk Drop Biscuits. The biscuits came with an herbal honey and a delicious jam. The Burnt Ends were outstanding, with a root beer bbq sauce that blew our minds. Highly recommend them. The drinks were something special. So good! Nice and strong but not overpowering. We had the Hard Rootbeer, Gin Pink Lemonade, Old Fashioned, Chatham Artillary Punch, and several others. If that seems like a lot, that's because it is! The drinks were so good. I'm not normally a big drinker but damn they were good, we tried so many! By the time our friends arrived and we ordered main courses, the evening was getting a bit blurry so I don't have any pics from that point on :D I seem to remember the food being delicious though. Near the end of the night we were treated to a round of housemade Fireball shots, when the waitress found out it was my lovely wife's birthday. I don't like Fireball shots. I loved these Fireball shots. We cannot wait to be patrons of this fine business again! read more

The appetizers were amazing and were a home run. Unfortunately most of us at the table all agreed, the main course was a miss. My pasta dish was missing something and just felt incomplete, my wife's chicken from her chicken and waffles was over fried, and my friends meatless burger was too salty. The flavors were there , but it was an unfortunate that they fell a bit short. The appetizers were amazing, the tots and egg rolls specifically. I'd try it again, but the hype was higher than the actual execution. read more

Food is just too heavy. I did not feel good upon leaving. The biscuits were so warm and delicious, and my husband's cheddar waffle was good; but everything else fell flat for me. The menu is not my favorite but I knew that going into it. Our server was slamming busy and barely checked in with us. Not really his fault. I got the Mac and cheese and it was very tasty. The host? Brought our food out and I asked him for a refill on my ginger ale. He said he would let the server know. The host continued to just stand at the front podium doing nothing for the next 20 mins. Well it never got filled the entire rest of the meal until I was done with my dish. There have to be other places on clematis to go to. Will not be returning back. read more

We went there on a Tuesday afternoon during HH. The place was empty when we arrived, but got very busy pretty soon. The service was pretty slow. However, they know how to make and present cocktails (my Cucumber Crush was very refreshing). They also carry a big variety of craft beers (I liked the Due South Category 3 IPA), and a decent wine & liquors list. The prices for the drinks are very decent, and are reduced to 50% during HH (with some exceptions). They have a good selections of bites in HH: I liked the Hot Chicken Sliders, but really loved the BBQ Pulled Pork Eggrolls! We'll be back! read more

While we may be biased, as this is where we first met, it's that tea brined fried chicken and corn meal waffle that keeps us coming back! Tender and juicy, you'd be hard pressed to find a better bird. Accompanied by the crisp waffle and that delectable butter... this is what heaven tastes like! Don't even get me started on the Bootleger infused cocktail on tap... a little sweet and a little spicy... it can be dangerous! If you're in downtown West Palm Beach it's a must! read more

I've been to Batch twice now because I had to go back for more! Our waitress was fantastic, checked on us often, and was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the food. Could not have asked for better service. But also the FOOD. My table got the brisket sandwich (pictured) which was so good with the fries and definitely ask for a side of their root beer barbecue sauce. I also got the shrimp and grits (pictured) which was packed with delicious cheese! Mmmm so good. Not pictured we also got the chicken pot pie which was super well seasoned (especially since I'm not usually a huge fan) and chicken and waffles. The waffles are so CRISPY in a really good way. All the drinks were deliciously handcrafted and 1/2 off during happy hour from 4-7!!! Definitely go! read more

3.5 stars solely for the chicken and waffles. Allow me to elaborate... I've had Batch bookmarked since I moved here 2+ years ago. I'm always wary of southern spots in touristy streets but the reviews can't all be lies. Luckily, the positive reviews were accurate in regards to the chicken and waffle. Best dish on the menu. The chicken is seasoned and fried well. Now on to the not so well: black coffee should be as easy as water.. truly.. a brunch/breakfast spot should have black coffee down. Not here unfortunately. That was strike 1 for me. We also ordered the Nashville hot chicken sliders which were just not good. The chicken was chewy and def not the same quality as the chicken and waffles. That was disappointing. Lastly, we got the cast iron pecan Cinnabon. My husband liked it but I wasn't obsessed. The cast iron twist was fun but the taste was just OK - a bit dry for my cinnabuds.. ok I'll stop now. read more

