After walking around for about 15 mins I asked a woman for help and she very coolly told me she was busy. Ok. So it's super obvious I was being ignored. All the women who received help were white and dressed nicely. I call this phenomenon being "Pretty Womaned", lol. In a past life, I was a makeup artist and worked on a couple of film sets. None of the professional makeup artists I worked with who had been in the industry for about 30 years wore any make up. And I stopped wearing daily makeup after dealing with some significant health challenges. Personally, I choose good skin care over caking my face with too much toxic makeup. The reason I bring this all up is...be nice to all the people. Not just the white fancy ones. Or the ones caked with product. You never know who the person is that just walked through the door. Won't be back xoxo

Of course, I was a tad perturbed because I confirmed prior to coming. Luckily the manage Heather, was nice enough to honor the request because I showed them the number I dialed to confirm. They said it could have been the staff on lunch who gave me the incorrect info because she actually came from the concord store. Nonetheless, I was very appreciative of Heathers impeccable customer service. Not only did she honor my request but she listened to me and assisted in helping me pick the most perfect shadows and lipstick and gave me some great tips to enhance my application techniques. Thanks Heather! You are an awesome manager.

Nordstrom itself is still a great place to shop. This review is really for the free styling…read moreservice they offer. I was in need of a professional wardrobe after working from home the last few years. I set up an appointment with a stylist online and she called to ask what I was looking for, my sizes, color preferences etc. I was very specific- I needed an interview suit for my conservative industry, as well as day to day office pieces and shoes. I also said I was open to jewelry (costume - Nordstrom is one of the best stores for costume jewelry that is still high quality IMO). We set an appt and I cane in and she had reserved a large fitting room and had it filled with suits and separates. Everything in row sizes (I'm a 4 or a 6 based on the designer). Nice job of bringing in both high end and more reasonable prices. No shoes, no jewelry, no outfit suggestions. That was the "style" part I really wanted. Basically for a free service it's a nice time saver to have clothes pulled and ready for you to try on. But that's it. I was prepared to spend a lot of money because I hadn't shopped much in a long time and I ended up with a single suit, a blouse, and a random t shirt I later texted the same stylist to ask if she could pull some options for an upcoming wedding I had to go to. Never heard back.

First, we showed up to the Concord location and they said all appointments were rescheduled to the Pleasant Hill location. Okay not horrible, so we drove 8 minutes to the Pleasant Hill location. When we got there, we met the stylist, Kihjuana. She was INCREDIBLY rude and honestly made us feel like we were in her way, wasting HER time? She didn't even look at my moms hair, was very cold, and overall seemed to be treating us horribly. We were very kind and respectful to her. She took less than 5 minutes for the "consultation." I basically had to pry to get answers out of her and she was dodging my questions and was overall annoyed that I was asking her questions at a consultation? Girl if u dont have customer service maybe consider not working a customer facing role? Anyways, was very weird when it came to me asking for the price. Honestly save your time and your energy and see another stylist. I hope nobody else has the same experience we did.