Saw the great reviews for Batch and wanted to come here. Finally had an opportunity on a Sunday night. We were seated immediately as it was not crowded..+. Joseph was our server++. There were 3 of us. Two of us decided to split the chicken/waffle and one decided on the BBQ sandwich. We ordered the mac n cheese to share. Servings were large +. BBQ was delicious.+ Chicken was dry and overcooked.- - waffle was delicious +. Mac ok. Since I have more pluses than minuses, maybe should have given this a 4, but couldn't forgive the dry chicken!!! read more

I've been to Batch for brunch. I've been to Batch for happy hour. I applaud both of these at this establishment that took over for The Alchemist after they closed. Batch delivers with their whiskey and drink selection, as well as their food menu offerings. There hasn't been a dish I've ordered yet I haven't liked. Brunch, they ace. Having had items like the Southern Crispy Chicken Breakfast with Deviled Eggs, Candied Bacon, and homemade biscuits, Batch has this meal down pat. Their Heartland Bloody Mary is also legitimate and good, full of happiness and life in the day light. Happy Hour is terrific at Batch, having half off most whiskeys and other spirits that are normally $13 or less per serving, as well as select cocktails. They offer $6 bar bites like 3 oysters (raw or baked), bacon-wrapped tater tots, deviled eggs, amongst others. The baked oysters and taters are phenomenal, as well as the eggs -- you will be placing multiple orders with the bartender. Being a whiskey drinker, I applaud their selection. You can't go wrong with labels like E.H Taylor and Michter's to name a couple. They house Japanese whiskeys like Suntory, which is also really good. The only drawback is the acoustics, something that was a challenge for The Alchemist when they were in the space. Once you have more than a score of people inside -- 20 for those unaware of the use of definition, the sound becomes quite noisy. You will be most likely to find parking the garage on the corner of Olive and Banyan, with street spots available should you be lucky at whatever time of day it is. Batch is a great addition to the 100 block of Clematis. read more

Based on the reviews, I thought it would be a lot better. We went for lunch on a recent weekend. The service was really slow. There were many servers around and yet they seemed to not really be attending to the tables. It took atleast 10 minutes to even get a server. Our server took our order but someone else brought the food and someone else brought the check. It was weird. Our original server didn't even come by to see if we wanted another round and we had to ask them to bring water which seems basic. We asked for oysters to be brought out before main entree and everything was brought out together. It's noisy. The restaurant itself is cool looking. The food was just ok. They did not remove the muscle from the oyster so it was a nightmare to eat them. The draft beer was good and their cocktail was good. That's kind of it. Won't go back for sure. read more

Batch Local Kitchen - Cocktail Bars Near Me - West Palm Beach, Florida

This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, for several reasons. First, we arrived and found they were not serving their lunch menu and instead were only serving brunch (unexpected since it was a weekday but we understood since it was a holiday). We specifically selected this restaurant because of the diverse lunch menu given the different diets of our party, and were disappointed to find the brunch menu was 3 pages of alcohol and one page of food (mostly breakfast). Important to note we couldn't have simply called to inquire about this because as I later learned - they never answer their phone. We were also rudely informed upon arrival that our table had a 90 minute limit and we would need to be out after 90 minutes. We asked for straws for our waters, since given the pandemic it's a little gross to put your mouth on a restaurant glass... we were told they had no straws, but saw many other patrons with straws (which we eventually got by asking another employee). The service was slow which we understood given the holiday, but since our 90 minute clock was ticking it was a little annoying. Our food came and some of it was totally inedible (I.e. burnt bacon, unidentifiable items). My mom's salad came out with dressing on top instead of on the side. They replaced it but it took about 15 minutes and arrived at our 75 minute mark - good thing she can chew fast! The hostess kept coming by with her iPad and staring like she was timing us. I was the only one who enjoyed the food (the chicken and waffles was delicious so I'll give them props for that - I wouldn't say it was worth $22 though). In addition, this place was much louder and rowdier than we expected. In summary - this is more of a bar than a restaurant. If you're looking to drink and party (for less than 90 minutes), this may be for you. If you're looking for a dignified meal with family and friends, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Parking was easy (and free, on a Sunday) at the City lot around the corner. The restaurant features an open layout with light pouring from the front. I was part of a large party, and we were seated in the very middle of the entire joint at a long table with stools. Our waiter was patient and prompt, giving each of us separate bills without any problems and handling order mishaps with grace. I drank a bellini; it was ok. I will try one of their hand-mixed sodas next time instead (so many cool-looking options!) I ordered the crab cake benedict. It wasn't very appealing to look at; my potatoes were so curled and browned that they almost looked unappealing, but they were good! I feel silly admitting this, but I wasn't a huge fan of the biscuits. I couldn't locate the thyme that was supposed to be in them, and although they did taste like my mother's biscuits, she always used Bisquick, and that's not really what I was going for! Based on everyone else's rave reviews, though, they are worth a second try. Batch offers many brunch options I wanted to try. All in all, I dined in awesome company. I definitely recommend Batch for a large private party. Although it was fairly loud, I could hear my companions fine. read more

I did a quick trip to West Palm Beach yesterday. I think it's cool to go to different cities and try different food. I want to give a 3.8. Lol Guest Service: The guest service was really good. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and had good suggestions overall, it was overall good hospitality. Food: So let's talk about the food. I ordered the deviled eggs as my appetizer. Let me give you a little background about deviled eggs so that you can make your own decision. I am very picky when it comes to the filling because I like a sweet and savory taste, and this filling had more of a savory taste so I didn't like them but my waitress was nice and I asked her if I could swap (which I never do) them for the biscuits with honey. Let me tell you about these biscuits, they were really good maybe I haven't had a good biscuit from scratch but I can tell they put a lot of emphasis on the whole presentation of the biscuit from the butter to the honey to the jam. I also got to try the cinnamon rolls which were pretty good but for my personal preference, I like the biscuits better. For my main course, I got fried chicken with grits and sausage gravy and it was okay. Do I need to go back to get it again? No, but it wasn't terrible at all. I just feel like the sausage gravy could have had more flavor to it and the chicken could've been crisper. But I also think it's because I got the grits instead of the potatoes and the grits made it a little soggy. Clean: The restaurant was clean, but when I was looking into the restaurant I saw a little bit of debris out front and they had just opened which was annoying to me, but it wasn't over the top. It wasn't crazy. I'm just a little OCD, other than that in the restaurant everything was clean. It was a little tight on space but enough to be comfortable, I like the vibe of the restaurant so I didn't care about spacing. Overall would I go back to the restaurant again? Yes, I would go back and maybe I'll just try something else like the chicken and waffles. It looked really good. read more

Ok but wow, I was not expecting this place to be so good. It's very much Tik Tok famous. It's crazy, I'm always at Clematis but I have never noticed this place before. But my friend and I was starving so we decided to check this place out. It was a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly not very crowded. We were at the hostess stand when we were trying to decide where we were going to sit. We picked a table in the back, but the hostess alerted us that that section was closed because the server for that section was running late and there would be no one to serve us. It was a little bit of a red flag but I'm glad I ignored it because the service was smooth sailing from there. She sat us by the bar in the front, which wasn't bad at all. A waitress came by and started us off with some drinks. The drinks were a little pricey for the size but it is what it is. Then my friend and I really got into the menu and were excited by what we saw. We were both mesmerized by the mac & cheese section of the menu and that you could customize your toppings! We both topped ours with chicken and bacon, I added some truffle oil on mines. Delicious. I also ordered shrimp & grits which I definitely recommend as well, so gooey and delicious and the shrimp had an amazing flavor. Everything tasted really homemade, we were so curious who the chefs were. Overall I had a great experience. I had enough food to bring home and have for lunch the next day (it's even better the next day). read more
